Into The Zombie World Chapter 11

It was already dark outside so he decided to stop looking for the System's other functions.
He decided to eat dinner first, the extreme hunger he felt before was not a joke. He doesn't want to experience that ever again. As he only had a small amount of food, he decided to eat them sparingly. Even if he had a System, he knew he could not afford to waste food.
After inspecting the various features of the System, he was elated after knowing that the System had its own food store. As long as he had the right amount of Apocalypse Points, he would no longer need to worry about being hungry again.
The prices of the foods inside the System Store vary depending on what kind of food it is. The prices range from 1 or more Apocalypse Points. With his measly 0.5 Apocalypse Points, he could only stare at them with saliva dripping on his mouth.
Aside from having a Food Store, the System also has another function called Storage Space, and something that is called a Talent Store.
The storage space, just like what the name implies is a space where he can store his belongings. It is a magical space, he could store his things in there without bearing the weight.
He quite likes the function as he thought it was very convenient. Without carrying things, he will now have an easier time moving around. This function could also avoid the situation earlier where the teller zombie pounced on him due to hearing the sound produced by the plastic handbag he was carrying.
The Talent Store sells all kinds of Talent, the System even said that with enough Talent, he can wield any weapon he wants just like having an extra limbs.
These talents can also be upgraded to be more deadly and more useful in the future. The System said that as he Levels up, his talents will also have to cope up, because every time he levels up, he becomes stronger and the talents that he learned from the previous level will not be able to cope up with the strength and speed of his body if they were not updated..

[Talent Store:
Level One° Knife Talent - Allows the Host to wield any kinds of Knife more naturally.
/20 A.P.
Level One° Staff Talent - Allows the Host to wield any kind of Staff more naturally.
/20 A.P.
Level One° Close Combat Talent- Allows the Host to fight in close combat more naturally.
/20 A.P.]
The list goes on until he could see another row of Talents that are in the category of Level Two°.
At the end of the Level One° talents, there are more deadly talents that Nile had set his eyes on, just like the Shooting Talent that could make him the ultimate marksman. But this kind of talent is also more expensive than the Talents displayed earlier.
The Weapons Store also has guns for sale, but they are also more expensive than normal level one weapons. He was also notified by the System that with his current Level and strength, he could not wield any of these Weapons or acquire any of these talents, he needed to level up first. He's still at Level Zero° at the moment after all.
He asks the System why it was not selling any Level Zero° Weapons or Talents. The System replied that Level Zero° are for mortals, these are the weapons and talents that could be found in everyday life even before the apocalypse started.
For example, the kitchen knife that he used before was in the category of Level Zero° weapon, it is the same for the Talents.
And for Level One°, the System considered it as a Stronger Mortal, those were the weapons that the System imbued with powers and they will be slightly stronger than the Level Zero° ones but the gap is not that excessive.
He also asked the System that if he could strengthen his body with Apocalypse Virus, will there also be others that have already come up with the same idea? Especially the government, as they clearly know the real purpose of these viruses.

The System replied that it is possible, they can control these dead Apocalypse Virus to be distributed towards their body. But this process is not instant unlike what the System is doing, they will need to constantly distribute the dead Apocalypse Virus in every corner of their body.
After the dead Apocalypse Virus is removed from the brain, at the process of distributing it, it will slowly dissipate, hence, only a small portion of the dead Apocalypse Virus will be distributed towards the body and strengthen it. And just like the hibernating Apocalypse Virus, this process takes time.
According to the System, there are already people who broke through Level One, especially those who have stronger Will and those who have deep heritage. Those who practice certain manuals will also have an easier time adapting. Their advantage was apparent.
The System also said that there are people that are approaching or have even broken through Level Two°, being Level Three° already.
So the System has an extra reminder for Nile, the Host.
[Extreme care is needed, the Host must be wary of his surroundings as the zombies are not the only enemies that the Host might face.]
As it was already night time, Nile decided to sleep and rest first.
Because tomorrow, he will set foot in the outside world again, but this time, he already has a trump card.

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.
