“Is that something I should be happy about?

Her question halted Churu’s jubilation, as the cute white dumpling peered her with confusion.

“of course!”

“Why?”

“Gaining points makes you level up, grant you limited access to the system, and have privileges, chu~!” Churu informed in a matter-of-factly tone.

Lexi’s perfectly shaped brows arc in interest. Though she already knew that a system exist inside her, however, she don’t fully understood what gains she’ll have aside from having a second life. Hence, now that she thinks about it, maybe, she’ll also have benefits if she study the law of the ‘love system’ that was planted on her.

Moreover, Lexi realize that Churu won’t detailed things to her if she will not ask — making her think that Churu is a live manual to the so called program. Hence, Lexi questioned Churu again to confirm her guess.

“Why didn’t you mention it before?”

“You didn’t ask, chu~!

When she heard Churu’s answer, it somewhat confirmed Lexi’s conclusion of Churu’s purpose and her existence together with the system.

“What privileges?”

“I can’t say yet, chu~!”

“Why?”

“You have to unlock the first stage, chu~”

“So, basically, I can’t know what are they if I don’t level up?” Lexi clarifies.

“Exactly… chu~”

“Can you stop saying ‘chu’?” Annoyed by constantly hearing the ‘chu’ words in every sentence Churu spat out.

“I can’t for now, chu~!”

“For now… does it mean there’s a chance for you to stop saying that annoying word in the future?”

“Yes, chu! If only I evolve, chu~!”

Lexi sighs heavily as the system conversation distracts her fuming heart. She leaned her back against the exquisite leather interior of the driver’s seat as she rest both of her hands on the steering wheel. “I see. So, I have to put my interest in the system to gain knowledge about it.”

Churu didn’t responded and only smiled cutely to her. “What are you going to do now, chu~?”

“I don’t know. Morris decision is set in stone. Ethan… o god, I can’t even imagine making him fall for me — she don’t lacks women. My family — *sigh* I don’t know… what to do with my life.” As Lexi spats her concern, she hang her head low until it reached the steering wheel to where her hand rest.

Time passed by and Lexi didn’t move a muscle. Since she already phoned and made an appointment with Mr. Tanaka, alas, it will take weeks or months for that arrangement to make. After all, that certain person is a busy man and can’t meet him without proper arrangements.

Though Lexi’s interest towards the system within her, her top priority is to salvage their dying company which push her to the seemingly dead end.

Thinking hard enough, a light knock on the window startled the distress Lexi. She turned her gaze to the person outside, alas, Lexi’s eyes dilate in shock. Keeping her senses together, Lexi straighten her stance as she roll down the car’s window.

“Hey, Ms. Yang.” Ethan bent his head down to see Lexi’s poker face while his hand was placed on the sedan’s roof panel.

“What is it that Mr. Lu wants?” Lexi sassed out of habit. Though she knew one day she will regret her diva attitude, but, what can she do? It’s her nature. Moreover, Ethan Lu just witness her most pitiful state earlier when she knelt down in front of Morris. Hence, pretending to be unaffected is her defense mechanism.

“You.” Ethan smoothly replied without a change on his bewitching smile. He added, “want to have dinner with me?”

Lexi automatically rolled up her window in disgust. Given that Ethan Lu was undeniably handsome, alas, his reputation in his love interest are terrifying. For all she know, Ethan Lu might have tasted every woman in the country or almost everyone.

“Eh? That’s your chance for more points, chu~!” Churu tilts her head that was straightly intact with her body in confusion.

Hearing Churu’s words, Lexi was reminded that she still needed Ethan Lu. ‘Sh*t!’

Instantly going back on her action, Lexi rigidly rolled down her window and spoke to the confused Ethan. “The food must be good.”

Hearing her agreeing after rejecting him, Ethan Lu suppressed his chuckles to her changeable mind. Though Lexi was still keeping her high and mighty front, alas, she looks rather cute when she pretends to be unaffected to her sudden change of mind.
