Feng Xinying walked in with Xie Yuansheng in the party venue, the rooftop garden of the Hotel Red Dragon. Immediately there were cameras flashing at the two of them. They both looked beautiful together. Both of them had to pose for a long time before the media people let them go forward. The party was in its full swing.

Ru Shishi was standing with Wu Bosun who was as usual surrounded with many people. She was sipping wine when she noticed the couple. Feeling jealous, she glared at the two of them. "Wait Xingying. After today, you will be gone forever."

Lu Dao was standing somewhere far. However as soon as he noticed them, he rushed towards them to receive them. "Welcome Feng Xinying. You are the star of the night! Come, I have to make you meet so many people." Lu Dao took her to meet all those who were important for the movie, the producers, his assistant director, the lead cameraman, and editors amongst the others. All of them were impressed by her looks and talked to her politely. They asked her various questions, which she answered very graciously.

After the formal introductions, Lu Dao picked up the mic and brought up the attention of people. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for coming over and being able to make for the party. I would like you all to meet the heroine of my movie, The Golden Flower, Miss Feng Xinying." He signaled Feng Xinying to come over to him.

Feng Xinying looked back to smile at Xie Yuansheng, but to her surprise he had again disappeared. She pursed her lips and went to Lu Dao. Everybody watched her walking to him. They clapped as soon as she was there.

"You all know who is the heroine, but do you know who is the main male lead?" asked Lu Dao with a chuckle.

Immediately everyone became intrigued because Lu Dao hadn't announced the male lead and because of which many actors had come over to the party only to influence him to get the role.

Lu Dau continued, "Yes, we have been keeping it under wraps. I went through a lot of auditions for the actor as well as the actress and finally I found both of them. Though I found my actress with some luck." He started laughing and so did others, as Feng Xinying blushed slightly. "But for the male lead, there was a lot of choices and I have zeroed in on none other than Mr. Wu Bosun! I have worked with him earlier and I think he would best fit the role."

Feng Xinying's eyes became wide. Wu Bosun! She was just not expecting him! All of a sudden she felt like getting out of the movie. She frantically looked around for Xie Yuansheng, and saw him standing far away in a corner near the lift.

Ru Shishi was shocked when she heard that Wu Bosun would be playing the male lead's role. She looked at him as he walked to where Lu Dao and Feng Xinying were standing. Amidst the claps, the three of them walked to the podium. Ru Shishi wanted to rush after him but she restrained. It would be a disaster if something happened to him. Her face became pale when she realized what had she done. All her excitement regarding what would happen to Feng Xinying was marred by the fact that Wu Bosun accompanied them.She had to do something to get him out of the podium.

The three of them stood on the podium. The hotel staff brought a cake in a trolley. He started walking towards the podium with the trolley as everyone clapped. Ru Shishi also started walking with him while clapping.

The cake was set up on a small table on the podium. Lu Dao and Wu Bosun stood on the sides of the table while Feng Xinying stood behind the table. The knife was given to her to cut the cake. As soon as she had cut the cake, the cameras flashed yet again and people around cheered.

The wooden board beneath her creaked.
