After parking the car in the parking area of the studio, Xie Yuansheng ran to the movie sets from where the music was coming. But what he saw on the way shocked him beyond words. 

Just as he was about to enter the sets to go to the visitors' gallery, he saw that behind the curtains, there was an old woman who was tampering the ropes in front of her. He went closer to see what she was doing and to his horror, she had already cut the rope in a way that it was barely hanging on thin strands. He was shocked and he shouted, "Hey!" but the woman didn't listen. The music that was coming out was so loud that she couldn't have listened to him. he was rooted to the ground. From where she was, with such loud music and the dance going on, even if he would have shouted at the top of his lungs, the damage would have been done. 

So weighing the situation, Xie Yuansheng, instead ran inside at top speed to warn Feng Xinying. However it was too late. When he went inside, he saw that the junior artists were swinging her. He ran to stop them, but none of them noticed him. Only the cameraman and director Lu Dao noticed him. He started shouting "Cut, cut" but the cameraman became confused. He had to capture that scene with precision.

Xie Yuansheng ran in front of them right at the time to catch her when she was thrown in front. And at the moment the sound of "Twang" came and the entire rope fell on the ground with rapid speed as both Xie Yuansheng and Feng Xinying fell on the floor. Because of the momentum, Xie Yuansheng stumbled back a few feet back and fell on the ground with Feng Xinying protected in his arms. Both of them were on the ground. Everyone gasped. There was a silence amongst all those present over there at this horrific site. 

Feng Xinying was so horrified at what happened that she looked down at the person who had saved her. Everything happened in a matter of seconds. She looked down and saw Xie Yuansheng who had fainted due to the impact and mental trauma.

Feng Xinying got up from him. She was feeling dizzy too. "Xie Yuansheng, Xie Yuansheng." She held his face to shake it, "Wake up…"

Everyone around rushed to their side. She could hear people. However, she felt so weak that within seconds she also fainted right beside him. After that she didn't know what happened. Everything was blank. She had fainted right beside him holding his hand, scared that she might lose him. 

When she opened her eyes, she saw dim lights beside her bed. Rest of the room was in darkness. Perhaps she was in the hospital. Her head was still dizzy. It was extremely quiet. She saw the clock in front of her and it was past midnight. She was surprised as to how long had she passed out. She turned her head to see if anyone else was there around and to her surprise, she found Xie Yuansheng lying on a bed a few feet away. Immediately, she removed the sheet over here and rushed to his side. 

She found him sleeping on his stomach. There were tubes running out of his body. She was horrified as her tears ran through her eyes. She touched his cheek and stroked it. She saw that he was in deep sleep. 

Xie Shengjun had been in the room ever since he had heard about the incident. He was so worried about his brother and Feng Xinying that he couldn't leave their side even for a minute. The doctors had told him that Xie Yuansheng had suffered minor spinal injuries and mental trauma apart from bruises on the back. He had already sent his men on those behind it. 

When Feng Xinying went to him, she started crying. Xie Shengjun, who was sleeping on a chair, heard her and woke up. He walked to her side. "Xinying, you must sleep and take more rest."

Feng Xinying looked at him and asked with tears running down her cheeks, "Is he going to be okay? How much has he injured?"

"Yes, don't worry. He has sustained minor injuries in his spine and needs a week's rest. He will become better soon. It's just that he is not allowed to leave his bed for three days till his spinal injuries are cured."

Feng Xinying pursed her lips. "Why did you come to catch me?" she asked him mentally. "When will he wake up?" she asked Xie Shengjun. 

"Right now he is under sedatives effect. He should wake up soon." 

Feng Xinying nodded as she wiped her tears. Xie Shengjun gave her his hanky. 

"How did the ropes break?" 

"I have sent my men to investigate…"

Feng Xinying nodded again and didn't ask further questions. She pulled a chair and sat next to his bed holding his hand. Xie Shengjun urged her to go back and rest but she said that she wouldn't. She also told him to go back. He looked like a mess. He smiled and then left the couple. 

She didn't know when she had dozed off.

In the night after Xie Shengjun had left, Xie Yuansheng woke up an hour later only to find Feng Xinying sleeping next to him on the chair. Since it was a VIP room, the bed was spacious enough to accommodate two people but she hadn't come there. He thought that he was dreaming. He looked at her beautiful face. He remembered how he had passed out after rescuing her. He stroked her hair softly and then ran his fingers over her cheek. He couldn't believe that after Chang Ling's episode, she would talk to him. He wanted to savor that moment, scared that she would leave the moment she opened her eyes. He traced her lips and thanked god that she was safe. He stared at her for a long time and the morning sun rays entered the room they fell on her lovely face. 

Feng Xinying fluttered opened her eyes. Immediately he closed his eyes. 

She saw Xie Yuansheng sleeping in that same position.
