Into The Zombie World Chapter 161

'Is it the Beheader?' The man said as he glanced at the minced hybrid meat on the ground.
He stood up alertly and slowly withdrew from the scene. If it's really the Beheader, then he should be more careful. Even though he arrogantly said that he would kill the Beheader alone if he ever sees it, he knew the clear difference between being arrogant and dumb.
He may be arrogant, but he knew what he was doing.
The man's name was Burnok. He is a member of the Pink Surge faction, and he likes to move alone rather than in pairs or groups.
Burnok has blonde coloured mohawk hair with a striking appearance. He was wearing black jeans paired with a black jacket that was not zipped, causing his abdominal muscles to be seen.
Previously, he left the meeting first and hurriedly went towards the center of the town. After meeting someone, he then went back towards his own base.
Although zombies aren't active at night, that would only be the case for the low leveled ones. Those who have already broken through level 2 and above had no problem moving around at night.
It has been months already since he arrived in the town, so one could say that he was an expert in this area.
Slowly, he went towards a broken house and closed all its openings. The door, windows, and all that was left open were closed by him.
If it were really the Beheader, then he should observe the surroundings first. He doesn't know if it would suddenly pounce on him, like how the zombies usually did things.
He plans on staying here for the night, and at the same time, observe the surroundings in case the Beheader still remains in the area.

Know thy enemy before attacking. That's what his father would always tell him, before the apocalypse.
'Tsk! You keep on saying that line to me before, but where are you right now?' He thought as he clenched his fist and gnashed his teeth. A Drop of tear slowly slid beside his eyelid, thinking of his father.
'Just wait, pa! I will have the strength to save you soon!' He thought to himself resolutely, as he continued to observe the silent surroundings.
…
A few streets away, back to where Nile and his pets were currently at.
BURP!
BURP!
Two loud burps echoed as the two animals tapped their bloated belly after finishing their dinner.
Apparently, Croco was still not satisfied as he approached his master and opened his jaw widely while pointing his arms inside it. It's as if he was saying that he wanted more innards, his favourite food.
"What? Where are you going to put the food if I decided to give you more?" Nile said while staring at the crocodile's bloated stomach.
Croco then turned to the side and pointed towards the part of his belly. Apparently, that area was not stuffed yet, and it seems that he wanted to fill it in with more innards.
"Well…" Nile could only smile wryly, seeing the crocodile's actions.
"Alright, but this will be the last, alright? By the way, your innards stocks will only last two more meals." Nile finally agreed, hoping that his pet crocodile would evolve soon due to eating more than usual.
Croco felt happy after hearing the first sentence, but after hearing the second one, his whole body shivered as his spikes stood erect in worry. He then looked pitifully towards his master with the best cute appearance that he can make.

His owner, Nile, shook his head, and said, "Don't worry though, we will search for more tomorrow."
Hearing that piece of good news, Croco lets out a heavy and satisfied breath as he went towards the corner to eat the innards he just 'hustled.' Before he did that though, he slowly peeked at a certain jealous animal.
'Moo?'
Suddenly, Nile heard a soft carabao sound beside him. He slowly turned his head and what he saw was Maximo's pouty and jealous face. It's as if he was saying,
'You're giving that crocodile an extra meal while ignoring me? Hmmph! Where's the privilege of being your first pet?'
Nile seemingly understood the carabao and instantly said, 'Here's yours. It's double than usual, alright?'
He said with a smile plastered on his face. If only Maximo could see behind the mask, he would surely think twice about accepting the almond nuts Nile had just offered.
Behind that mask, a creepy smile was printed as he thought about the possibilities of his two pets evolving soon enough, due to overeating.
Following Croco, Maximo also went towards another corner to eat his fill. In an alert manner, he looked left and right to inspect if someone was trying to sneak beside him to steal his mutated almond nuts.
'Why do they always hide in the corner when they eat? Are they afraid that I might snatch their food?' Nile thought.
'Hmm? Now that I recall, haven't these hesitated about eating earlier? Should I take them back?' Nile playfully thought as he stared at his two pets.
'No, no, no. Let them be, and it's all for their good anyways.'
'Come on, eat some more, and evolve faster.' He said while clapping his two hands together. It's as if he's an uncle trying to win a child over with sweet candy.
He watched his two pets alternately eating happily with their own food.
Ding!
While staring at Maximo, he suddenly 'heard' the System prompt inside his head.
[An evolution has been triggered! Do you want to proceed? Y/N?]
He bulged his eyes in surprise and just stared at the System prompt for a few minutes. 'Isn't this too good to be true?'
[An evolution has been triggered! Do you want to proceed? Y/N?
Note: If you don't proceed right away, the evolution will be forfeited.]
'Fuck, do you still have to ask? 'Yes' right away.'
He said as he cheerfully presses the 'Y' button inside his head.

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.
