After hearing that the zombie is a level two zombie, Maximo was forced to stop his action of scratching the ground.

His mode instantly went downhill. Fortunately, his master didn't take long to also order the crocodile to help in killing the level two zombie.

Hearing their master's cue, they instantly went battle mode and stood on all fours firmly. They didn't wait for the zombie to approach and instead, they went towards the zombie.

Mechanic sounds akin to a cog being turned echoed in the air as Croco's two arm-blades showed themselves for the world to see.

Running as fast lightning, Croco arrived first, surpassing the final stage level one Maximo.

Maximo could only nod in response but nevertheless, he continues to move to approach the zombie.

The zombie at the distance was flabbergasted for a moment, it didn't think that the moment it arrived at the area, two ferocious animals would be the ones welcoming it.

The zombie was injured but for a zombie who didn't understand pain, the injuries were nothing. It only manages to hinder its movement.

Shrieeekk!

An ear-piercing scream traveled through the air and reached Croco and Maximo. The scream of the zombie was so loud that some of the leaves around started to shake.

After hearing that kind of ear-piercing scream, Croco didn't even flinch for a second. It continues to slither like a snake and it seems that it was quite effective as his speed had more than doubled compared to Maximo. Well, having a higher stage was also a factor.

His blades were shone due to the sharpness while his back was like a porcupine.

As he neared the zombie, Croco instantly leaped over to move even more faster than before.

Croco's body went past the zombie who is rooted on the spot. It didn't expect for Croco to arrive instantly.

Unfortunately for Croco, his attack had been missed by a hairsbreadth hence the reason why the zombie the zombie was rooted on the spot.

The momentum from his sprint causes Croco's legs to get dragged on the ground. It was not a major issue and Croco immediately recovered. After recovering his footing Croco instantly went back to fight.

It was also at this moment that Maximo arrived near the zombie. The zombie was vigilant about its surroundings making it hard for Maximo to close in and land a hit.

Maximo was also wary, the zombie was already a level two after all.

A blurry figure appeared beside the zombie, a blade was then slashed towards it but the zombie still manages to avoid a hit.

Maximo saw an opportunity to strike. He didn't waste any more time observing and instantly joined the fray.

Bam!

A low bang sound was heard as Maximo's sledgehammer tail manages to connect to the zombie's ribs.

The zombie's rib cage was instantly broken, but the zombie didn't mind it and instead also delivered a blow towards Croco's back.

The porcupine-like back of Croco manages to pierce the zombie's hand when it attacks. The zombie immediately retracted its hand laden with holes and curse the crocodile for having many spikes protruding on its back.

The zombie grabbed Maximo's sledgehammer tail and flung it to the side. Maximo's heavy body was nothing in front of the zombie.

Maximo stood up from the rubbles. He shook his body to get rid of the stones stuck on the saddle.

Maximo and Croco took turns to attack and every time one of them was flung aside, the other one would respond and continue harassing the zombie.

After a few minutes, the battle had finally concluded.

Maximo and Croco had wounds all over their body. Fortunately, all of them were only surface wounds and their natural healing ability should be able to heal them before breakfast tomorrow.

The zombie was wounded even before they started the fight. Nile took a glance at the zombie and realized the wounds it originally had were all wounds that were made from a sharp weapon.

The huge slit on the throat was the most eye-catching as the wound was clearly made from a knife.

Nile guessed that the zombie had escaped from a fight, this might also be the reason why it was already on the verge of death when they saw it.

Nile took a glance at the System Map and noticed that there are no particular movements around them.

As a reward, Nile took three apocalypse berries from the Storage Space and gave them to Croco and Max. The two animals were pretty excited upon seeing their master.

The two animals gobbled the apocalypse berry as if a million ants consuming food in less than a minute.

Nile also didn't want to be left behind so he also took a bite off the apocalypse berry on his hand and savor its taste.

The berry's sweetness melted inside his mouth, just like chocolate being exposed to heat. Nile must admit that the taste of this new fruit was very good.

However, recalling that the apocalypse virus was the one who made the berry mutate as such, he felt the urge to stop eating. Nevertheless, he calmed his thoughts before finishing the leftover apocalypse berry on his palm.

'The apocalypse virus had already been converted to the tree's food, the taste of the apocalypse virus was not the same with the fruits.' Nile repeatedly reminds himself of this fact.

After resting for a bit, they proceeded on their journey of farming zombies just to level up.

However, what Nile didn't know was that after a few minutes since they left, two figures could be seen wandering around the same street where his two pets killed the level two zombie.

The two were panting heavily and one of them was even using his knee as a support. The other one handed him water to calm down their nerves.

'Phew!' The man was finally able to heave a heavy sigh of relief.

"Are you sure it went this way?" Ask the other man.

His partner nodded his head and said, "Yes, it was already wounded by us, even though zombies don't feel pain, it doesn't mean that they won't be affected by its wounds."
