Feng Xinying was surprised but was immensely pleased that he would finally leave the position. She was going to accept whatever he would ask of her and then get rid of him. She smiled, picked her tea and said, "Tell me." She waited for him to speak about his offer.

Xie Yuansheng got up from his sofa and went to his table from where he picked a folder, which contained some documents. He sat down in front of her and said, "Open the documents and read them."

Feng Xinying couldn't stop smiling at her anticipated victory. She pushed the teacup to the side and picked up the folder. Carefully and playfully, she opened the folder to extract the documents. As soon as she opened the first page, there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" said Xie Yuansheng loudly, annoyed that someone disturbed them at this point of time.

Yun Chen emerged from behind the door and said, "CEO, you have a meeting in another ten minutes."

Yun Chen trotted towards him in her high heels, giving angry glares to Feng Xinying. She handed him a thick file and said, "These are the necessary papers for the meeting."

Xie Yuansheng took the file from her and threw it near him on the sofa. He said, "Cancel the meeting, as I am busy with the young miss here."

"B-but CEO, these people have come all the way from Chengdu to meet you. They will be leaving in another five hours," said Yun Chen, extremely surprised by the woman in front of her. Who was she that the CEO was giving her so much importance?

Xie Yuansheng shot an angry glance at her and said, "Since when do I have to answer to my secretaries about what I have to do and what I don't have to do?"

Yun Chen flinched and left the place after bowing to him.

Feng Xinying was looking at the scene taking place in front of her. She smiled as Yun Chen left then opened the folder with her slender fingers.

When she saw what was inside, her eyes became wide, and a bead of sweat appeared on her forehead. She turned a few more pages then closed the folder with a snap. Her face turned red with fury, and she said, "What is this nonsense, Xie Yuansheng?"

"This is no nonsense. If you agree to all the terms that are present in that document, the company will be yours," he replied coolly.

"Do you even know what you are saying? Do you know who I am?" she snapped.

"Of course I do, Feng Xinying, and that is one of the reasons why I am even offering you this proposal," he replied as his lips curved.

"I will never accept this stupid stuff," she said, thumping her hand on the table.

"Your wish," he said with a shrug. "Because if you won't, then you will lose your only chance of acquiring that position.

Feng Xinying was irritated beyond words. She had come here with a new offer, feeling so confident that she was buoying. But when she saw the proposal in front of her, her confidence was deflated like a balloon that had been pricked with a needle.

She collected her purse and said, "This is utter nonsense, Xie Yuansheng! You have crossed your limits. Do you think that I will accept these terms and conditions? You must be out of your mind. I am Feng Xinying. Are you taking revenge of the fact that I was a better student than you were back in school?"

Xie Yuansheng looked at her with a cold expression. He said, "Take it or leave it. If you will accept it, I will consider; however, if you reject it, I won't come back to you again, and this document will be fed to the shredder."

Feng Xinying had started rising from her seat when he said that. She sat back down and looked at him as if he was some lunatic. "Xie Yuansheng, what you are asking for is stupid. What will people say about it? I will become a laughing stock in the community. Do you think I will fall so disgracefully?"

Xie Yuansheng leaned forward until their faces were just a few inches away from each other and said, "This is the only way I will consider it. And this is the last time I am telling you." There was so much ruthlessness in his gaze that Feng Xinying shuddered a little. If this was true, then this was the only chance she had. She felt so pressurized and stifled that in a moment of impulsiveness, she said, "Where do I have to sign?"

Xie Yuansheng smiled and opened the pages of the marriage contract.
