Kate continued, "Brother Xie Yuansheng and you are simply not compatible. The way you are talking to him merely feels that you are making him work for you because you have so much money. Basically you are using your money as a trick so that he stays glued to you. But let me also tell you, Sister Feng Xinying that these tricks won't last long."

Feng Xinying looked at Kate with a stunned expression, "Kate, I have to give you this – your imagination is just too wild. Actually it has gone far beyond your age and it is a pity that you are thinking so much. Stop hurting your brain over it. I don't need to trick anyone." She scoffed and started eating her breakfast feeling horrible inside.

Kate also resumed eating and said, "Obviously you will never admit to all what I have said, but it is the truth. Brother Xie Yuansheng is way happier with me than you. You should have seen us together at the gaming arena and then at the Entertainment Park. People could say that we are a couple."

Feng Xinying didn't stop eating. She took a bit of noodles and replied, "I don't care what others thought about the two of you or what you think of me. Xie Yuansheng is my husband and the Young Master of this family. Also once I step out with him in the public, people would only appreciate me because they know who the legitimate wife of Xie Yuansheng is. If he will go out with you in a romantic way, they would only think of you as his mistress."

Kate froze and stopped eating. She had never thought of it like that. She looked at Feng Xinying with disdain. She was seething that how easily Feng Xinying insulted her. She had come to meet Xie Yuansheng and when she saw Feng Xinying with him, she was so envious that she wanted to insult her, however the opposite happened.

Even though she was fuming inside, she stayed quiet because she wanted to be with Xie Yuansheng.

Xie Yuansheng came out of the kitchen and this time he sat down with them to have breakfast. He looked at Feng xinying and said, "You look so pale Miss Xinying, please eat more chicken soup." He served her some.

Feng Xinying smiled and said, "Thank you, Xie Yuansheng."

'Miss Xinying!' Why was he calling her Miss Xinying, though Kate? She thought that perhaps he was putting up with her in front of me and serving her with kindness because he was actually afraid of her. That thought rekindled her hope.

"Brother Xie Yuansheng, won't you serve me anything?" she asked looking at him with puppy eyes.

Xie Yuansheng looked at her stiffly and said, "Yes, sure." Instead of serving her, he handed her the soup bowl.

"Thank you," she chirped. She had a spoonful and said, "Mmm, this is so good, Brother Xie Yuansheng! You are an excellent cook."

Xie Yuansheng once again smiled.

They all had breakfast at the table and there was an awkward silence. In was after five minutes that Kate spoke up again. "Tomorrow I am giving a small party to all my friends to celebrate my admission in the University in America. Brother Xie Yuansheng, I wanted to invite you as you are now my newfound fast-friend. My friends would love to see you."

Xie Yuansheng stared at her. He didn't know whether to say yes or no. On one hand she was Keira's sister and Feng Xinying was very fond of Keira. On the other hand, Kate had been very sweet with him. She had helped him out and also spent a lot of time with him. He felt obligated. He was about to say something when, Feng Xinying interrupted, "That is a very nice news Kate. I am sure your parents and Keira must be very happy to hear it?"

Kate was surprised at this intervention. Why had Feng Xinying interrupted her? She looked at her with disdain and in order to quickly dispel her, she gave a small answer "Yes," and started looking at Xie Yuansheng with anticipation.

When Xie Yuansheng was about to open his mouth to say something again, Feng Xinying interrupted yet again, "Why don't we have a small celebration for you at the Feng Mansion? I am going to make sure that you are given a nice party. Consider this as a gift from my side. After all Keira is my best friend and I can do this much for you." Feng Xinying was smiling now.

Kate cringed when she saw her smiling. She stuttered, "No- b- but- I can't possibly call them here…"

Xie Yuansheng's lips curved up. He nodded like a bobble head and said, "That is a fantastic idea Feng Xinying! What a lovely gesture." Then he looked at Kate and said, "Kate, let us give a party for you. You can all your friends here," continued Xie Yuansheng as he ate a piece of bread.

Kate was flabbergasted for a moment. Some time back she was insulted by Feng Xinying and now this woman wanted to give a party for her. Was she having some trick up her hands or was she genuinely saying that? She stared at Feng Xinying but she was looking so innocent with those pretty eyes that anyone's heart would melt. She found Xie Yuansheng staring at Feng Xinying as though he was lost in her completely. In order to sound nice in front of Xie Yuansheng, she coughed and said, "But Sister Feng Xinying I don't want to burden you. I am pretty capable of giving a small party to my friends. I just wanted Brother Xie Yuansheng to come and join us. Moreover he loved an outing yesterday."

Feng Xinying shrugged and said, "Your wish…" and continued to eat.

"Phew," said Kate in a low tone and continued to eat her food. She just didn't want Feng Xinying to be a part of the celebration. The problem was so simply solved.

"No! I think Feng Xinying has given a wonderful idea. We should give party to Kate's friends here in Feng Mansion," insisted the Chef Shengu. "As a matter of fact, I will join you only if we give the party here, Kate!"

"B- Brother Xie Yuansheng?" She couldn't take another bite. She looked at how determined he was.
