Jellan was shocked as she was literally in front of Nile and yet the zombie still ignored her and went to Nile.

A deafening sound was heard when the zombie's huge fist hit the spear that Nile was holding.

At this moment, Nile did not only block it simply but also swung his spear hardly towards the incoming fist.

Even though the Weapon of Change was only a level two weapon, it was not named Peak of Level Two° for nothing.

Nile was pushed back a few meters but a trace of zombie blood was now present on the spear he was holding.

It was also the reason why the zombie was enraged at him in the first place. Currently, the zombie was already laden with minor wounds.

Only the skin and the outer surface of its body was what the Weapon of Change managed to wound.

Nile stabilized his body in mid-air and landed smoothly to the ground with his spear.

Just as the zombie was about to follow Nile, a shout was suddenly heard from its back.

"You're not going anywhere!" Jellam bellowed as she swung the sword forcefully to her father's head.

There was no hesitation on her strike as she had already accepted the truth after seeing her father again earlier.

She's a smart girl after all. She didn't become a level two human without reason.

Swing!

However, as good as her strike may be, it was still blocked easily by the zombie.

Roar!

The zombie roared in anger towards her face, blowing the hoodie and her hair that was only in shoulder's length.

Zombie saliva was sprinkled to her face but she managed to avoid every single bit of it except for some tiny particles.

If it was a normal human that got sprayed by such saliva, they would surely become infected and transform into a zombie on the spot.

However, humans who have already leveled up already have a certain immunity towards the apocalypse virus, after all, they were consuming such viruses for them to gain strength.

Unlike before, the zombie no longer disregards her this time, as it raises one of its fist high in the air, preparing for a powerful strike.

Jellan saw the movements but could not respond to it in time.

Boom!

Her body was hit but was only thrown a few meters away.

It was because right at the moment of impact, Nile had already returned and managed to partially block that attack, causing for the force to diminish when it reached Jellan.

Nevertheless, Jellan still coughed a mouthful of blood from the impact.

Unlike Nile, she doesn't have any cloth armor on herself. The bone chest armor was broken to pieces long ago. And it seems that her sword will be about to follow the armor's footsteps soon.

Jellan did not bother with her situation as she instantly went back to battle after standing up.

At this moment, Nile and the zombie were exchanging blows after blows. And of course, Nile was always on the losing end due to their level and strength difference.

Nevertheless, it was not on Nile's purpose to finish the battle quickly. He wanted to draw out the battle, not to tire the zombie out, but to at least slow down its movements with multiple wounds.

And his plan was already starting to bore fruit. He could now respond to its attack, dodging some of them completely.

His situation and complexion was also still at its best state, the reason for that was simple.

He was sucking three kinds of lollipops while fighting.

One for recovering his stamina or energy, one for healing his wounds, and the other one was for a momentary burst of strength. Each of them cost 10 Apocalypse points as they are already level two items.

However, a while later, Nile noticed that Jellan's battle participation had decreased. He was worried for a second as he imagined the worst-case scenario instantly.

'Damn, she already betrayed me?' His brows suddenly scrunched in irritation as he searched her on his surroundings.

And in the corner, he saw her sprawling to the ground, trying to get up while coughing blood.

Nile suddenly felt embarrassed after thinking about her betraying him, he was also glad at the same time that it did not happen for real.

Bam!

As his attention was occupied for a moment, a strike from the zombie suddenly arrived on his ribs area.

However, due to the instant adapter talent, he was able to reposition the spear's handle at the last second, successfully blocking the attack.

'It's attack are getting weaker!' Nile smiled after realizing this fact.

It seems that his 'tactics' was already showing its result.

Nevertheless, his body was still thrown and pivoted away from that punch.

Nile stabilized his body in mid-air again as he scratched the ground with his spear to act as his brake.

His body stopped moving backward perfectly right beside Jellan.

"I'm… cough… sorry...cough… I'm so weak! coug!" Jellan whined as she tried to help herself up.

She really did feel that instead of helping, she has become a burden for Nile instead.

Nile could only smile after hearing her thoughts.

And to be honest, she was really a little burden for him, but she still did her part and his plan of wounding the zombie all over its body would not be as successful if it wasn't for her help.

'I sent the three away and another one replaced them at the next moment! But it's alright, you've done your part!' He commented internally.

"You are not!" Nile nevertheless consoled her.

The zombie was already starting to move again towards them at a speed lower than before.

Roar!

It dashed towards them, disregarding the various wounds that was now clearly present on its body.

However, Nile could not bear leaving her side at the moment, not when she was in that pitiful condition.

And so Nile bought a level two healing lollipop from the system store before speaking,

"Uhmm, do you want to suck my lollipop?" Nile asked seriously.

"Cough! Suck… cough… what?" Jellan was stunned momentarily upon hearing it. She even coughed blood even more violently before a tinge of blush could be seen on her dirty face.

"This, this lollipop! It has mutated and came with a healing property. Look, I'm even sucking one right now!" Nile pointed his finger to the lollipop on his hand and then to the lollipop he was sucking seriously.

"Cough! Ohh, you mean that… I see… thank you then!" Jellan replied with a stiff voice, disappointment was apparent from her tone alone.

She coughed a bit more before she extended her hand to receive the lollipop that could supposedly heal her.

And just as Nile was about to hand her the healing lollipop, a sound that came directly inside his head was suddenly heard…
