Into The Zombie World Chapter 104

With bulging eyes due to anger, Sarah was doing her best to stab every part of Jacob's body. Jacob's body was now like a beehive courtesy to it having many holes.
Sarah was originally afraid of blood, but it seems that the event that took place earlier, had made her fear of blood go away.
Gretta cried and was hugging Sarah from behind. It seems that she was not the only one who wanted to vent out frustration.
However, Gretta was never courageous. After seeing Sarah vent out her frustrations like that, she felt happy too.
After exhausting her strength, Sarah finally stopped as she leaned her back towards Gretta's body.
A low grunt made the two turn their head towards the source.
Gina's eyes were knit together while gritting her teeth. It was as though she was experiencing unbearable pain. Seeing her like that, Sarah and Gretta immediately get up and hurried towards her.
Gina's body was full of wounds. She struggled to get up but due to her exhausted body, she weakly fell to the ground.
Sarah and Gretta supported her body. They were sorry for Gina. If only they have not acted that way, they might be able to kill Jacob with only minor injuries.
Gina was the most wounded of the three. Sarah opened Gina's mouth and fed her a capsule of ibuprofen. There was a crack on the huge tree's exposed root and it had accumulated quite a lot of rainwater. Gretta scooped some of the water and fed it on Gina.
After a few minutes, Gina's pain seems to have subsided already as her brows were no longer as knitted as before.
A while later, Gina opened her eyes weakly. With much difficulty, she said, "Back... we... need to... get back."
"Okay, okay. Take it easy. We will go back now." Sarah said as she clasped Gina's hand.
She then turned her head to Gretta. "Where's the man who killed Jacob? We need to thank him properly before we leave."
"He... He left earlier!" Said Gretta weakly.
"What? We still haven't thanked him yet!"
"I... I already did. But I don't know if he heard it. And, he also said that we can leave if we want." Gretta said as she recalled the scene earlier. The scene where she almost couldn't speak due to her nervousness.
"Sigh* Okay, at least you are able to say thanks. Come, help me support Gina, the two were still waiting for us back at that house." Said Sarah while she gestured to Gretta, asking for help.

Gretta nodded her head.
With Gina's permission, the two of them supported her on both sides. Gina couldn't help but growl in pain as her wound was brushed with the two's bodies.
Sarah and Gretta noticed it and they carefully placed her back to where she laid earlier. Both Sarah and Gretta then bowed their heads before apologizing.
Gina replied that it doesn't matter.
Gina was the second oldest of the group, but after what she had done, the two were already treating her as the big sister.
As Gina couldn't bear the pain if they accidentally touched her wounds, the two would also not be able to do anything other than to sit and wait for her pain to subside, before trying again.
However, every time Gina said that she was already okay, the moment they tried to hold her up, a growl of pain would still escape her mouth.
Finally, Gina couldn't bear it anymore. She doesn't want to be the cause of her friend's demise. Their sister was in that house right now, suffering from a severe fever. She doesn't want to delay her medication, just because she couldn't get up and was a burden. She said towards the two. "You can leave me here first. Just deliver the medicine first and come back to fetch me up. I'm still alive and kicking but Maria wouldn't be able to last that much."
Sarah replied instantly after hearing Gina. "No, we won't leave you here. If I have to make you faint, I will do it, just so we carry you back without a problem."
Gretta then followed suit. "Yes, I will also stay if you decide not to leave with us."
Gina shakes her head in defeat. She suddenly felt afraid of Sarah, her method was quite forceful. "Alright, alright. I'll follow you two. I'll just ignore the pain and you two should do the same too. Don't mind me."
"Okay, but you should rest for a little while first..." Sarah was not able to finish her sentence as the voice of a man, who suddenly appeared out of thin air, interrupted her.
"Where?"
Gretta and Sarah jumped back in fright while Gina's eyes bulged in shock.
A man suddenly appeared out of thin air on Gretta and Sarah's back. He was wearing a black long sleeve hoodie, black pants and a black piece of clothing was covering his face.
He was wearing black colored clothes all over his body and if it were not due to the fact that they heard a voice, and with the two meters distance between them, they wouldn't be able to spot him.

