Into The Zombie World Chapter 20

BANG!
Along with the sound of the shotgun being fired, half of the Level One° zombie's head exploded into a mush.
To be safe, Nile stored the shotgun on his Storage Space, stepped forward, and then summoned the kitchen knife that he picked up from the teller zombie from before, and plunged it into the head of the Level One° zombie.
It was only after seeing the body of the zombie fall to ground did Nile relax a little. With the commotion that had happened, he did not doubt that there would be more zombies coming here.
With his current state, a dislocated arm, and depleted energy. He dared not think what would happen if he was surrounded by multiple zombies even if they are only Level Zero°. Though he had already cleared the road from zombies earlier, that was only the road after all.
He did guess right, as outside the wall, he could already see dozens of Level Zero° zombies limply walking towards his direction.
Without delaying any further, he approached and closed the gate that he had opened earlier before returning to the location where the Level One° zombie body was lying.
He retrieved the kitchen knife and stored it in his Storage Space. He then looked at the zombie's brain matter and spotted an almost solidified jelly-like greenish substance. As he was already aware of what that thing was, he picked it up immediately and ran towards the inside of the small mansion.
As the small mansion was where the Level One° zombie Counselor had evolved from, Nile was confident that there would be no living zombies inside.
For the Half-step Level One° zombies outside, Nile thinks that because the genuine Level One° zombie Councilor no longer needs those weaker Apocalypse Virus, it may have recruited them to be its underling. It's just Nile's little guess though.

...
Inside, what greeted Nile was the previous sight that immediately lets him conclude that there was already a Level One° zombie or soon to become Level One° zombie inside.
The bodies of zombies lying here and there, with their head pried open and brain matter gushing out, was what made Nile come to the conclusion. As it is also the reason why he thinks that there would be no more living zombies inside as the Level One° zombie Counselor must have already finished them all.
As the small mansion was a two storey building, he decided to go into the 2nd floor and search for a room for himself.
He was not in a hurry as he knows that the gate will last for a long time. Besides, the Level Zero° zombies will start to wander around without aim again if they could perceive another commotion in the same location.
The only thing that made him worried was that a Level One° zombie might appear suddenly and blast the gate open with a kick or a punch.
After a minute or so, Nile found a room that was cleaner than the rest. He sat in the bedroom and inspected the System Prompt that appeared earlier when he picked up the almost solidified jelly like substance.
[Level One° Apocalypse Virus harvested.
Converted into 5.0 Apocalypse Points
]
A Level Zero° Apocalypse Virus can be converted into 0.5 Apocalypse Point, while a Level One° Apocalypse Virus. can be converted into 5 Apocalypse Points. As the Level One° Apocalypse Virus was much denser in quality and quantity than the Level Zero° Apocalypse Virus., its conversion was reasonable.
After reading the System Prompt, another System Prompt that he had been waiting previously appeared on his mind.
[Obtained enough Apocalypse Virus for a breakthrough.

The Host must note that it will be a little painful.
Would the host like to break through now?
Yes/No?
]
Of course Nile will choose Yes. But before that, Nile glanced at the full bodied mirror that was located at the side of the bed. And what he saw made him dumbfounded.
Only a day had passed and his body was no longer the 'skin and bones' that he had been.
He may have not noticed it previously, but every time the System distributes the dead Apocalypse Virus on his body, his body will increase in size and mass.
Right now, he already looks like a little hulk with his bulging muscles. He also appears to be taller. His body was already bulky right now. The hoodie and the pants that he wears are already tight. His face was already back on the previous one, the time before the Apocalypse happened. And as he already knew, his face was only average and has no striking features.
Just how many hours have already passed since he last saw his previous body's state? And now, this is what he looks like.
This was all because of the Apocalypse Virus, and also because of the System's instantaneous distribution of the Apocalypse Virus throughout his body. Without any one of that, he doubts if he could achieve this current body transformation within a month?
Nile felt glad that the System had paused the distribution of Apocalypse Virus on his body. Because if the System did not, he thought that his body might've already exploded by now.
After seeing this, Nile was also a little worried that after evolving to Level One°, will his body really be like the hulk? No, I don't like those body types.
'System? Help?' Nile sounded uncertain on his head. But, the System did not let him worry any further as it stated calmly.
[The host need not to worry. As the System is here to help the Host. The current body state of the Host is only temporary. After the evolution into a Level One° human, the System will make the Host's body shape the best it could be. More compress and compact, hence attaining the best muscle strength, fluidity, elasticity, flexibility and endurance in preparation for all the Talents that the Host would learn in the future.
]
'Pheww! I'm glad! I'm glad!' Nile patted his chest with his left arm while exhaling deeply.
Nile then commanded on his head. 'System, how long would the breakthrough process last?'
[The breakthrough process into a Level One° human will only last 5 minutes.
]
'Alright, System start the breakthrough process now.' Nile laid on the bed while saying this.
[Affirmative Host!
