Into The Zombie World Chapter 186

The System prompt about Croco killing the zombie sounded inside Nile's mind.
After this, he was able to confirm yet another fact about the System Map detection range.
The zombie who Croco had killed only appeared on the System Map forty meters away from them. It looks like it was not able to detect something that was not moving from afar. If it was within his sight, it is possible to detect stationary zombies or other things, but if it was the opposite, he concluded that the System Map can only detect them if they are moving.
He already had some suspicions about it yesterday as well, that's why he made sure to check if there was something inside the root cave that could endanger his life.
After confirming such functions, Nile became even warier about his surroundings. It was not a guarantee that the system map could detect enemies around him after all.
With such a worry in his mind, he no longer made hasty movements. He instructed Maximo to go steady and cautious, while Croco was instructed to constantly sweep their surroundings.
…
At the East area of the town of Daan, the level two members of the Pink Surge Faction had already started preparation for their departure.
Their mission this time was to locate the Beheader. If it's a zombie, report immediately, if it's a human, try to rope them in. If the human Beheader is human and refuses to side with them, they have permission to kill the Beheader.
The instructions were simple and precise, all of them are already a Level Two° human, they know what they needed to do.
Burnok had already gone ahead of them yesterday, there was only 8 level two members left at the entrance of the base right now.

They have already decided who will go with whom, so they didn't linger in the area any longer as they moved away from each other to go to the respective area assigned to them.
The same scene was also occurring on the other side of the town.
West area, Blue Wave faction's base entrance.
Nine figures stood apart from each other with the leader at the center.
They are to move into pairs while their leader would go alone.
The street magician, Adam had already provided each of them a pigeon for their communication purposes. Each individual had already prepared the necessary equipment since yesterday as well.
They bade farewell to the group of level one members behind them as they all proceeded to walk away.
After a while, only the leader was left as the others had already turned towards the respective area assigned to them.
The pairing was already decided since yesterday, with the strongest pairing with the weakest of the group.
Dotina was the strongest aside from the leader so she was paired with newly-promoted Bart, the next strongest would then be paired with the person in front of Bart, so on and so forth.
At this moment, the leader of the Blue Wave Faction was faced with a road intersection. There were broken cars everywhere, a typical scene around the town.
The owner of the cars left the cars behind as they escaped helter-skelter during the chaos two months ago. If they are alive or not, no one knows.
The leader of the Blue Wave Faction glanced above and noticed the towering trees that almost blocked all the sun's rays.
The leader was only surprised for a bit before calming down. The terrifying growth rate of the trees was already known for a week, it was marvelous, but it no longer surprised the Blue Wave Faction leader that much. The leader had already gotten used to it.

Faced with the road intersection, the leader never stopped walking and continued to walk. It's as if the leader was extremely familiar with the surroundings, even though the trees had already torn the buildings around it.
The leader made a sharp turn towards the right road, the leader's guard was always activated ever since the separation from the other members. After two months of surviving on this apocalypse, keeping your guard up should be the thing every survivor had learned.
…
"Third kill, good job, Croc!" Nile gives the crocodile a thumbs up as he checked the System prompt that appeared inside his mind.
He then took a glance at the System Map and inspected what part of the town he was currently at.
As they have moved much slower than before, he could still see the Apocalypse Berry tree from where they are right now.
"I'm in the northern area then." He said.
Previously, he assumed that he was already near the center of the town, but after looking at the map again, he could not be more wrong.
The town was bigger than he had initially thought. In fact, the area he set foot in yesterday was only half-way through the center of the town.
Comparing this town to the towns from his previous world, it is at least two times larger in terms of width. He could not imagine just how big the Pangea Continent is.
Even this size town that is twice as big as the ones in his previous world could only be considered as a small town within this world's perspective.
In terms of technology, however, he knew that the two worlds were on par with each other, or at least, the Pangea Continent was only ahead of a hairsbreadth.
Nile noted the area where he had gone to before, and based on that, he chooses another area to explore today.
He selected a particular area that has an open space on it. He surmised that it was the area of a public park or something like that. He wanted to try his luck there, maybe there's a level two zombie that got lost in that area.
"Make a turn there Max." Nile instructed Maximo while pointing at an intersection ahead.
Maximo complied and sauntered towards the area. He easily bypassed the broken luxurious cars around them.
"Alright stop, we got company!" He said as he stared at the particular dot on the System Map.

