Xie Yuansheng waited outside the operation theater with bated breath. There was Wu Bosun, Lu Dao and a few other members of the film crew along with him who were also very worried about the incident. Lu Dao was extremely tensed. He was not afraid of the fact that his lead actress was injured by an unknown assailant, he was fearful of the fact as to what would Xie Yuansheng do to him. Would he sue him for not keeping proper safety or would he kill him?

Xie Yuansheng had already informed Xie Shengjun who had sent his men to the jungle to scan the surrounding area. Xie Shengjun had rushed to the hospital and hadn't said anything to Keira.

Sitting on a chair outside the operation theater, Xie Yuansheng thought that just in the morning they were talking about his birthday. They were so happy. She was making so many plans and this accident happened in the afternoon. What was this turn of events? How many tests were god taking?

His insides were a mess, his heart was exploding with anxiety and pain, yet on the outside his face was as cold as a sheet of ice. He wanted to cry but he had controlled himself. He didn't want anyone to see his emotions.

Xie Shengjun arrived an hour later. Feng Xinying was being rolled out of the theater at that time. Xie Yuansheng followed her to the post-operative ward where he wasn't allowed to go inside. He asked the doctor, "How is she doing now?"

"There has been a lot of blood loss. Although the wound is not deep, we have stitched the area. It was a sharp four inch cut," replied the doctor.

"Will she recover?" he asked with closed fists. Everyone else had gathered around him.

"Of course, she will recover. However, it is possible that she may not be able to use her left arm for sometime properly. Those muscles that have been slashed need to grow nicely. I would request you not to make her do any job with that arm until she has recovered," the doctor advised.

"In how much time would she properly recover?" asked Lu Dao.

"At least two weeks, and after that lots of physiotherapy."

"Will a scar be formed?" asked Xie Yuansheng.

"Umm… yes, there will be a scar because we have stitched the area but I am not worried about the scar. I am worried that her upper arm starts functioning nicely again. Once the healing takes pace, you can get plastic surgery to hide that scar," the doctor answered and left them all.

Xie Yuansheng was hardly bothered about the scar but he knew that being a model, Feng Xinying valued her body and she might get traumatized by the scar. At the moment, he prayed to the deities that she recovered as soon as possible. He clenched his fists tighter and his knuckles turned white.

Xie Shengjun held his brother's shoulder from behind. Xie Yuansheng turned and tightly clutched his brother. "Calm down, she is going to be fine," he assured her. He knew that Xie Yuansheng would never leave the person who was responsible for this. He would hunt him or her down from the gutters of hell.

Feng Xinying was given anesthesia for the operation. She came to her senses after a few hours. She saw that she was in a ward with other patients who were either sleeping or silently awake with lots of tubes running out of their system. She turned around to see what had happened to her and noticed that a tube was running out of her hand. She tried to get up, but a nurse came running to her and said, "Miss Xinying, please keep still. Nice to see that you are awake. I will send the call the doctor now."

The nurse informed the doctor who rushed to her and then she also informed Xie Yuansheng who was sitting outside all the time. "Your wife is awake now."

He smiled at her and looked at Lu Boyun who was also standing with his master. It was already evening and everyone had left already. Lu Dao, Wu Bosun and every crew member had been very worried but how long could they waited.

The doctor came out after checking her vital statistics and said, "We will be shifting her to the private ward after another few hours once her stats stabilize. If you like we can transfer her to the city's best hospital after that."

Xie Yuansheng was allowed to meet Feng Xinying only for a brief moment. He went inside with a very brave face but when he saw her surrounded by so many tubes all around her, his courage left him. He went to her, squeezed her hand and tears started flowing out of his eyes. She looked pale but she brought said, "Shengu…"

He came closer to her and kissed her on her cheeks. "Yes darling?"

"Will I become okay by your birthday?"

"Hmm… you will. I won't allow you to stay in the hospital for my birthday," he said nodding his head. "Now don't talk."

"What about the movie schedule?"

"They will be using a double for fight scenes. They have shot your movements and face scenes so closely that they are saying that it was enough for the entire fight sequence. Your presence won't be required as the editor is going to do his job appropriately," he replied.

Feng Xinying took her fingers to his face and wiped his tears. "It is nothing at all. I will be fine soon. If you will cry, I will also feel nervous."

Xie Yuansheng looked at the way his wife assured him. He smiled and said, "Okay." He stopped crying.

The next day Feng Xinying was moved to the city's best hospital and into a VVIP room. Xie Yuansheng had taken indefinite leave from the office and stayed with her. Her wound was fresh and she needed a lot of help. The doctors were standing by twenty-four seven as they were worried that she doesn't catch infection. Xie Yuansheng would work from the hospital only. He had cancelled all the meetings until further notice.

Xie Shengjun had left and was fully immersed into searching for the crew member who had done this. The problem was that it wasn't the crew member. It was someone else. They had found the sword that was used to attack Feng Xinying and it was sent to the expert to know about its origins and who had bought it from the market.

It was after three days that Keira came to know about Feng Xinying. First she scolded Xie Shengjun, who had become used to her emotional outbursts ever since she had become pregnant, and then she scolded Xie Yuansheng for not telling her a word about it. She rushed to the hospital the moment she heard and as soon as she saw Feng Xinying, she hugged her tightly. "Xinying, these brothers didn't tell me anything. I came to know today. I swear they are good for nothing." She was fuming with anger. Xie Yuansheng left the room quietly. Feng Xinying laughed at her friend and then they talked for a long time after that.

It was on the fourth day that they found out as to who had bought the sword. They hunted for buyer but that man had left the city already. Xie Yuansheng came to know the man who attacked Feng Xinying but he was a small time goon. Obviously there was someone who had hired him for the job and it was that person that he was after.

His men had followed him to his hideout.

Xie Yuansheng was walking outside the room while the nurses were changing her dressing, when his phone flashed with a message. It was a picture.