Nile was at their back, standing with his arms crossed on his chest.
He didn't go that far earlier and he was able to hear their conversation. With that conversation, Nile was able to know of their true nature.
He suddenly remembered the Village Chairman, Marlin, and his troops all of a sudden. He wondered where they are right now. Are they still at the Village of Malibo or have they moved already. He hopes to see them again.
Knowing their nature is good, Nile decided to lend a hand. His policy, after all, was to kill his enemies without mercy. The three women were not his enemy. Instead, they could be considered as accomplices as he aided them in killing that man named Jacob.
Seeing them struggle like that, he wanted to offer help and escort them to their destination.
It was already nearing midnight but due to the interruption earlier, Nile was no longer in the mood to sleep.
"Where to?" Nile asks again.
Gretta yelped in surprise before pointing her trembling hand to Nile. "Ahh, he... he was the one who killed Jacob!"
Sarah regained her calm and said. "Thank you for killing Jacob." She then bowed her head to show her gratitude.
Gina also said thanks. Weakly, Gina asks, "What do you mean where to?"
"I heard your conversation earlier. Just wanted to offer help. I could let you ride in my pet, carabao. " Nile said as he pointed the carabao at his back.
Gretta was about to agree immediately but Gina and Sarah beat her to it.
"I refuse!"
Gina and Sarah said at the same time.
After what had happened earlier, they no longer wanted to trust strangers easily. They were grateful to Nile for killing Jacob but it doesn't mean they already trusted him.
Nile was taken aback by their answer. He recalled something along those lines from his previous world. It was when he wanted to submit his thesis proposal to his adviser. However, before his adviser even saw his proposal, she immediately said, 'Rejected!'
That rejection, wasn't it the same as now?
Nile didn't have the courage to refute his adviser before, but now the rejection was made by these two women.
"Why?" Nile asks.
Sarah answered emotionally. "Because we don't know you. Jacob was the same, we trusted him. But now, look at the situation we were in."
Hearing that, Nile shrugged his shoulders. "Okay then. Up to you!"
Well, he just wanted to help. If they didn't want any help, then it was alright. He doesn't have a plan of defending himself. If he were in their shoes, Nile would surely think the same. Besides, he was not compelled to help them anyway.
Nile then turned around and was about to leave when he heard a shout from his back.
"Wait! Please wait a moment!"
Gretta said in a hurry. When she saw that Nike stopped and turned again, she immediately moved towards Sarah and Gina.
"Why did you reject him, instantly," Gretta said weakly, as if afraid to let Nile hear it. Not knowing that due to his enhanced hearing, Nile was still able to hear their conversation.
"We can't trust him, Gretta! Look at what happened to us after trusting Jacob." Sarah said.
"I know, but think of it, if he really wanted to do something bad to us, he should've done it already. He can even kill Jacob with one strike, how much us." Gretta said in defense.
Sarah and Gina were surprised by how aggressive Gretta was right now. This didn't happen before.
"You got a point. But..."
"No buts, please listen to me. Let's trust him and let him help us."
Gina and Sarah saw how determined Gretta was. As what she said also got a point, they decided to follow.
Both of them then turned their heads towards Nile.
"We're sorry for the outright rejection. We just really can't afford to trust strangers again."
Gretta had also already turned her body around before bowing her head towards Nile. "Please help us!"
Gina and Sarah also made a bow and said the same thing.
However, they soon enlarge their eyes in surprise. Because Nile's reply was opposite to their expectation.
"I refuse!"
An awkward silence prevailed in the air as the three women knitted their brows in confusion.
Inside their minds, they were probably thinking of something like,
'Who was asking for help again?'
Nile smirked under his mask and said,
"Just kidding!"

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
