Into The Zombie World Chapter 108

Nile thought that he would literally step inside the entrance this time. Maximo and Croco had already given their permission after all.
However, the moment he raised his foot, he heard a sudden shout coming from behind.
"Stop right there! Who are you?"
Nile's foot was still in mid-air. He smiled wryly inside the mask and looked back to where the voice came from.
A club, laden with spiky nails, was pointed at Nile's face, a few meters away. The club was trembling and the nails embedded in the club were coated with red dripping blood.
The one holding the club was a woman. She has a bulky but not so exaggerated build. Her hair was cut short, but longer than a bobcat. Her bangs were messy and there seems to be a cut on her forehead.
Seeing the club pointed at him, Nile twisted his whole body to face the woman. As he did so, he made sure to close in as well to deliver a kick on her stomach.
The woman's body flew for a few meters before it was stopped by an electric post in the corner. The post was bent as the woman got up from the fall.
"Why did you attack me, bastard!" The woman pointed her club to Nile again while spitting a mouthful of blood.
Nile was just about to dash in towards her when he was again stopped by a shout from his back.
"No... Stop, that's our friend!" Sarah shouted seeing Nile going to pounce on Warya, the last member of their group again.
Sarah goes out of the left entrance and stares at Warya. "Warya, why are you here? Aren't you guarding Maria inside?"
Warya's eyes gleamed after seeing Sarah. "Big sis Sarah, you're back already?"
Warya sauntered towards Sarah, ignoring Nile who had just attacked her earlier.

"What happened? Why are you here outside instead of guarding Maria?" Sarah asked again. Gretta had also gotten outside at this time followed by Maximo and Croco.
Warya saw Gretta and Gina going out, she seemed to be happy as she greeted them with a smile, "Hello, Gretta, big sis Gina. Oh, big sis Gina what happened to you? Ehh, who's this carabao? It's so cute."
She was just about to touch Maximo when Sarah hurriedly held her hand back. Sarah shook her head, sweats started to form on her forehead as she said to Warya, "No. And answer my question already, why are you outside instead of guarding Maria?"
Warya was the strongest of all five of them. However, she seems to be a little dense sometimes and would often ignore something important. They could have brought her over when going towards the drug store, but considering her character, she might shout all of a sudden and it might attract unwanted attention.
Warya was strong, therefore, instead of bringing her along, they left her to stand and guard the sick Maria. However, now she was outside the house. The three couldn't help but wonder what's the deal this time again.
"Err, there were three men lurking around so I went out and chased them. Oh, there is a crocodile too, but it looks scary with that piercing." She said while pointing at Croco who was silently observing her.
She was about to walk over towards Croco when she was stopped by Gretta. "Where're those three men you mentioned now? And who are they?"
"I don't know them. But I headbutted that old one and they fled in a whimper." Warya said proudly.
Gina looked at her and said, "S-so that explained the cut on your forehead. And, who's club is that? You don't have that when we leave right?" Her voice was a little shaky, she was sitting above a mutated animal that could crush her head in a heartbeat after all.

"Huh, it was you, the bastard who kicked me earlier?" She said after seeing Nile with his arms crossed on his chest standing silently on the corner.
"You just noticed? And also, I'm not a bastard." Nile asks, a little confused.
'What's with this woman? How can she be more forgetful than me?' Nile thought.
"Please forgive her. She is just like that every time, she often gets distracted easily." Sarah explained in a respectful tone.
"What do you mean get distracted easily? I'm always at my best focus," Warya said while sticking her chest out proudly.
"Yeah right, then answer my question earlier already!" Gina said annoyed. If only Warya was not easily distracted, then she would have become more powerful.
Warya put her hand on her chin as if thinking deeply. After a while, she said confused, "Huh? You've asked something?"
The three women could only shake their heads in defeat. Nile had also pretty much understood the woman named Warya's character as well.
Gina could only repeat what she asked earlier, "I... I said, who's club is that one you're holding. You don't have that when we leave earlier, right?" Gina's voice was no longer shaky but one could still tell that she was nervous.
Warya seems to have forgotten something, but fortunately, she saw the club in her hand, "Hmm? Ohh this? I got it from one of those three men earlier. It's pretty cool right?"
Nile shook his head seeing them talking and catching up on each other. He cleared his throat before speaking, "Eherm, you all seem to have forgotten something important!"
'Was it a contagious disease?' Nile thought as he slowly distanced himself from the three.
"Something important?" Warya said, confused.
Suddenly at their side, they heard a surprised yell, "It's Maria."
The four women widened their eyes at the same time before dashing towards the house. With the exemption of Gina, of course.
She wanted to go instantly and check Maria's current condition. However, as she could not command the carabao, she could only peek at Nile, asking for help.
Nile nodded his head to Maximo giving the permission to come inside. Croco then followed behind Max.
Nile looks left and right, back and front, top, and bottom if there's someone or something that might stop him from entering again.
After seeing that the area was clear, Nile finally made a sigh before making a single step.
His foot touches the ground and there is no interference. Nile suddenly felt happy as he immediately came inside. The leaf entrance, then slowly closed on its own.
Max had already laid down to make it easier for Gina to climb off him. The three women helped her before they put her on the couch.
Nile was surprised after seeing how clean the room is. It doesn't look like a house abandoned during the apocalypse at all.
Suddenly, he remembered that particular house a few days ago. It was also clean and looks like it has been maintained by someone. Fortunately, he didn't get that same feeling at this house. The house he stumbled upon a few days ago can even make his hair raise in dread.
After they put Gina on the couch, Sarah made her way towards a door. She opened it and sauntered towards Maria who was sleeping on the bed.
"This is bad, her fever and temperature had risen compared to when we left." Sarah said in panic after feeling Maria's forehead and neck.

Another great war awaits, but will she be able to avert it?Second iteration of the Knight's Fate saga chronologically speaking. Yes I'm starting from the second because the first was an utter failure when I tried to write it, it just didn't fit the mood of a fantasy novel unlike this one. Though don't worry this doesn't mean you can't enjoy this one before I write the first. This is the first story I've actually published so I appreciate any feedback, be it good or bad just let me know what you think.
