Lu Dao was at his wits end when he heard Feng Xinying. He was so stunned that he forgot how to talk.

Not hearing a word from him, Feng Xinying also became quiet. Perhaps, he didn't want to talk to her. She became sad. She gathered her courage again and said, "Is that Lu Dao?..."

Lu Dao found the words that had got choked in the base of his throat. "H- hello Feng Xinying, good morning…" His mind was racing like a racehorse. Why was Feng Xinying calling him?

"Lu Dao, how are you?"

"I am good, Miss Xinying." He wanted to cut the chase and say please come for the auditions.

"Are you still conducting audition?" she asked.

Lu Dao jumped from his chair. Everyone around him saw that he had become extremely excited. He pushed the chair behind with so much force that it fell back. "Yes, yes I am. As a matter of fact I am still conducting them. Please can you come over?" He couldn't believe his luck. He wanted to kiss the feet of the first person he had seen that day.

Feng Xinying smiled. She jumped in her place in glee but stopped herself from shrieking like a child. Xie Yuansheng noticed her excitement and understood that Lu Dao was still looking for lead actress.

"Yes, I can come," she replied as calmly as possible.

"Then, you better come now because only three more are left for auditions and then I will close it," Lu Dao coaxed her.

"Okay, please send me your location address. I will reach there as soon as possible."

"Lu Dao is still looking for an actress!" said Feng Xinying disconnecting her phone. She clapped her hands and ran to Xie Yuansheng to hug him.

"Well, you better face the camera nicely, Xinying," said Xie Yuansheng as he balanced himself when she threw herself on him. He picked her up holding her waist and she rested her face in the crook of his neck breathing heaving with excitement.

"Of course I will. I have full confidence in myself," she replied kissing his neck.

Then she lowered her voice and said, "I am scared of one thing."

"What is it?" he asked as he walked holding her to the main door.

"I will be working with male actors. You won't feel bad?"

"I will be jealous, and I can't help that but I trust my wife more than anything else. Plus everyone already knows that we are in a relationship, so they won't try to come near you," he replied nonchalantly as though Feng Xinying was his and anyone wouldn't even dare to come near her.

They reached the porch and waited for the car.

Feng Xinying laughed at his statement. "Xie Yuansheng, why do I feel that you are going to be one messy boy?"

The car came and Xie Yuansheng put her down. He kissed her forehead and said, "Because I might choose to be. No one messes with me or my love interest."

He opened the door of the car for her to sit. She sat inside and he said, "Now go and get that role. Come to the office after that. I want to hear everything."

"Won't you be joining me?" she asked feeling sad.

"No darling. I have lots of work to do. There is a large conglomerate waiting for me."

Feng Xinying chuckled and the car left.

Xie Yuansheng called the police station.

When Feng Xinying reached the audition center, she saw that there was some commotion going on. She went inside the hall where the auditions were taking place. She was shocked to see that Ru Shishi was also standing there. She was fighting with Lu Dao and speaking on top of her voice.

"Lu Dao, this is not done! You called me for the auditions saying that you are giving me the role for the movie and now you say that you want to give this role to someone else. Who is this that you want to give the role to? Is she prettier than me? Or has she promised to warm your bed?"

Lu Dao was appalled. "Ru Shishi, had it not been for Wu Bosun, I would have thrown a girl like you outside of this place now!"

Feng Xinying walked towards them with a lot of apprehension. It was because of Ru Shishi that Xei Weihui had left the house and now she was here creating so much chaos. Why was God choosing this day for her to encounter so much of Ru Shishi various sides?

Lu Dao looked up and left Ru Shishi to got to her. "Feng Xinying, thanks for making for the auditions." He handed her a small paper with script and said, "You have to speak those lines in front of the camera."

Ru Shishi was watching all this from behind. She spat, "Oh! So it is Feng Xinying yet again! The bitch who loves to snatch things from others. You are going to give her the role?"

"Watch your words Ru Shishi," said Feng Xinying with blazing eyes.

Ru Shishi narrowed her eyes and came to the two of them. She spoke in an accusatory tone, "Should I assume that it is your powerful boyfriend who has backed you and that is why Lu Dao is so afraid of taking anyone else in the movie?"

Lu Dao shouted at her, "You are out of your mind Ru Shishi!". "Xie Yuansheng doesn't have any connection with the film industry. It was me who goaded her to join the movie as a lead actress and I had asked her much before you had even come to the town." He paused and added, "On the contrary it is you who is using Wu Bosun's connections."

Ignoring him, Ru Shishi sniggered. "It seems that Xie Yuansheng is now using his girlfriend to get into the movie industry. Well, that's a nice way to get fame soon and of course all the good-looking girls," Ru Shishi started laughing. "All the so-called CEOs are the same," she mocked looking at her nails.

"You are going out of line Ru Shishi," Feng Xinying said clenching her fist in anger.

"If that is the case, then why don't we compete? I throw a challenge at you that I am far better than you are!" spat Ru Shishi.

"I accept the challenge."
