Into The Zombie World Chapter 210

"Forget it! You won't understand even if I told you!" Nile said bluntly as he hopped down from the huge boulder he was sitting at earlier.
Even if he tells them outright, he knew that they would only deny him.
'I have a System, I don't need any of your help so go away!' Is what he was thinking.
He may sound arrogant but he thought that he has the right to do so. Only he himself could tell how strong he would be if things continued as it is. No attachments and just plainly killing zombies to increase stats. Sooner or later, he will become the strongest being in this world. 'As long as I move carefully, no way I could die!'
Nile approached Maximo and patted its head that was still glaring at Burge and Damian's direction. 'Stand up Max.' He said inside his to which the animal responded swiftly.
As he was about to hop on the carabao's back, he looked back at Damian and Burge before saying, "Right, please stop following me from now on. I might be new to this town but I could guarantee you I knew quite a lot about it."
"Let's go Max!" He continued.
"Wait!" Suddenly, Burge's hurried shout traveled on his ears.
"What now?" Nile frowned a bit upon being stopped. He already explained that he is not going to join, yet they are still so persistent.
'Is talking to them the wrong choice? Should I have just ambushed them from the beginning?'
In his previous world, if this kind of thought surfaced, he would surely face severe consequences. However, after being here for over a week now, Nile had already started to blend and adapt to the apocalypse world's rules. Not to mention the instant adapter talent that he got recently.

'Wait! Could they be thinking of getting rid of me as I no longer have any value to them seeing that I won't join their faction?'
'How dare they!' Black lines started to form on his knitted forehead as the temperature suddenly turned cold.
Damian and Burge gulped a mouthful of saliva as they felt the chilly atmosphere piercing their skin. Beads of sweat started to roll down from their foreheads as they tried their best to breathe.
"Wha… What's your name?" Amidst the heavy pressure he was feeling, Burge finally managed to utter the words that had been stuck in his throat all this while.
"If you don't want to join… At the very least tell us your name." He continued with much difficulty.
Hearing that, Nile's expression behind the mask eased a bit. The gloomy atmosphere also started to return to normal, resulting in both Damian and Burge to feel less pressure and breathe normally.
"Ohh just that? Come on, you should've told me sooner!" Nile said as if he didn't think something about killing them earlier.
"The name's Nile, and this here is my pet, Maximo! Well then, see ya!" He said as he waved his hand at them before hopping onto Maximo's back.
Maximo then sprinted away from the area, leaving the petrified Damian and Burge behind. Croco and Ogis also followed suit a while later after confirming that Damian and Burge no longer have any interest in following them.
Gulp! Gulp!
Two resounding gulps echoed in the area as Damian and Burge looked at each other. They could see fear in both of their eyes.
"What the hell is that?" Damian said after wiping the sweat that was rolling down his cheek.

"You ask me but who would I ask?" Burge replied, his legs are still shaking from that intense pressure that he felt.
"Could he be the Beheader?"
"Ahh we didn't manage to ask him about it. But it's not entirely impossible! You've felt it yourself, that kind of pressure, even our leader doesn't feel that intense. It's suffocating to be honest." Burge said as he massaged his throat.
"You said it right!"
"Not only him but that mutated animal… his pet, although it's weaker than us, in a one-on-one fight, I'm not confident in defeating it."
"Aside from those two, I also felt another being staring at us, even before we met that guy. I already have this uneasy feeling inside me. It's as if we are being observed."
"So you mean?"
"We don't stand a chance even without that scary guy!" Burge said grimly.
"Damnn… You sure about that? Did you forget that we are already mid stages of level two?" Damian retorted.
"I know, of course I know you idiot! But you already know right? Before the outbreak, when we are still bouncers in that club, we always managed to avoid trouble by not offending those who we shouldn't offend. Don't you remember? It's always with this intuition of mine that we are still alive right now! So trust me, when I say we don't stand a chance, we don't stand a chance."
"Alright. Alright, I get it man, no need to get work up about it." Damian raised his hand in surrender after seeing Burge's reaction. 'It's this serious?'
"So? What's our next plan? Do we go back and report this to our leader? As you said, that guy might be the Beheader. Seeing his strength up close, we are already lucky that we are still alive." He continued.
"No! Let's continue on our investigation first. As you've said, it's only an assumption. Not to mention, even if we go back, the leader and the others won't be there as they are also investigating the other sites."
Phew!
Burge wiped his sweat again before exhaling a heavy breath. "Let's go! Let's just traceback the path we've taken earlier."
"Alright. Alright."
"Hmm? By the way, did you pissed your pants? Ever since earlier, I keep smelling urine smell or something?" Damian said as he lightly touched his nose.
Burge almost tripped after hearing Damian's words. "Wh… what are you talking about? I... I didn't piss my pants"
"Huh? Then what's that wet mark on your pants?"
"That's just my sweat you idiot! Come to think of it, your pants also have a wet spot on it. Don't tell me... you also pissed on your pants?"
"N...n.no, that's clearly just my sweats from earlier!"

Eight
His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year old body on another world. The first book focuses on Eight's survival on a dangerous new world. If you're a fan of Gary Paulsen's Hatchet, you'll enjoy it. The story is one of discovery, bushcraft, and finding one's way. Note that, while this is very much LitRPG, progression is slow, and Eight spends much of the first book alone. The second book recounts what happens when Eight and friends head east to the village of Voorhei. Expect a blend of fantasy adventure, ghost story, cozy mystery, and family drama. Books one and two make a complete story, while book 3 has just gotten underway.
