Into The Zombie World Chapter 203

The level two zombie didn't let go of the bird's legs, and instead, after smashing the bird with the long staff, the zombie then smashes the bird to the ground.
However, the bird managed to flap its wings, hence lowering the impact. The bird flapped its wings even harder in a bid to escape from the zombie's clutch. Using its free talon, the bird clawed the zombie's hand causing a tear to surface on its rotting skin.
The zombie's thumb was torn and was cut off from the rest. Without the thumb to grip, the bird finally set itself free from the zombie's clutch.
Immediately, the bird wanted to fly away from the zombie. However, the zombie's long staff had already descended into its wings.
Crack!
The sound of bones breaking echoed in the surroundings as the bird was forced to land on the ground a few meters away.
The bird was dragged on the ground due to the momentum of that strike that struck it.
The bird's wing had snapped, it could no longer fly.
However, it still hurriedly got up and glared at the zombie not far away from it. Its wing was laid in the ground, feathers were scattered everywhere, evidence of the fierce fight that occurred earlier.
The zombie spun the long staff it was holding and ran towards the bedridden bird.
Due to the fight, the two- the zombie and the bird seems to have not noticed the arrival of three figures. The three were- Nile and his two pets, Maximo and Croco.
Nile also didn't bother to alert the two, it works well for him. The zombie was stronger than him and he knew that it would only be a matter of time for it to kill the bird.

And his assumption had really come true. The bird was now lying on the ground, its wing had snapped and it could now only hop away in a bid to retreat away from the running zombie.
The zombie was ecstatic and seems to be thinking of how to eat the bird by now. It ran towards the bird without a care of the world. Its whole focus was on the prey in front of it.
It was also during this time that Nile found the opportunity to strike.
The ring on his right hand glowed with red. In an instant, the ring was nowhere to be seen and what replaced it was a black and red metallic rope.
Nile didn't waste any more time. The zombie had already reached three meters away from the bedridden bird, and it had already raised its long staff to smash the bird on the ground.
Woosh!
The rope traveled at an extreme speed. If a normal person was present on the scene, they would probably where the rope had gone after Nile threw it. The speed it traveled to was no longer visible to the normal human eye.
The rope arrived instantly on the zombie's foot.
The zombie finally noticed the incoming rope, it's fast reflexes as a level two being was not for show as it instantly lifted its foot off the ground to dodge.
However, the rope didn't stop and instead went further ahead- towards the zombie's other foot.
The instant the end of the rope hit the zombie's ankle, it immediately coiled itself like a snake.
The Nile smirked after confirming that the rope had successfully finished its mission. Without a moment of delay, he pulled the rope forcefully and instructed Maximo to run away.

Maximo was alert from the start and the moment he heard the order, he didn't hesitate to run away as fast as possible.
Swoosh!
The zombie was dragged like a cart. The Nile held the rope tightly while Maximo ran as fast as it could akin to lightning.
Croco was left behind but it's not that he didn't have something to do. He was instructed by his master to look out for the bedridden bird, lest it flew away. His master- Nile, had plans for the bird.
Croco approached the bird and glared at it fiercely.
Sheeng!
He retracted one of his arm blades and threateningly stared at the bedridden level two bird. It's as if he was saying, 'Be obedient or you'll become my meal later on!'
Maximo galloped away like a rat escaping from its predator.
"STOP!"
Maximo heard his master's order and even though he was confused, he still stopped immediately. Using his front hooves as the break, a black mark surfaced itself on the ground due to the friction.
It didn't take a few seconds for his speed to halt, his velocity returned to zero in that instant.
At this moment, Nile who was atop Maximo's broad back did not stay idle. The moment Maximo's velocity reached zero, he pulled the rope he was holding and forcefully flung the zombie towards the front.
With the momentum derived from the dragging earlier, as well as the momentum of his pull, the zombie's body was flung towards the front and got smashed towards a car in the distance.
Boom!
The car was reduced to rubbles as the hard flesh of the level two zombie struck it hard. It was torn in half. The broken car got broken for the second time.
However, the car wasn't enough to stop the zombie's speed as its body proceeds forward before smashing towards a huge tree.
BOOM!
A louder bang reached Nile's ears as the huge tree shook from the impact. Its leaves rustled and fell to the ground one by one.
Nile felt the rope tugged slightly.
And the moment he felt that tug, he ordered for Maximo to run back again.
Maximo had already realized his master's plan by now. He didn't waste any more time as he turned around and ran as fast as he could.
The rope tightened into a straight line as the zombie was dragged again for the second time.
Nile smirked under his mask and glanced at the back to see the dragged level two zombie.
And the instant he saw the scene, he immediately shivered and even ordered Maximo to run faster.

