Kate was horrified as to what was happening in front of her eyes. In her entire life she couldn't even think that Feng Xinying could come up with such a plan to defeat her so miserably. The previous two days were just wonderful and she had started weaving so many golden moments with Xie Yuansheng. However, everything shattered into a thousand pieces with her father sending her away to America so soon. "Tomorrow?" she asked her father as tears started flowing out of her eyes. "I am not ready… All I wanted to give a chance to the little love that I thought was budding between Brother Xie Yuansheng and me. You people are making me feel as if I have done some heinous crime." She wailed.

Her father held her hand harshly and turned her to look towards the couple who was now climbing the stairs. Feng Xinying was held in Xie Yuansheng's arms bridal style. He was looking at her with so much affection that it melted the hearts of so many watching them. Her head was buried in his neck. They could hear her sniffling and felt very bad for her.

"See the love they have between them and you were trying to break this sacred relationship? Keira is married to Xie Shengjun, who is elder brother of Xie Yuansheng. This family has funded our stay in this country and not only that, Xie Shengjun is funding your education. This is how you repay them?" said her father. You have embarrassed me to the extent that I feel like going and living in solitude."

"No!" cried her mother. "You cannot leave us."

Kate looked at her parents and then at Keira. Keira's anger was going through the roof so Xie Shengjun just held her close to her. He enveloped his hands around her just like Xie Yuansheng did to Feng Xinying. "Both these ladies are so lucky," thought Kate.

"Keira, don't waste your time on such rubbish relatives. You are pregnant and I don't want my baby to have any negative feelings," said Xie Shengjun to Keira pampering her. Keira also hid her head in his chest out of shame.

Kate's father dragged her out of the Mansion in front of her friends and servants. The friends started leaving slowly feeling what a disappointment Kate had been. There entertainment had been spoiled so badly.

"Tsk tsk. Kate was having feelings for her brother-in-law. How terrible could that be?"

"She was breaking such a loving family."

"Feng Xinying is such a warm and elegant lady and she is such a spoiled brat."

"True, Feng Xinying is so pretty. Why would Xie Yuansheng leave a woman like her and go for someone like Kate?"

When the friends left, Keira and Xie Shengjun also left. They went in separate cars. Kate went to her home while her sister to hers. It would take days before Keira would even see Kate's face. She just wanted all this to bury in the past as soon as possible.

Meanwhile when Feng Xinying was being carried to her room in Xie Yuansheng's arms, she had buried her face in his neck. Her warm breath was falling on his skin and so were her tears. Although he was feeling extremely concerned about her, he was also feeling unspoken attraction towards her. All he wanted was to cuddle with her and touch her. What was this happening?

He had gone out with Kate only to see whether his feelings for Feng Xinying were superficial or what he felt was skin deep. There was simply no comparison between Kate and Feng Xinying. What was this string that was pulling him to her? "Shushhh… don't cry Xinying… please… I am so sorry…" He hated when she cried and he hated it even more that he was the reason why she cried. He hated Kate for making her cry. He would never see that girl's face again.

Soon he reached her bedroom and placed her on the bed carefully. After propping her pillows behind her, he removed her sandals and then covered her with a blanket. He lit the bedside lamp and then switched off all other lights. He took a fresh napkin from the side and wiped her tears softly so as not to hurt her face. Her soft skin was so thin and glowing that he was scared that he might hurt her even by wiping her tears. So instead he started wiping them with his fingers.

Feng Xinying loved his touch. She wanted him to take care of her. Even though inside she was satisfied with the outcome of the evening, she wanted him to continue pampering her. She sighed and said, "All I wanted was to give Kate a lovely evening. I am sorry that it turned out to be such a humiliation for her and for us. I didn't know that you had feelings for her." She tried to probe him.

Xie Yuansheng felt as if a hole had been bored into his heart. He was clear of thing now – he had feelings for Feng Xinying. In fact he loved her! "No! I have no feelings for Kate. I dislike her a lot," he replied immediately to dispel any doubts that Feng Xinying had for him. She made her cry. How could he like Kate?

Feng Xinying stared at him through those eyelashes and then slowly brought her hand to his handsome face. She caressed his cheeks with her small fingers and he leaned on her hand. It was such a lovely feeling that he closed his eyes. She kept stroking him and slowly he opened his eyes. None of them spoke to each other as they continued to look into each other's eyes.

Feeling his heated gaze on her, a blush rose on Feng Xinying's cheeks. Her breathing accelerated slightly. She could feel electric sparks all around her body and he could feel the same. He wanted to kiss her more than ever. He wanted to seal her lips with his and kiss her senseless. He wanted to merge in her body, in her soul.

There were so many unknown complicated feelings between them as if it was their first night of love together. The air was intoxicated. They could hear their hearts racing.

"Do you love me?" she asked him softly, almost in a whisper as her blush deepened.
