Xie Yuansheng! That name ringed a bell. Feng Xinying eyes became wide. He was the same boy who had got the school's prestigious award that night and the reason why she had been so upset. She hated him!
She turned her eyes towards the man who was a stranger to her - Xie Yuansheng!
Feng Xinying stood up with a jolt and hissed, "What nonsense? I am the legal heir and I will run the company. I will be the CEO."
The lawyer cringed.
"Have you read the papers properly Yang Fulai?" she roared.
"Yes, young miss. I have. If you want you can take a look at these papers yourself," he said handing the papers to her.
She read them, re-read them but the words were the same - Xie Yuansheng was to continue as the CEO of the company. She threw the papers and said, "Is this some kind of a joke?" Then she looked at Xie Yuansheng, who appeared cold as usual and had a blank expression on his face. "What did you do to my father that he had made you the CEO? Did you drug him when he signed those legal papers?" she asked venom dripping from her tongue.
Xie Yuansheng did not utter a word. Even her stepmother stayed silent.
Lawyer Yang Fulai answered, "No young miss. These papers were sealed and only two people were aware of its contents – your father and me. I had signed as a witness."
"When were these papers made?" she asked doubting the lawyer.
"They were written and stamped by the court two years back," he replied showing her the date on the papers.
"Feng Xinying, please sit down and let's talk," requested Xie Weihui.
She looked at Xie Weihui and then at Xie Yuansheng. The realization dawned upon her heavily. They were mother and son! So father really hated her to the extent that he could give his company to her son and not to his own daughter?

Feng Xinying shot an angry glance at her and stomped out of the room. Her father had once again proved that he really didn't trust her. She was hurt, and her heart ached but it was out of anger. She felt like going back to America where she was already an established model. How could her father again favor someone else other than her? She had thought that she is going to oust her stepmother, but instead she herself was ousted from the company. What kind of a cruel joke was this?
She ran upstairs to her room. How dare her rightful place gets stolen right under her eyes? She will get it back, by hook or by crook. The entire day she didn't come out of the room and butler served her lunch and dinner in her room. She devised many schemes to get the position back but none of them were strong enough.
She would not let Xie Yuansheng win this time. She would fight tooth and nail to get her company back. She slept late at night thinking about her plans and in the end decided to meet him face to face in the office. She hating every minute of the fact that she was staying under the same roof as he was staying with his mother. She had to ask them to move out as soon as possible.
Next day, Feng Xinying woke up late and got ready. She went down late on purpose to avoid seeing any of them. When she reached the dining area, she looked at the large twelve-seat dining table where her father would always sit on the master chair and she would keep changing her place sitting on every chair one by one. She smiled at the memory and sat down on the chair she had to sit next.

Lu Boyun immediately asked the maids to bring her breakfast. He had prepared many dishes for her and lovingly served her. He kept urging her to taste all the dishes that were present there saying, "Young miss, look at you. You have become so thin. You look like a stick. Please eat well."
Feng Xinying smiled at him and said, "Lu Boyun you will make me fat. I am a model and I need to stay like that in order to get assignments."
"Young miss, please eat properly. It pains my heart to see you so malnourished," he replied earnestly.
Feng Xinying laughed loud.
After having her breakfast she picked her purse and went out of the house to the garage. The drivers who were sitting and talking amongst themselves jumped out of their seats and lined up for her.
She pointed to one of them and said, "Take me to the office."
