The way everything was taken care of so smoothly surprised Feng Xinying. She really marveled Xie Yuansheng's capabilities and thought that he is perhaps way too good and her suspicions regarding his ability to be the company CEO were baseless.

That day she went home with him holding his arms in the car.

"It seems my contract wife is falling in love with me," he teased her.

Feng Xinying pursed her lips with the mention of the word "contract". "It seems that my contract husband doesn't like it." She replied with a raised eyebrow removing her hand from his arms.

Xie Yuansheng became alert. He held her hands and wrapped them around his arms again. "No darling, I love it!"

"Ah!" she replied and removed her arms again. Her anger wasn't settling but she was very calm from the outside.

Xie Yuansheng pursed his lips again and smacked his head. He told his driver to go to the Diamond Mall.

"Why are we taking a detour?" asked Feng Xinying peeved at him.

Xie Yuansheng wondered if this was the lull before the storm. He had to carefully handle her. "I had ordered something and I received the call that it has been created. So I am going to pick it up."

"Okay," she said and started looking outside. She thought that perhaps he was still not happy with her that is why he was mentioning the word "contract". Did he have someone else in mind? The very thought of "someone else" peeved her and throughout the journey to the mall, she kept looking outside the car.

When they reached, Xie Yuansheng got down from the car. "Come with me Xinying."

"No."

"Don't you want to see what I ordered?"

"No."

Xie Yuansheng sighed and went inside. He went to the shop and came out with a cute gift bag after paying five million Yuan. As soon as he sat in the car, he gave the bag to Feng Xinying. "This is for you," he said affectionately as though he was gifting her his heart.

Feng Xinying said, "A gift for your contract wife? Don't you think it is a bit too much? After all we less than two more months to go?"

When they reached home, Feng Xinying ran to her bedroom. Xie Yuansheng followed her but she had shut the door on his face as soon as he was about to enter.

He was shocked. He knocked on the door and shouted, "Feng Xinying?" But there was no answer. He became dejected at the way she behaved. She was kissing him in the car and here she shut the door on his face. He went to his bedroom and was feeling depressed as to why did he even mention the word "contract". He went to take bath feeling droopy. He came out soon after and headed for the closet to change into pajamas when he heard a knock on the connecting door to Feng Xinying's room. Before he could open the door, the doorknob turned and the door opened. He saw Feng Xinying standing there.
