Into The Zombie World Chapter 129

Nile felt satisfied with the Weapon of Change's ability. He thought that it would be very helpful in his future battle.
The sun had already risen fifteen degrees on the horizon.
The Weapon of Changing had now returned to its former box appearance as Nile had already 'inspected' it enough. He now plans on storing it in the Storage Space.
However, Nile got a sudden idea and without wasting any more time, he instantly executed it.
With a thought from Nile, the box glowed for a moment before it changed its appearance.
The Weapon of Change had become elongated and flat like a snake. The Weapon of Change just changed into a belt.
Excitedly, Nile was about to wear it on his waist when he realized that it would be a hassle to retrieve the belt during a battle. Nile then remembered a certain item that would always be close to his hand.
In an instant, the box changed its appearance into a black ring with a red lightning glow that would appear from time to time. Nile felt satisfied and wore it immediately.
After countless transformations, Nile already knew the Weapon of Change's limitations.
The Weapon of Change couldn't expand more than its actual size but it could shrink its size to more than a hundred times. It could also separate into many parts and the parts that are separated applied the same principle of 'couldn't expand more than its size but could shrink a hundred times.'
Nile made two rings and wore them on both of his hands. That way, it's easier for him to change and grab it in the middle of a battle. He could also transform two weapons at the same time and use his dual wield talent for it to work more effectively.
And speaking of talent, Nile browsed through the System Talent Store and scrolled downwards to see the Top Level Two° Talent.

[Level Two° Instant Adapter Talent: A Peak Talent sitting on the throne as the most useful of all Level Two° talents available. Adapt in the middle of anything and catch your enemies in surprise. Facing a Martial Arts master opponent? No problem, let the Instant Adapter do its work and become a Martial Arts Master yourself. Facing a Master Marksman? No problem, let the Instant Adapter do its work and adapt to become a Master marksman yourself. A Peak Level Two° Talent that nothing could compare.
/1500 Apocalypse Points.]
[Buy? Y/N?]
Nile didn't wait any longer and instantly pressed the 'Y' button inside his mind.
[Congratulations, Host. You successfully acquired the Level Two° Instant Adapter Talent.]
Nile closed his eyes and readied himself to the usual knowledge that would be poured inside his mind every time he acquired a talent.
However, a few minutes had passed by but the knowledge he was waiting for didn't arrive.
"Fuck, don't tell me I got scammed?" Nile opened his eyes in confusion. He wanted to ask the System what was going on but suddenly, he instantly realized what was going on.
"I see. I see." Nile smiled and nodded his head shamelessly as if he had already known something since the beginning.
The Instant Adapter had already been installed inside his mind. Unlike the combat talent that needs to pour combat-related knowledge, the Instant Adapter Talent didn't need to do so. It would instantly make Nile a master in the middle of something.
Just like what had happened earlier, he was confused about the knowledge not getting poured inside his mind but the Instant Adapter Talent did its work and made him realize the truth of the matter.
"I hope this one helps me with my scatterbrain disease." Nile jokingly stated.

"Well, time to eat breakfast," Nile said as he sat beside Maximo again.
After his shopping spree, including the clothes of his two pets, Nile's Apocalypse Points had decreased from 4444 into 999 Apocalypse Points.
Nile bought a set of food for him and Maximo for their breakfast. Croco was still munching with innards he collected earlier so Nile didn't bother to buy him one. From 999 Apocalypse Points, it's now decreased again to 969 after the meal.
"Time to go... Max, Croc, let's go!" Nile uttered a few minutes after he finished his meal. The two animals got up from their laying position and raced to stretch their bodies.
Nile hopped on the back of Maximo and sat comfortably at the Saddle.
Their next destination would be the 'Town of Daan!"
The town where the elites gathered and battled for their survival.
...
It didn't take long for Nile and his two pets to reach the other end of the village. Of course, if they didn't stop to collect the mutated parts lying around, then they might have already exited the village long ago.
Nile didn't waste the free Apocalypse Points lying around the road. He already learned his lesson and decided to save as much as Apocalypse Points as possible even if it reached the five digits.
Rainy days are often abrupt, and like an ant, he wants to always be prepared for it.
As they exited the periphery of the village, Nile noticed a commotion at the distance in front of him.
He then recalled the time he observed the village atop the huge tree from before. Where he realized that the survivors of the village resided.
His Instant Adapter Talent instantly kicked in and he immediately understood what was going on.
The group they killed yesterday night was not the village of Kayawan's survivors. Instead, the real survivors would be the people inside of the dilapidated tents in the distance.
From afar, Nile could see the bodies of some animals lying around the tent. Some people were scurrying around the bodies of the dead mutated animals and zombie pets holding sharp weapons each. They were extracting every mutated weapon they could extract on one animal and they made sure that the zombie pets were really dead.
Nile shook his head and decided not to approach the survivors.
He could no longer count how many people he had killed already. He didn't even feel guilty about it as what he did was just for himself anyway.
Besides, the Instant Adapter talent also made him realize that going over there would be a waste of time.
Killing for fun was a waste of time.
But, if the other party tried to harm him and his pets in any way, the Instant Adapter Talent could also make him into a cold-blooded killer.

Disclaimer of sorts: I am non-native English writer that used to write mostly for himself. After my last computer decided to die on me taking all my works with it I lost the desire to write for quite a long time. This is my attempt to go find motivation to write again as this was my favourite hobby. The idea is to be held accountable. As for being non-native, I don't believe that should be a major issue as I feel my proficiency in English to be sufficient enough to not be too much of the distraction. That said, be forewarned that the rules governing punctuation are beyond my grasp. All I can do is try not to completely suck at that. As mentioned this is an attempt to motivate me to write again so any message, encouragement or constructive criticism will go long way. The cover was created with the help of http://fantasynamegenerators.com/emblem-creator.php I hope you will enjoy my story.