Follow Jarek Novak as he fights for survival with the “help” of his personal A.I. “To recap,” I said, trying to ignore my growing headache. “I have a mind-controlling parasite in my brain. The Atropos Schema is facilitating the destruction of my world as I know it, and if it discovers this parasite, then I’m as good as dead. Currently, my world is being overrun by monsters and soon other sapient species will fight for control over my world—unless they already control my world from the shadows.” Samantha said.

Blood Seekers -- The Monolith
Blood Seekers - Book 1, is now on Amazon, including the final chapters not posted here! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MYJ5ZRC “You will die!” That's what the developers of Blood Seekers promised them... The most challenging MMO ever created—that’s how they advertised it. Taglines like, “Not your granddaddy’s game,” and, “Only for the hardest of the hardcore,” had gamers going crazy. Set in a gothic, Lovecraftian world, with fully realized A.I. NPCS, gamers were desperate to get their hands on the new game and dive in, and Clay was one of them. It was going to be tough, but he was ready for it. What he wasn’t ready for, was countless players having their minds hijacked and being transformed into mindless, hostile creatures filled with nothing but hate who killed anyone on sight. They called them the Bloodless. Clay’s best and only friend, Rey, moved across the country she was twelve, but they kept in touch online, playing countless games together, and when Blood Seekers was released, they were both ready to step up to the plate and face the new challenge together. But now, Rey has been taken by the plague, her mind held hostage as one of the Bloodless. A mysterious black monolith has appeared at the center of the highest level zone in the game, a place no one has even come close to. Some say it will provide us with answers. Others say it will only lead to more questions. Who’s behind all this? Why are people’s minds being taken? Will we ever get to bring them back? How many more will be lost if we stay logged in? Nothing is certain, but if there’s any chance that reaching the monolith will bring Rey back back, then Clay will do everything he can to reach it. This is Book 1 in a new series from Stephen Roark! I will be posting chapters here until the book is done and published on Amazon!

First RE:Guards
Status: Never to return again in this form (But the characters shall appear in a rewrite) I used to be a fire fighter. The requirements were easy enough with today's technology. Machines did the heavy lifting. Artificial intelligences put together action plans with the greatest resolution possible. Most days were simple jobs, first aid on minor fires, cats stuck in pipes too fine for machines, or when alarms went off that normal security scans couldn't eliminate. Most of the time our only skill was being willing to go into dangerous areas and follow orders, only I died running into the latest in biological terror. A beast that spawned fire. I remember the pain, it overwhelmed everything. Now I've woken in a new sort of existence. One where the only creature to view is a little girl, and she needs my help. Isabella Brand. Izzy, my one light in world of darkness and pain. She has the makings of a mage in her world and I'm going to be her spirit animal.

A War Beyond Kings
Author: I made som mistakes early in the story that I will have to correct, but it will take some time. I have not abandoned this story, but I will be working on my computer and will not be active on royal road. "The elves start to leave their secure forest of Silvanwood for the first time in over two thousand years. Wizards are murdered in their own homes one by one to the dismay of the Jeidan Order of mages. The ancient ruins in Agnellia seem to have awoken after thousands of years of abandon. The flames of war are brewing, and the continent of Maëgor is about to witness a war like never seen before." Author’s note: This is a serious story, loosely inspired from many great works, which you will maybe be able to identify on your own. It is entirely original though. I’ll be working on this for hours every day, but that doesn’t necessarily means that there’ll be daily chapters. I don't own the rights to the cover image, and will immediatly take it down if the author requires so. Every chapter will be at least 2000 words. And congratulations to anyone who guesses on which language the chapter titles are written in.
