Xie Shengjun looked at his wife. There was absolutely no other consolation he could offer her other than having the baby as peacefully as possible. He wanted her to concentrate on herself rather than shouting at everyone because he wanted her to conserve energy for her.

When her husband used the word 'peacefully', Keira flared up yet again. She shouted at him and her yell could be heard outside in the corridors. The bodyguards shuddered to even think what might be happening to their Master inside.

Xie Yuansheng and Feng Xinying were sitting like statues outside. Suddenly Xie Yuansheng said to one of the guards, "Go, fetch me ice cream."

"Yes Master," replied the guard and was about to leave when Xie Yuansheng called him again. "Wait!" He took his wallet out and gave him three hundred Yuan. "Get a bucket of ice cream!"

The guard looked at his Master. He wanted to say that 'Boss the ice cream is not even hundred Yuan.' However, he took the money and ran away from there happy to get a little relief from the noise that was reverberating in the corridor now. Taking this opportunity another guard joined saying "I will help you choose a good ice cream flavor."

Hearing her shout, the nurse came inside along with the doctor. She looked at Keira who was now sweating profusely and said, "Miss Kiera, you must do breathing exercises. Don't shout at your husband. Now that you are already pregnant, you must concentrate on giving birth to your child. Each and every hour is important because your pains have intensified. Soon you will feel that the baby is pushing out. That is the most important time. So please save your energy for giving birth."

Keira started crying. "I know that… but whenever I see Xie Shengjun I want to kill him."

Xie Shengjun was very angry with the nurse. He said, "Let my wife shout if she wants to!"

The nurse pursed her lips and the doctor didn't even utter a word because he didn't want to be in the line of wrath of a man like Xie Shengjun. But Keira understood what the nurse said. She had to endure the pain and focus on giving birth to her baby.

Outside in the corridor, the guards had brought Xie Yuansheng a bucket of ice cream. Xie Yuansheng immediately opened it and started having large spoonful. He was so nervous that he wanted to numb his brain and that was the only way. He would look at Feng Xinying and hold her hand in between eating and say, "Baby, I am so sorry. We will just have this one baby. I will not have another one. Please darling, don't shout at me when you will give birth."

Feng Xinying flicked his head and said, "Too late to think that hubby! Anyways I am going inside to see Keira."

He wondered whether she would shout or not. Soon the ice cream bucket was over.

Feng Xinying went inside and saw that Keira was now concentrating on breathing. She went to hold her hand. When Keira saw two of the most lovable people standing beside her and giving her so much support, she stopped shouting.

It had been almost seven hours and the pain was coming within five minutes interval. Suddenly Keira could feel the baby push. She shouted, "The baby is coming. I can feel the push!"

Xie Shengjun left her and ran to call the doctor. The doctor hadn't left the hospital even after his duty hours were over, as he knew how VIP the family was. He went inside the labor room and the first thing he said was, "Miss Xinying, I suggest that you go out of this room."

Feng Xinying wanted to stay but she took the doctor's advice.

Once she was out, the doctor positioned herself in front of Keira and said, "Push! Push hard! As soon as you feel the push, you have to do it!"

Keira nodded. In two minutes, she felt the push again. She closed her eyes and pushed. The feeling subsided. She opened her eyes and asked, "Is the baby out?"

The doctor smiled and said, "No, but I can see it's head."

All of a sudden there was another feeling and this time Keira used all her might to push her baby out.

"Good!" said the doctor. "Once more!" She looked at Xie Shengjun and said, "Come here, the baby is about to be born."

Xie Shengjun left Keira and went to see the birth of his child. He could see the head.

Keira pushed again and this time her baby slid out right into the hands of the doctor.

Xie Shengjun fainted.

The baby cried loudly as soon as out.

The doctor smiled and showed Keira her baby. "It's a baby girl." Keira looked at her daughter and in a second forgot all the pain.

The nurse took the baby to clean it while the doctor took some water to splash it on Xie Shengjun for him to recover.

Xie Yuansheng and Feng Xinying rushed inside when they heard the baby's cries.

Xie Shengjun recovered and sat down as Xie Yuansheng helped his brother to stand up. Feng Xinying looked at the nurse cleaning the baby while the doctor concentrated on stitching the tear that had formed due to baby birth. There was a small anesthetic given before the stitches and Keira didn't even feel the pain.

Xie Shengjun got up on his feet.

By now the nurse had cleaned the child who was still crying. She wrapped the baby in a cute panda soft blanket and gave her to her father. Xie Shengjun held the little in his arms. He looked at his baby's tiny hands and there were tears in his eyes. "My little Keira…" he said. Surprisingly the baby stopped crying as she opened her big eyes and saw her daddy. She smiled. "She is so beautiful," said Xie Shengjun. The baby smiled again.

Xie Yuansheng held Feng Xinying by her waist as they were both looking at the blissful couple in front of them. Xie Yuansheng held his wife's hand and sighed. His wait to see his baby increased multifold.

Xie Shengjun and Keira's days of parenthood had started. They were unaware of all the sleepless nights that waited for them.
