Into The Zombie World Chapter 16

After killing the remaining zombies, Nile proceeded towards the zombies who were lying around the streets. These zombies are the ones that had many injuries on them making them unable to move, leaving them just lying on the road. Some of them were already dead while some of them were still twitching from time to time as if announcing that they are still alive and kicking.
He guessed that the injury these zombies got might have come from the fleeing humans right after the apocalypse started. They are humans who have resisted the attack of the Apocalypse Virus, hence allowing them to escape the curse of becoming one of the living dead.
Nile was only at Hamlet so the population was not that many so one could say the people around here were either at least familiar with everyone. Some of them might have recognized the zombies from before the apocalypse and hence the reason why they only crippled them.
As Nile(Previous) was an orphan, after graduating High School he did not go into any college and decided to find work instead. He was living quite well after working on a fast food chain in the City.
Five years later, the First Virus struck hence the reason why the government issued an order to forcefully stop some industries to stop or at the least stop the spreading of the virus. They ordered all of the people to stay quarantined and only go outside to buy essential items or foods.
Even the workers did not escape this order as they could only wait in their respective house, getting bored while waiting for the quarantine to get lifted.
As Nile was only boarding a small apartment near his working site, coupled with his cowardly nature, he decided to buy a small room in this desolate Hamlet, Palma.

He was already living in this area for a few months but he barely knew the residents of this Hamlet called Palma. And those bare few that he knew were either important figures such as the councilor as well as the cashier that he often saw.
Before transmigrating over, Nile was also an orphan who lived by himself. However, he was not someone who would give up just because of his low starting point. In order to afford his college, he worked at different places for part time jobs. In his relaxation time, he would read web novels and manga online.
However, even with him working his ass off while still going to class everyday, he would still not be able to pay the high price of college courses. In order to finally escape that problem, he applied for a college scholarship in which he managed to clenched just barely. And the salary he received on working part time will be spent on his daily needs and wants, and of course, to unlock some locked web novel chapters as well as buying some items for his mobile and pc games.
...
There are 27 zombies lying around, Nile approaches them one by one, killing those who are still alive. He then collected the Apocalypse VIrus from each of their heads by dipping his forefinger deep into their brain..
For those who are already dead, he split their head open and of course, slid his forefinger inside making his finger wet, and also collected the already dead Apocalypse Virus.
He did not feel an ounce of sympathy towards these zombies. He knew that if they weren't crippled, they would surely pounce on him directly to get a taste of his brain.
He just felt unfortunate that the dead zombies only give him the Apocalypse Points and not any increase on his stats. According to the System, as they have been dead for some time already, the dead Apocalypse Virus inside their brain had already started to dissipate, and after some time, they will cease to exist and what would be left will just be the rotting body of the human it previously hosted.

Of those zombies lying around, only 10 were still alive and the 17 were already dead.
After collecting the Apocalypse Virus, these are now what;s on Nile's status.

A.P.: 16.5
L.P.(Level Points): 0
]
His 'Will' had now broken through the 5.0 threshold.
5.0 means his 'Will' is now at Level One°. His body is now also stronger, he will just need to kill a few more and he will immediately be considered as Level One° human. His Apocalypse Point was also now at 16.5 meaning, after becoming a Level One° human, he can immediately buy a weapon at the System Store. He also needs to consider the Talent Store, so he decided to save his A.P. and buy a Talent after saving some A.P..
...
Nile glanced at the butcher knife, although only a few hours had passed since the first time he started his killing, the butcher knife was already dulled, and even have some cracks on its blade. With the blood of the zombies painted on its blade, the butcher knife looks like it just came out from the meat market.
His hands are also drench with the zombies blood, his forefinger and middle finger in particular have darker red in color than the rest, as they are the ones that he used to poke the zombies brain to collect the Apocalypse Virus.
Nile took the previous kitchen knife that was etched on the teller zombies head. It was the System who made the attack so it was only natural that the strength used on that attack was stronger than what he could currently muster. The knife getting embedded on the teller zombie's brain was proof of that.
After pulling it out, he notices that its tip was already broken and cannot be used as a piercing tool. Its blade was also slightly bent, but still, Nile decided to take this knife and stored it inside his Storage Space.
Before walking in the direction of the councilor's house, Nile first checked the various houses to inspect if there were still zombies inside. He expected that there might be some, even hoping that even a dead one would do, as these can still increase his Apocalypse Point. He inspected the house one by one but to no avail.
Nile thought that it was normal, the people residing in those houses must have already moved towards another location, to seek protection or to search for some food. It was already 2 months after the Apocalypse started after all.
While inside the houses, he also made sure to search for foods and weapons that he might be able to use. Unfortunately, he was not able to spot any food that could still be eaten as most of them had already turned spoiled with fungus growing above them. He also only spotted some kitchen and butcher knives and after some deliberation, he decided to take two of them as extra weapons.
