Into The Zombie World Chapter 111

Putsik!
The sound of something being pierced was heard as a man and two animals battled a zombie together.
The man was Nile while the animals were his pets, Maximo the carabao and Croco the crocodile.
The zombie's head was pierced by a Katana cleanly before it got smashed by a sledgehammer, held by the carabao's tail. Before the zombie's body dropped to the ground, it's feet were cut first by the blade mounted at the arm of the crocodile.
The battle ended pretty quickly and Nile obtained his second zombie of the day.
Nile checked his stats and his 'Will' points are now at 11.45 while his 'Constitution' and 'Energy' both sit at 10.95.
Hopping into Maximo's back, Nile flicked the rein to continue searching for more zombies.
The Village of Kawayan has a larger area than the previous villages he visited. He also noticed that the zombies here were stronger than the previous village.
It was still far from noon but Nile had already killed the second zombie of the day.
Nile estimated that the zombie pets would already reach the periphery of the Kawayan Village by noon. However, Nile was not in a hurry to leave.
Originally, he planned on confronting the zombie horde at the town. But after the information he got from Gretta yesterday, he changed his mind and instead wanted to confront them here.
Yesterday, when he was about to leave, Gretta stopped him for a second and asked him where he was his destination. As it was not a secret, he told her that he wanted to go to the Town of Daan.
Gretta's eyes opened widely after hearing that. "Are you going to suicide? It's better to stay with us than go to that hellish place!"
Although they had just met, Gretta really prepared for Nile to stay.
Nile was confused and asked her what she was talking about.

Gretta then explained why that place was hell and why they were forced to escape from there.
During the time of their departure, Gretta said that the whole town was in chaos. Strong zombies and people gathered there battling every day. She said that it was not a problem if only the human survivors teamed up to defeat the abominations. However, the most intense fight at the Town of Daan didn't come from between a human and a zombie. Instead, it was between the fight of two strong human survivors.
The two human survivors even had their own faction. Their base was built and located on the outskirts of the Town as the town itself was dangerously laden with zombies.
The reason for the two factions fighting was simple, they didn't want competition from killing and harvesting Apocalypse Virus. They were not willing to share the expendable resources called zombies.
Gretta said they left the town as it was getting dangerous not only because of the zombies but also because of the human survivors residing there.
Gretta warned Nile that even if he was stronger than the two faction leaders, he would still not be able to contend with them as they both have hundreds of survivors under them. Not to mention, that these survivors were also strong.
It could be said that the Town of Daan was now a gathering site of the elites. May it be the zombies or humans, they were gathered there, waiting to devour each other.
"No, don't go there, please!" Gretta pleaded.
However, Nile shook his head. "You don't have a say in this. But, thanks for the information you've shared. In exchange, I'll tell you something about your friend."
He then proceeded to explain Maria's case. Nile had already checked her stats profile and the 'Status' stated that she was infected by consuming the Apocalypse Virus directly and her 'Will' was now defending the onslaught of the Apocalypse Virus she just consumed.

Gretta was tongue-tied after hearing that, she was about to go inside and inform them when Nile stopped her and gave her a pea-size ball, saying it was a medicine for Maria.
Gretta said thanks and bid Nile a farewell.
"Thank you, Nile. And... And... Take Care!" Gretta said before storming towards the room in a hurry.
Nile only nodded his head before flicking the rein to make Maximo move. Although he could just communicate with Maximo through telepathy, flicking the reign had already become his habit.
The medicine he gave to Gretta was actually just a food. But it has the function to temporarily boost the consumers 'Will' by 1 point for 10 minutes. It only cost him 1 Apocalypse Points so he didn't feel the pinch that much.
With that information, Nile had already brewed a plan inside his mind on how to get the best of the upcoming zombie pets. He would still go to the Town of Daan, just on a later date, when had already reached Level Two°
It was also in a time when the System had also issued a mission about it as well.
[Mission: Kill them all!
Description: A horde of mutated animals and zombie pets are coming in your way. Do not be a coward and face them. Kill them all.
Objective: Reach 14.99 stats points on 'Will', 'Constitution', and 'Energy' to be eligible to evolve to Level Two°.
Reward: Apocalypse Points Obtained = x2]
Nile accepted the mission without hesitation. He ignored the System's description as he fully knew that the System was also afraid to go to the Town knowing there's many strong survivors and zombies there. He also knew that it's the reason why it issued him a timely mission to become Level Two° first before reaching the Town of Daan.
When noon had arrived, Nile had also killed his third zombie of the day. That last zombie made his Constitution and Energy stats to increase from 10.95 to 11.00
As they were searching for the fourth one, Nile and the others found a panting goat. Its horn was curled and metallic, clearly showing that it had mutated.
The goat's height was as high as Nile's waist and was almost as thick as Croco's body. They had wounds all around its body. Some of them were fresh wounds while the others had already started to heal.
However, the wounds don't matter, for the Nile, Maximo, and Croco, they were hungry and the goat was meat ready to get eaten.
With tacit understanding, Maximo and Croco instantly get to work and kill the goat in one fell swoop.
Nile smiled and cleaned the goat's meat. He separated its skin as well as its innard. He then took out his lighter and started a fire right outside a house.
There were trees outside the house so Nile was not worried about the smoke attracting attention. Well, it might attract some attention but it doesn't matter to him.
The horde of mutated animals and zombie pets were now getting closer. The mutated goat was proof of that.
Earlier, it was panting and had wounds all over its body. Nile guessed that the goat's wounds were mostly obtained when it was running fast.
After roasting the goat's meat, Nile and the others ate their fill. After a few minutes, only the bones, the head, skin, and the innards were what is left on the ground.
Nile did not waste his time and instantly went away with his two pets to prepare for the upcoming siege.
