Into The Zombie World Chapter 77

After a few minutes of sprinting, Nile and his two mounts arrived at the Hamlet of Mangga, the first Hamlet of the Kahoy Village.
(Kahoy= Tree. Mangga= Mango.)
Nile stared at the enormous mango tree in the middle of the Hamlet. The mango tree was at least twenty meters in height, that was only in Nile's estimate, it could be more.
Unfortunately, it was not a mango season yet so Nile could not grab some mangoes on this enormous tree. Just like the coconut fruit from before, Nile believed that the fruit of the mutated mango will also taste more delicious compared to his previous world.
Maximo and Croco were searching the whole hamlet for some zombies to kill. Nile gave the crocodile earlier the simple name Croco, he thought that it was a hassle calling it crocodile all the time.
At first, Nile only instructed Croco to search the whole Hamlet, but Maximo joined in the fun, not wanting to lose. Nile was then left behind alone, and as he wandered in the Hamlet, he saw this mango tree in the distance. Expecting a fruit, Nile went to the mango tree eagerly but became disappointed afterwards. The mango tree doesn't have any fruit, it wasn't even flowering, how could it bear fruit?
As he had nothing to do, Nile sat at the massive root of the mango tree and leaned back to relax. After a while, he received a System prompt inside his head.
[Your Pet Croco has successfully killed a Level One° Apocalypse Virus.
Level One° Apocalypse Virus Converted into 5 Apocalypse Points.]
Nile could not help but smile after reading the System prompt.
Making his pets do the labour while he himself is only relaxing at this mango tree. It doesn't sound so bad, isn't it?
Nile shook his head. If he's not racing for time, then it will be a good idea, but knowing that there are powerful zombies, animals, and humans out there, he should not relax even a little.
Nile stood up abruptly. There are times for leisure, and it was during the night. The sun is still bright, meaning he is still on his working hours.
After he stood up, Nile heard a System Prompt again, this time it was Maximo who killed a Level One° zombie. Nile was just about to search for the two, but he suddenly saw them in the distance running rapidly towards him.

Maximo and Croco were running side by side as if they were in a race. Nile smiled and could only shake his head on the sight. They are his pet, but they are competing with each other.
Both of them were still galloping fervently, having no intention to stop. They are heading straight towards Nile's location, but Nile is still as calm as usual.
When the two mounts are only two meters away from him, Nile unexpectedly leaps towards them. Grabbing Maximo's horn, Nile jumped and mounted the running Maximo directly.
"To the next Hamlet Max.", Nile said as he flicked the reins to encourage Maximo to run faster.
The skill of jump mounting, Nile definitely could not do it before. But because of the System's free reward, he was able to learn it.
[Level One° Mount Riding Talent: Do you often fall when you ride your mount? Then learn the Mount Riding Talent and ride your mount like it was your own leg. Master the act of riding any kind of mount by learning this talent. Become one with your mount, and ride like a pro. ]
Maximo bolstered Croco by his side. Their destination is the next Hamlet of Village Kahoy, Hamlet Narra.
(Narra is the National Tree of the Philippines.)
On the way to the next Hamlet, Nile spotted a zombie in the middle of the road. The zombie was a bulky female with a short height. The zombie was missing an arm on its left side. It stared at the incoming trio savagely. It intends to ambush them. It was the zombie's usual tactic, and it had already succeeded multiple times in its robbery business.
The one-armed female zombie shrieks violently as a warning.
Unfortunately for the one-armed female zombie, Maximo and Croco were still having the race of their life. Seeing the zombie blocking their race track, Maximo and Croco were infuriated. They stared at each other before nodding as if they comprehended what the other side meant. With that, they even run even faster than before.
Maximo was the first to arrive, and he immediately made use of the momentum from the race to ram the zombie blocking its way.
The zombie did not let Maximo do what he wanted and stepped to the side to dodge the incoming attack; the zombie was pleased by its successful dodge. It was about to make a counterattack but it failed to remember that there are two of them, no, three of them including Nile.

