Feng Xinying cut the cake and she gave a piece, each to Wu Bosun and Lu Dao. Once again the cameras flashed.

A few days back, Wu Bosun had approached Lu Dao with his portfolio. He was serious about getting a role in the movie. He had come for the audition, which was not normal for a star like him because after acting in so many movies, people already knew how he worked but he proved himself to be worthy of the role by showing how he is the best fit.

He had got a photo shoot, dressed like medieval era king and had posted those photos on various public accounts. The public went crazy. All his fans started saying that they would love to see their idol. When Lu Dao saw the photos, he called him for the audition.

So when Wu Bosun was invited for the launch party, he had an inkling that he might be selected for the movie. He had worked hard for the role only to work with Feng Xinying, and this despite the fact that he was doing three movies at that time. To work along with Feng Xinying was like a dream come true.

After cutting the cake, Feng Xinying gave him the cake and he broke a piece from the same cake and offered her to eat, taking it directly to her mouth. Looking at all the people in front of her, Feng Xinying opened her mouth to eat it even though she didn't want to eat it.

The wooden floor of the podium creaked a little more.

Ru Shishi had to get Wu Bosun and Lu Dao out of there. She was scared that he might get hurt. She never anticipated that Wu Bosun would be announced as the male lead. She also never anticipated that they would be cutting a cake for the launch on the podium.

From the corner of her eye she noticed a waiter carrying a tray with champagne glasses walking towards the podium. That was her chance. She waited for him to come near her and as soon as he came near her, she turned around and stood in front of him. Entire thing happened within a few seconds and the surprised waiter lost his control crashing onto her. The tray in his hand hurtled onto the ground. Some champagne fell on Ru Shishi also, who had also fallen on the ground due to the heavy impact.

She shouted in pain, "Aaaa". The waiter profusely started apologizing, "Sorry miss. I didn't see you." He bent down and immediately started collecting the glass pieces that were shattered. All other waiters came running to help him.

People rushed to Ru Shishi's side as they scolded the waiter. Wu Bosun who saw that Ru Shishi was now holding her leg, went to her soon. As he left her and walked out of the podium, the wooden board beneath bent a little more making the place where Feng Xinying was standing slant. Feng Xinying could feel something was wrong. Before she could react, even Lu Dao rushed to Ru Shishi fearing that it would be a negative impact on the media.

"Are you okay, Ru Shishi?" he asked as she was still sitting on the floor holding her leg.

She scrunched her face in pain and said, "Yes, I am fine…"

When Lu Dao walked out of the podium, the loose nuts got out of their place because of the intense movement and the wooden board sunk. Feng Xinying lost her balance and she fell backwards.

A man standing nearby heard a loud crash. He shouted "Feng Xinying!" But by that time, Feng Xinying had fallen over out of the podium on the glass railing, which was right behind the podium. Due to the force with which she fell on the glass railing, the loose nuts in it gave way. Feng Xinying tumbled off the glass railing.
