Overnight the entire party became a sort of sensation. There were various types of comments:

"The young artists go to such lengths to prove themselves."

"But this was so risky. Lu Dao shouldn't have allowed."

"Feng Xinying is such a dedicated girl."

"Lu Dao has got a gem."

"Wu Bosun will get someone of his caliber to work with."

There were thousands of congratulatory messages on social media. It was a huge thing and the movie gained popularity even though its filming hadn't started.

Ru Shishi was a bag of bitterness. She didn't know as to how the hell did Feng Xinying survive. All her dreams of acting in the movie were flushed down the toilet. Ru Shishi wanted to leave the party because looking at Feng Xinying was a torture and she was also afraid that someone might start investigating the issue privately, but Wu Bosun wouldn't budge from there. He was relieved that Feng Xinying was absolutely fine. Lu Dao had told him that this was actually an accident and not a stunt.

Feng Xinying was so shaken by the incident that although she wasn't showing it on the façade, she was shaking inside. She wouldn't let Xie Yuansheng go anywhere. Finally they left just after dinner. In the car, she crawled up and sat in his lap as he circled his arms around her. "I am sorry Xie Yuansheng…" she whispered in his ears.

"What for Xinying?" he asked tenderly.

"For suspecting you…"

He patted her back and said, "That's okay… anyone would have in that situation…"

"But where were you and how did you manage to save me?" she asked raising her head and looking in his eyes.

"Yesterday the venue of my meeting was the conference hall at the Hotel Red Dragon. It was during lunch when I noticed Ru Shishi on the rooftop garden. The specialty about the rooftop garden of this hotel is that it can be seen from all the rooms. The conference hall is located on the seventh floor and directly opposite the rooftop garden. My suspicions rose when I saw her over there. I wanted to go and investigate what was she up to, but I couldn't as the meeting was at an extremely important juncture. It was only today in the evening at 6PM that I could find time to go and investigate the venue. The venue was all ready and there were last minute preparations going on.

"I took my security with me. These people are very up-to-date with the technology. Upon inspection, they found two irregularities – one that the podium was flimsy and the other that the glass railing had loose nuts. They reported it to me. I asked them to send a message to the hotel staff. The hotel manager was angry and dismissed him by saying that we are trying to sabotage their reputation."

Feng Xinying listened to him with wide eyes. "Xie Yuansheng, do you think that Ru Shishi is behind all this?"

"It is possible…"

"Then what happened?" she asked.

"Then the first thing I did was to rent the room just beneath the podium. My security people arranged for some strong ropes and equipment. I was ready to jump the moment something happened to you."

Feng Xinying looked at him with fear in her eyes, "What if I would have touched the ground? And what if you weren't able to catch me? How long were you planning to wait?"

"Do you think that was possible? I was there standing on the window to leap and catch you. Everything was coordinated Xingying."

She rested her face in the crook of his neck. "Yuansheng, I love you…"

Xie Yuansheng kissed her forehead. No one can take you away from me, even God, he thought and tightened his hold over her.

Meanwhile a car was speeding down the rough roads of a village.
