Into The Zombie World Chapter 96

Pushing the broken door, Nile stepped inside the house. He turned and came inside the room. What greeted Nile's eyes was the body of Maximo, lying on the cold floor.
He inspected Maximo using the stats function. The description made Nile's blood boil. He gritted his teeth as he gripped the two swords tightly.
Maximo was severely injured and almost exhausted to death. In the description, what angered Nile the most was Maximo's eye being damaged.
Using 10 Apocalypse Points, Nile healed Maximo's wounds all over his body. Unfortunately, his eyes were already damaged beyond repair. Just like Croco's tail before, it could be healed, but it would no longer regrow.
Maximo's wounds were all healed now, his eyes were also healed, but unfortunately, he could no longer see anything. There was a scar on that part of his eye. Maximo had still not awakened yet due to him exhausting all his energy from the fight.
Nile kneeled and caressed Maximo's scarred eye. Nile then gets up, and while dragging the two swords, he stepped towards the woman and stepped her guts out.
The woman was covered with blood, especially the area where her hands were located.
He sheathed the Katana of Liberation while he held the Kriegsmesser of Agony on his right.
Nile opened the woman's mouth and forcefully fed her with a rejuvenating lollipop, healing all her minor wounds within five minutes.
He picked the woman up and raised her light body in the air. Using the Kriegsmesser of Agony, Nile made a light cut on the woman's cheek, causing her to wake up in shock.
Feeling the unbearable pain, the woman trembled before making a scream. The wound on her sliced hand was no longer bleeding profusely due to the light healing that the lollipop brought. However, after her forceful scream, the injury was starting to burst again as blood began to spurt out from the wounded area.
Nile did not let the woman's scream as he moved his hands and covered her mouth.
Only a muffled noise could be heard as Nile inserted his sword, the Kriegsmesser of Agony, to the various parts of the woman's body. The woman's eyes were streaming with tears as she did her best to scream, but because of Nile's hand covering her mouth, only muffled noise could be heard.
Nile healed and tortured the woman repeatedly. Although her agonized expression was not pleasant to see, Nile endured it and did his best to enact revenge for Maximo.

According to Croco, he was already on his way to killing the woman when Maximo held him back and told him to back Nile immediately.
Maybe the other reason why he stopped Croco from killing the woman was so that Nile could kill the woman himself. Max might have also done it so that Nile could torture the woman for his stead.
Nile threw the body of the woman outside the window. There were cuts all over her body, making it no longer recognizable.
For the woman's torture, Nile even went as far as using three rejuvenating lollipops so that she would not die that quickly.
Nile had instructed Croco to guard outside the house. He knew that the woman would scream for what he was about to do. Croco was the lookout for troubles that might have arisen due to those noises. Fortunately, nothing seems to happen as Croco did not report something to him.
Nile called Croco and told him to come inside the room. He then healed Croco's wound for 5 Apocalypse Points.
Nile sheathed the Kriegsmesser and sat beside Maximo's body. He then noticed the two severed hands not far from the carabao's head. Besides, the two severed hands were the dagger that was dripped with blood.
Nile recalled, and he realized that it was the dagger from before. The dagger that had almost stabbed Croco's bottom tail.
"Fuck!"
Nile cursed himself out loud upon realizing that Maximo's current situation was, in the end, all his fault.
How could he forget to store the dagger inside the Storage Space? Why did he rush out just to wait above the tree for a few minutes?
"Argghh!"
Nile clutching his head in anger. In the end, it was all his fault. Nile heavily panted as he caressed Maximo's scarred eye. Nile wanted to hurt himself as punishment for being forgetful. However, after thinking things through, he realized that it would not do him any good. Maximo would not like it either. And besides, Croco was nudging his back affectionately, clearly trying to console his downhearted owner.
Nile lays down on the cold floor as he uses Maximo's belly as a pillow. He whispered under his breath as his eyelids started to shut. "I'm sorry, Max."
Croco snuggled and made himself comfortable on Nile's foot.
...
Nile's body trembled slightly as he opened his eyes abruptly. He was sweating bullets as his heart beats like a drum.
Glancing around, he realized that it was only a dream. In that dream, he was tortured while Maximo and Croco were boiled alive in a huge pot. Numerous men and women circled them as they chanted inaudible words that seemed like a ritual.

