Feng Xinying felt as though her temper would hit the ceiling. She blew hot air out of her mouth to blow a bang that had fallen on her face. With her hands on her waist, she walked to the new room that had been arranged for her.
When she reached inside, she saw that it was decorated so tastefully that even she couldn't do it herself. There was a large bed right in the center of the room with white net curtains hanging around it. An oval dressing table was kept in the corner, the mirror, of which, was framed by exquisite rosewood imported from Thailand. She could see that most of the wooden furniture was imported from Thailand, and it surely looked elegant. She actually liked it more than her old bedroom décor.
Pondering and looking around, she stepped into the room as the butler left. She looked around at the artifacts. On one side of the room, there was a walk in closet, which led to a spacious bathroom. She had been to that part of the house, but it seemed that it had been renovated. Overall, it was looking classic – better than what it was originally.
She went to open the curtains of the window and found a door hidden behind them. The door opened to a porch that was lined with flowerpots. There were two rows of rose flowerpots. The one in front had a line of red roses while the one just behind it was yellow. It looked so beautiful that she went near them to inhale the fragrance. Her mood lifted for the first time in the day.
Languidly, she ambled into the room and sat on the soft mattress. As she was feeling the material of the bedspread with her hands, from the corner of her eye, she noticed a small door. She wondered where that door opened. She went to open it and found that it didn't have a lock. She pressed the handle to open it, and to her surprise, she saw that it opened to another bedroom that had a black and white theme. It seemed as if it was that of a man's.

She entered inside and found a photograph of Xie Yuansheng. She closed her mouth with her hands and ran back to her bedroom. The bastard had made her shift right next to his room, and that also with a door that didn't have a lock. She gritted her teeth as her mood spoiled again.
It was afternoon, and the butler called her for lunch. With a frown and a sulky look, she went downstairs to eat food. At the dining table, she found Xie Weihui sitting and waiting for her. Feng Xinying looked at her with anger and sat down at the opposite end.
The mother and son were surely cooking up some scheme to take all the property, she thought. "But I am Feng Xinying! I will not let this happen!" Thinking that, she dug the fork into the plain rice that was served to her.
They had lunch in silence with Feng Xinying determined not to speak a word to the woman in front of her. Once the lunch was over, she wiped her hands on the napkin and left. She went to her new bedroom and crashed onto the bed. From tomorrow onward, she had to start a new life as his secretary. She wondered how easy a job of a secretary would be. What the hell did he think she was? She was an ace student in her school. She would prove to him that she was much better than the job he had assigned to her and would ask him to promote her to a senior position that was more suitable for her.
She slept away, not realizing the time. When she woke up, it was late in the evening. The butler brought her tea, and she stepped out onto the balcony to sit and enjoy her tea there. She was checking her phone when it started ringing. A familiar number flashed across the screen, and she smiled.

"Keira, how are you? I am so happy to hear from you!"
"Feng Xinying, I will be coming to Beijing tomorrow," said Keira gleefully. "I have taken a month's leave from the company, and all your modeling assignments have been cancelled."
"That's great news, Keira. You are such a darling," said Feng Xinying, thanking her stars to have a great friend and manager like Keira. "When are you coming here? Let me know so that I can make arrangements for your stay."
"I will be flying the day after, so I will reach there by Friday," she replied.
Feng Xinying let out a small laugh and became excited. "Okay Keira, I will come to receive you at the airport. Just text me your itinerary details."