Blightbane
Miscellaneous Notes: - I want to see about making a crude map of Shroud to help readers. - I also want to get back to writing Coalescence updates. Schedule Notes: - None for now, updates when I can. [ Thank you for your patience and support as I improve my writing and storytelling abilities. I'm also using this story to better develop lore that extends far beyond it. ] Thanks to another exceptionally talented artist, Hiroeth, Blightbane now has an official cover! Vera was alone again. “You’re completely unprepared. Never before has sending one of you off made me feel quite so guilty.” Whenever she found herself in doubt, she would weigh her actions against the guiding principles of the one whom she revered. “When you don’t know the rules of the game, start making them up. When you are constrained by unfavorable conditions, inject a little chaos.” It was the supplementary message that concerned Vera the most. It was difficult to follow because it was intentionally vague and mired in subjectivity. “How can I enjoy myself when you look so tormented? Are we in danger?” Vera fell silent. An experiment is taking place on a planetary scale. Across the surface of the planet, a phenomenon referred to as "Blight" is spreading. Festering regions defended by fierce creatures called “blightbeasts” taint the surface, warping the land and proliferating unceasingly. Among the sentient creatures of the planet, it is the Blightbane Guild’s responsibility to stem the tide. They endeavor to cleanse the land in a struggle of attrition, but they are losing ground. A young man named Caim has been uprooted from his former life and transported to The Shrouded Theocracy, an isolationist nation with fanatical policies. He must struggle to survive with only an unfamiliar strain of magic to aid him. There is a secret to this magic. One he knows very little about. He intends to explore just what makes this magic special. On the far border of the theocracy, a mage scientist named Inis discovers a revolutionary new way to infuse strength from defeated blightbeasts. Using herself as a test subject, this process allows her to grasp magical concepts previously thought beyond her reach. Though she tries to document any side effects that arise, something escapes her awareness. She is playing with a dangerous force that will claim her most treasured asset if she isn't careful. Everyone and everything on the planet is a part of the experiment. The experiment is a lie.

The Daily Diary of a Mushroom
I was just a farmer and when my farm was attacked by bandits I fought them off as best as I could, but it turns out a single untrained woman fighting a band of twenty experienced killers doesn’t end well. Thinking I was dead I awoke to find that I had no arms and was only one ft tall. I have been reincarnated as a Mushroom Monster. What am I going to do now?__________________________________________________________________________This will be my first attempt at any kind of written novel or story, I have had a lot of ideas and tried writing some but realized they were too big in scale or too difficult for a newbie. So after thinking about what I could try for my first attempt, I came up with this. The premise is quite heavily inspired by Re:Monster (also more recently Re:lovely) and many other resurrection web/light novels. Warning Tagged [15+] for Some Strong Language, Gore, Violence.

Old Version - The First Magician
INDEFINITE HIATUS I always seem to make these too long when I ask for peoples opinions so I’m not gonna try an exciting description anymore but instead just give you an idea of what to expect. First off, this is my 2nd attempt at a story but my foundation for this one is much better than the 1st already and I see this going much further and so far its coming together much faster and easier. So please excuse me if things are not up to publishing standards. Also I tend to confuse your, you’re and so on so sorry to people that triggers ahead of time. The First Magician follows the story of 15 year old Alex in a post apocalyptic rpg-ish world in the near future. Earth was transformed, monsters appeared and people began being able to use Ki but could not figure out how to use magic. Alex ends up becoming the first human able to use magic through a series of events and sets in motion events that will change the very future of the human race. He will be somewhat OP simply because he is the only human (at least to start, who knows about later?) who is able to use mana. Many classic RPG elements have been removed. I didn’t want the story to be like all of the other lit rpg stories on RRL but it also makes the writing easier for me hence the watering down of rpg elements. UPDATES: I am doing this to relieve stress and for fun so I will release chapters when I can. So far though ive managed to keep up with 2 most days. CONTENT WARNINGS: There will be some light language but it won't be insane. I might have some gore later on but am unsure and the same for the sexual content. Sexual content isn't super likely as I doubt I can write it well but I put the tag so people cant yell about it if I add some in the future but forgot to add the tag. COVER ART: Yes it is from the anime Log Horizon. It is a good representation of what earth looks like despite it not being many years in the future. DISCORD: https://discord.gg/s6V3hGV

Reincarnation
A original story that depicts the life of Sera a Demibeast that is the reincarnation of two souls. The story will depict events that happened in her life as she is thrown into the turmoils that await her throughout her journey. With no memories of her past(Which will be in the first 6 chapters so no mystery here) she travels the lands slowly crafting her legend. Author note:Thinking of a description is harder than writing the actual fiction T^T. I initially wanted to make it shorter but minimum 100 words for description so here is author note to hopefully use up the 100 words XD. Btw this is the first description i have ever wrote so i don't expect it to be good but hopefully its acceptable. :D
