"Huh? That's it?" Nile said, visibly stunned. This time, the upgrade didn't even take more than a minute.

"Isn't this a bit anticlimactic?" Nile said.

Of course, he didn't expect something like this to happen. He only felt a little pinch and then voila, he's already a Level Two° human.

Disappointed? A little. Nile must admit.

Well, it's not that he is some kind of masochist that he wanted more pain. Nile shrugged his shoulder and brush the negative thoughts out of his mind

'It's better this way anyway.' Nile thought.

He got up from his bed and checked his arm. The tattered long sleeve hoodie was on the way so he tore it.

"My arms have gotten bigger?" Nile said after seeing the transformation of his arm.

Nile looks around to search for a mirror, unfortunately, he couldn't find any. He then remembered that downstairs, there was a full-body mirror placed beside the stairs.

Hurriedly, Nile goes down to check his current appearance.

"What the fuck, still the same?" Nile said after tearing the face mask and seeing his face under it.

It was still the same old, ordinary, basic, and common face that Nile was pretty familiar with. Well, it did change a little as he now has a little goatee on his chin.

If you could change my body then why don't you change my face as well? Huh? Are you messing with me?

Nile protested. But he knew he could do nothing about it. Besides, he knew that looks don't matter during an Apocalypse. Still, he decided to buy a face mask later to hide his face. Besides, the face masks do really helped him a lot.

Nile observed his body and he could tell that he became more muscular. At least, his muscles had become more apparent and visible.

Nile's body build before was muscular lean. But now, his body build is more like a semi buff body. Of course, his body build couldn't compare with the duo he fought earlier.

He tried checking his back again and, nada, no demon face.

Nile also noticed that his hair had gotten a little longer. It now almost reached his chin. Nile could also feel that he had gained more weight. His steps earlier were heavier than what he usually felt.

'Maybe because of the additional muscles?' Nile thought.

Nile planned on checking his two pets but considering what happened before when their upgrade took more than an hour, he decided not to disturb them.

Instead, Nile muttered 'stats' to check his current status.

"Level Two°, huh!" Nile said after seeing his stats. He couldn't estimate how strong he is right now, but probably, he could now lift double the weight on what he could lift before when his stats were still at 14.99.

Nile browsed through the System Store and bought the top Level Two° clothes.

A black jacket with red lines as its decoration, oh it comes with a hoodie too. A black pants with red lines as its decoration. A black mask with red and white lines as the decorations. A black shoes laden with red stripes and lastly, a black underwear that, unfortunately, doesn't have any decoration. These clothes don't have that much of a difference compared to the previous clothes he wore. It's just that these clothes have more defensive properties than the previous one.

Oh wait, it does have two new functions. The camouflaging and bounce back function was what was added.

The camouflaging was pretty obvious, it helps Nile to conceal his physique when he's out of battle. It doesn't mean an entire concealment though, it just helps him not to get noticed easily.

The bounce-back function operated the same with a porcupine. If someone hits Nile, it could bounce back some of the damage the enemy caused by bouncing back the strength used. It also has a limitation, it couldn't bounce back hits that were beyond its defensive capability.

Nile excitedly wore the clothes he just bought. For a moment, he looks like someone who is about to go for a jog.

Nile's hair had now become longer, so he tied it like a ponytail so that it wouldn't be a hindrance. He did consider cutting it but he thought that having long hair also suits his taste.

The face masks that Nile was wearing now looks like it was a demon. It is decorated with red and white teeth that look intimidating. Well, it does have the function of intimidation so maybe that's the reason why.

The pants fit his legs well. It's not very tight and not loose either. Nile felt comfortable moving around with it. It didn't restrict his movements whatsoever.

His shoes also have a little different as it now had some retractable spikes for some offense.

Still, nothing could beat the clothes self-cleaning function. In this period of Apocalypse, keeping yourself clean was the hardest thing.

After he was done, Nile browsed through the weapons store and inspected the top Level Two° weapon.

"Holly molly!'l" Nile staggered back a little seeing the price of weapons.

1500 Apocalypse Points.

"What is this weapon made of!" Nile secretly wipes his sweat and calms his beating heart.

After the big event earlier where he obtained a lot of Apocalypse points, Nile was already planning to go on a shopping spree and buy all the top Level Two° weapons, items, and talents. Alas, his plan was cut short after just seeing the top first weapon.

"Fuck, so expensive?" Nile decided to back away first and halt his plan, he didn't expect something like this to happen.

He thought that he was already a rich man, but it turns out that he is just a rich man inside a small hamlet.

Nile browsed through the talent's list and it was the same. The first on the list had a whopping 1500 Apocalypse Points as its price.

"Fuck! I need to farm more zombies!"