"Pheww!"
Nile heaves a sigh of relief as he wipes the sweat on his forehead. Glancing outside the window, Nile realized that it was already morning.
He glanced to the side and noticed Maximo still sleeping soundly. Croco was on his feet snoring, but as if noticing Nile's gaze, Croco woke up and looked around alertly. When he realized that it was only Nile, Croco lowered his guard as he nudged Nile's legs.
Nile smiled and stroked Croco's forehead, making the animal feel happy. Nile also caressed Maximo's head affectionately as he recalled his mistakes yesterday.
Nile then shook his head after mulling it over again. Although he made a mistake, he also learned a valuable lesson this time. Think things carefully, and don't forget a single detail.
Even though he could not guarantee that he would no longer make a mistake, at least, Nile promised to learn from those mistakes.
Nile called the System and muttered stats to inspect himself. He recalled that he spent quite a lot of Apocalypse Points yesterday.
Host: Nile
Level One°
Will: 11.05
Constitution:10.55
Energy: 10.55(8.30)
Weapon:
Level One° Sledge Hammer
Level One° Katana of Liberation
Level One° Sniping Slingshot
Level One° Exploding Bullet: 4 pcs.
Level One° Kriegsmesser of Agony
Talent:
Level One° Weapons Master
Level One° Dual Wielding.
Level One° Mount Riding.
Level One° Master of Close Combat.
A.P.: 235.5
L.P.(Level Points): 0
Nile noticed that his energy was still not full, realizing the reason why he was still feeling a bit tired. Only half remains from the over 400 Apocalypse Points after a night of spending. Fortunately, the Master of Close Combat was permanent and not some one-time consumable items. If it were, Nile would surely cry for spending too much.
Well, it's not that Nile was regretting it. If the event were repeated, he would still do the same. Of course, if it were really repeated, the outcome would not be as bad.
Nile then realized that his loss was too much. Excluding the remaining items and permanent talent he bought, he lost more than a hundred Apocalypse Points.
Nike shakes his head and recalls the System Mission. If he accepted the mission and really escaped, his gains would have been better. However, if he did accept it, then Croco would no longer be here.
[Croco(Pet): Middle Stage Level One° Mutated Crocodile°
Spikey Armored Back
Metalized scales.
Front Arm-Blades.
Status: Successfully Evolved to Middle Stage Level One° animal. Adapting to the changes.
Upgrade Requirement: Not Available Yet.
]
Nile nodded his head as he inspected Croco. After the evolution, his scales were now shining with a metallic luster. His arms were now mounted with two sharp blades. The two blades could even be folded if Croco was out of battle.
Nile then browses through the store and spends the 35 Apocalypse Points for their breakfast. Usually, he would only spend as much as 5 Apocalypse Points for their leisure. However, after what had happened yesterday, he decided to reward himself and his two pets with a small feast.
Maximo had already awakened. He was now munching on the grass that Nile bought from the System. Croco was nibbling a piece of meat, while Nile was slurping hot and spicy noodles.
Nile especially chose the noodles as his food as it has the function of healing wounds over time. Maximo and Croco's food was also similar for having the function of healing wounds over time.
After eating their breakfast, they rested for an hour to let the food do the work and heal their remaining injuries. Nile then bought a set of clothing for himself as his Level One° clothes were already tattered from the fight yesterday.
He only bought some above normal clothes this time. He was already close to leveling up, and he realized that it would be wasteful if he bought some clothes that have a strong defense, and then discarding it after leveling up.
Learning his lesson, he bought a black long sleeve hoodie, black track pants, and a black face mask to cover his face.
The clothes only have slight defensive properties and didn't have the previous clothes function of cleaning themselves automatically. The same could be said for the face mask as it no longer has the function of auto-opening if Nile eats or spit something out.
'How inconvenient' Nile muttered under his breath.
He changed his clothes and sauntered outside the house. Maximo and Croco followed behind him, teasing each other.
They started to search for the whole village for some zombies while hoping not to encounter any survivors anymore.

The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them.
