Into The Zombie World Chapter 157

Feelings of being betrayed by the System soared up inside him.
What's the difference between killing a peak Level One° zombie and a level one zombie who was about to evolve to level two? Nothing right? They both have stats points of 14.9.
Then why do the points gained have a huge difference?
Come one, give me a broken System. We have already become friends for too long, why are you still trying to scam me?
However, his mood suddenly went up again. Inside his head, three new System prompts had appeared.
[Congratulations Host, your pets successfully killed a Level One° zombie.
Constitution and Will: +0.05
Apocalypse Points: +5
Congratulations Host, your trap, the lawnmower has killed a Level One° zombie.
Constitution and Will: +0.05
Apocalypse Points: +5
Congratulations Host, your trap, the lawnmower has killed a level one zombie.

Apocalypse Points: +5
…
]
His brows knitted in confusion as he tried to recall where did this lawnmower suddenly come from.
After a few breaths, Nile clasped his hands as if a light bulb was lit up inside his head. "I see! The house from the previous village, huh!"
He recalled that when they were about to evolve, he set up six lawnmowers and scattered them around the house in case they were interrupted amidst their evolution.
Based on the System Logs, four lawnmowers were triggered reaping four Level One zombie lives.
"Hmmm! Pathetic!" He said, thinking about those zombies who had fallen to such traps.
Partly he was confused as well, there's a dozen of mutated plants around the house, right? How can the zombies bypass those? Have the zombies eaten the plant's brains as well?
'Pfft! As if plants have brains!' He laughed by the absurdity of his own thoughts. He suddenly recalled another game he played from the previous world. It's also about zombies eating plant brains. That game is quite a classic.

Four lawnmowers that cost him 2 Apocalypse Points had actually earned him 5 Apocalypse Points each. A profit of 3 Apocalypse Points with 0.05 stats as a bonus.
'Should I set up more lawnmowers around here? It seems a pretty good business.'
'Well, that's a hassle so I guess it's a no. I don't have that much capital and I can't even make sure that every trap will have a catch.'
He uttered stats under his breath to take a look at his current stats points and Apocalypse Points.
24.30 and 991.
"I'm still far from Level Three° but as long as I'm moving forward, I'll definitely reach and surpass that rank." He said with confidence.
Well, his confidence isn't one without reason. With the System's help of automatically strengthening him with every zombie he killed, he will not have any problems with not being able to absorb or digest the Apocalypse Viruses.
Not to mention the various talents and weapons that he could obtain from the System Store. Although he would complain about the system being a scam, deep inside, he is actually pretty thankful for it. Without it, he's afraid that he might not still be a Level One° human after a few weeks.
But with the System's help, he actually reached level two even before two weeks had passed since he started his killing spree. He is confident that no one under the land of Pangea is as fast as him in terms of getting stronger.
Well, if they don't know before hand, no one would definitely check the zombie's brain on the very first day of the apocalypse and collect the Apocalypse Virus inside it, right?
"It's getting late. Max, Croc, stop flattering each other already, let's get out of here." He said as he sauntered towards the two animals who was still flattering each other.

He already inspected the System Map and it's not showing any zombies nearby. It's not showing any approaching zombies either. It's quite a surprise considering the noise they had cost earlier.
The surroundings had also gotten dark as well, as the sun was already tired from being hanged all day long and was now starting to set and rest on the west.
"Let's go. Let's search something for our dinner!" He said as he hops above Maximo's broad back.
Moo!
Grr!
After letting out their own sounds, the two animals instantly bolstered towards the exit of the supermarket.
…
At the same time, in the town of Daan's center area, inside the Town Hall.
In a dimly lit room at the uppermost and the biggest area of the Town Hall, one man was kneeling to the ground facing towards the figure who was seated atop the Town Chief's seat.
The Chief's seat was elevated high from the ground to signify the importance of the person seated on it.
The figure on the Chief's seat was seating nonchalantly atop the extravagant seat of the Town Chief. With the chin resting on one of its hands, the figure looked down towards the man below with an indifferent attitude.
The man below the elevated seat was kneeling with his right knee on the ground as he faced the figure atop the Chief's seat.
"Chief, they are making a move!" The man said with utmost respect and reverence. His head was lowered to the ground, as if afraid of having eye contact with the person above him.
The figure didn't respond and continued to act lofty. The figure stared at the man below, as if saying to continue.
The man kneeling on the ground, had his head lowered and couldn't see what was going above him. But as if a signal was passed to him, he instantly continued speaking with the same reverence and respect on his voice.
"The Blue and Pink faction had started a meeting today. It was about the new talk of the town. They termed it as the Beheader. It was said that this Beheader had caused quite a commotion as it instantly took the lives of the zombies without being seen…"

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.