Croco who purposely slowed down to make their plan work made a leap towards the head of the one-armed female zombie who dodges to the side to avoid Maximo's attack. It failed to notice Croco who was also approaching rapidly, Croco leapt and directly beheaded the zombie with a bite.
A System Prompt appeared inside Nile's head. It was the System Prompt informing him of the successful kill from Croco.
Maximo did not stop for even a second when the zombie successfully dodged its attack, Maximo knew that Croco would be able to pull it off. And indeed, Croco succeeded in killing the zombie directly, with little difficulty. Croco continues to run while he spits the female zombie's head to the ground as if in disgust.
Nile nodded his head and felt satisfied with his mount's coordination. It seems that they will compromise and help each other if they see a common adversary.
Maximo's level is a little higher than Croco. Maximo is already Middle Stage Level One°, while Croco is still at Early Stage Level One°. Still, Croco was still able to run along with Maximo without getting left behind. It showed that Croco's speed is greater than Maximo.
But with the gap that the instant battle generated, Croco was now on Maximo's tail, doing its best to catch up. Unfortunately, Croco was not able to do so as they had already arrived in the vicinity of Hamlet Narra.
Unlike before, Nile did not relax for even a bit. He instructed the two pets to explore the Hamlet and search for zombies. If there is, he instructed the two pets to kill the zombie directly. He also warned them if there is a dangerous zombie, do not hesitate to roar for help, even if it will also attract potential dangers, they will also be able to reinforce their team and fight side by side.
Nile moved towards the opposite direction and made his own exploration.
With the tree of them joining hands to explore the Hamlet, it was only a matter of time before they finished with the whole area.
The people of the Hamlet of Narra planted Narra trees to form a circle on their Hamlet, the Narra Trees acted as the boundary for their small community within the Hamlet of Narra. The houses are situated in the middle of the towering Narra Trees.
It did not take them more than thirty minutes to gather again at the entrance of the Hamlet of Narra. In particular, they gathered at the biggest Narra Tree of the Hamlet of Narra. It was the biggest and the tallest of all the Narra Tree making it easy to spot from a distance. It was the perfect place to become the rendezvous point.
Maximo and Croco were still competing in who can find and kill a zombie first. Maximo, in particular, was very active and searched for zombies seriously. It must be because he had lost to Croco before on the Hamlet of Mangga.
Unfortunately, Maximo returned empty-handed. From the three of them, it was only Nile who managed to kill an elderly woman zombie. After knowing that Croco also did not manage to kill some zombie, Maximo's mood lifted a little. Maximo giggles while he stares at the dejected Croco.
The zombie that Nile had killed was only a Level One° zombie, and Nile saw it having a feast on the body of an elderly man.
The elderly man's lower body had only bones left, Nile could tell that it was an elderly man based on its white hair and wrinkled face which had not been touched by the zombie.
Nile inspected the elderly woman zombie using the 'stats' function. It was no surprise that it did not eat the elderly man's face. The elderly woman zombie had awakened some of its memories. Nile presumed that the elderly man was the elderly woman's husband.
The elderly woman zombie only had a minimal strength, Nile decided to end her suffering and let her join her husband in the afterlife.
Nile killed the elderly woman zombie without any effort.
After seeing the gory scene of the zombie wife eating its husband's lower body, Nile could not help but reanalyze something he overlooked.
It seems that Level One° zombies also need to eat aside from the Apocalypse Virus they had absorbed. That must be the prime reason why they will cease what they are doing just to kill a human that they have sighted.

Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero (Update 09/19/21)
(Updated 09/19/21) Hello and welcome. If you made it this far and the book title sounds interesting, I'm hoping you'll read a few chapters. Here's a sample from chapter 1 of "Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero."Slowly starting to wake up, I become aware. It's like coming out of a fog.Head hurts.Body hurts. There's a conversation in the room. This isn't my bed. Someone is touching my arm. I crack my eyes to look. She doesn't notice. Is she praying for me? Her hands do feel good…do feel... Slipping back unconscious, my eyes slowly close. I didn't notice the soft green glow under Jenn’s hands.*******************"It does look like he saved them or at least stalled them long enough for us to get there." says the man dressed more like a park ranger than an officer of the law. "I did think he was part of it at first" he continues "but the evidence shows he wasn't there and they were certainly fighting on that back road where we found them""I don't care who he is." says a woman as she enters the room. "He saved and protected my Jenn. I will make sure there's not a mark or a scar on him before he leaves". As she continues the few steps over to the men speaking, even though dressed simply in common clothes, there is no doubt the race of elves is in her heritage. The grace and lines of her form. The elegance and lightness of her step. She glances at her daughter, still watching over the young man in the bed. "Do we know who he is yet?" she asks no one in particular."Not yet dear" a man in a white coat responds. A handsome middle-aged man. Fit, but not that of a fighter or ranger. "I asked Talon to bring another identification stone with him. I was hoping ours was just broke, but it's reading the same.""What do you think is wrong?" Talon asks."I'm thinking we just have to wait until he recovers. I have heard of cases where the stone didn't work. Powerful spells can hide or wipe a person clean. I doubt he's a spy or a criminal. Spells like that are just too high level if, they're used at all. My best guess is, there is just some disconnect with him being unconscious. When he wakes, we can ask him or use the stone again then."I find myself waking up in a hospital bed. The attending Doctor finds it odd that he cannot identify my class. An Officer says I’m a Hero for saving a girl from being kidnapped, but he’s asking too many questions for my liking. I know an accusing tone when I hear it. I don’t remember any of it and I need to find my way home.Author’s notes. Original work. First draft and update of chapters 1-16. Inspired by various fantasy games and books. Written with a focus on character development and interaction. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. Almost fifty chapters are completed as I pen this introduction. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. The tentative release schedule will be once a week. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6

Gamble
My name is Vak Tychus. Aside from the, regrettably striking name, there were very few things I'd judge, that made me - me. The name had to do with chance or fate. My last name was Latin, derived from the Latinized name Eutychus which was the combination of two Greek words corresponding to "good" and "luck, chance, and fortune." Now that you know why I'm so unhealthily and exceedingly prone to gambling I can begin to teach you why exactly I love it so much. There's a handful of things you'd have to know to really appreciate how to gamble. You'd be surprised at how much you can learn in two decades supposing you stuck with it your entire life. Although, there are some stark differences between betting a handful of cash and your life against monstrous creatures intent on your blood. Well, you learn a thing or two, if you can believe it. Here, in fact, we can start with the first one: Taking a risk. Try it now and start reading.
