After Feng Xinying was sure that Xie Yuansheng had gulped the soup down his throat, she removed her lips from his. Xie Yuansheng ended up coughing a little. "What did you do?" he said with slight anger.

"Now have your soup properly or I am going to feed you like this again," said Feng Xinying slightly shamelessly.

Even though he loved the way she had fed him and wouldn't have minded if she had continued, he had to keep his face of anger and how could he give up so easily? She hadn't shown her face to him for so long and now suddenly she came and fed him like that. A pink blush rose on his cheeks and he said, "Okay fine, I will drink the soup myself." Feng Xinying handed him the soup bowl. He took it from her and she started watching him while still sitting on his thighs. Feng Xinying blushed deeply when she became aware of his member poking her from below. "I am sorry," she said and hopped out of his lap. Then to hide her awkwardness, she asked him, "Why do you keep falling sick so often? I get worried."

"Why? Don't you want to take care of me? Anyways, you don't have to be so nice to me," he replied.

She looked at him and narrowed his eyes and said, "I am doing my duty."

"You don't have to do your duty. You can always neglect me. After all I am a nobody and just your Chef," he said with a sad look on his face. He held the soup bowl in his hand without taking another sip.

Feng Xinying noticed it and shook her head. This man wanted her to take care of him and at the same time act like a baby and show his stubbornness. She was at a loss of words. "It seems I have to again feed you forcefully!" she said and started to sit on him again.

"No!" he replied and had the soup.

"I am such a miserable person. I am taking care of you and yet you are angry with me," she said feeling bad.

"Why were you locked in your room all this while? You didn't want to come to me?" complained Xie Yuansheng. "I was feeling low."

"I was in the hospital with Keira. She had a fight with Kate and Kate pushed her in which Keira's pregnancy suffered," explained Feng Xinying. "When I came back, I was a low and wanted to be alone."

Xie Yuansheng was shocked. "Suffered in what way?" he asked feeling guilty as to what the hell happened to a small thing that was done out of good gesture and had bloated to this level.

"She is bleeding and now the doctor has asked her to stay in bed all the time until she gives birth to her baby," she replied, suddenly feeling for her baby.

Xie Yuansheng felt so guilty that he lowered his eyes and looked miserable. "I shouldn't have asked you to give party for Kate. Everything has gone wrong because of me."

Feng Xinying didn't know what to say and so she kept quiet. It was her plan to get rid of Kate but if she had agreed to not having a party at the Feng Mansion, this wouldn't have happened. In the end Feng Xinying came to the conclusion that it was neither of theirs fault. Kate was just too vicious and impulsive. She lowered her head.

Seeing that she had become quiet, Xie Yuansheng thought that she was perhaps thinking the same. He sighed and drank his soup.

When Feng Xinying looked at Xie Yuansheng next, she saw that he had finished the soup. She said, "Let me take this soup bowl from you. Take rest again, okay?" she said and covered him with the blanket again. She left him and then went to the kitchen to order the servants to prepare light food for Xie Yuansheng.

In the next half an hour, Lu Boyun had brought the medicines and Feng Xinying asked the servants to bring her water. This felt so good that he slept beside her slowly. Perhaps it was the medicine that took its effect or was it Feng Xinying's presence that calmed his nerves?
