The reason this continent was called Pangea was that there was only one government that managed the whole world, the 'Pangea Government that was situated in the center of all those islands.

According to the memories of the previous 'Nile,' before the Apocalypse happened, there was a strange virus that was circulating around the world, originating from the center of the Pangea Continent, and afterward, spread like wildfire to its surrounding islands.

This virus literally popped out of thin air. But even so, the government did its best to find a cure. However, the government, instead of curing the infected, made a wrong move. The medicine that was said to cure the infected went wrong and instead caused the Virus to mutate.

The mutation of the virus is actually the real cause of this Zombie Apocalypse.

This mutated virus attacked the brain of the infected, causing them to lose their reason and turn into zombies that would attack any living person they encountered.

If only all of the zombies are just like what Nile had seen outside, the government might not be as helpless as they are now. They have armed forces that can directly eliminate these slow-moving zombies, after all.

But the problem is, there are stronger zombies out there, and the one that is outside is only the most basic one. The stronger ones that 'Nile' saw on the news months ago can even withstand bullets. There is even one that directly destroyed a tank. Maybe these are the real reasons why the previous 'Nile' could only hide in cowardice.

Fortunately, when he just transmigrated, the ones outside his house were the most basic ones. If they were only slightly stronger, Nile would have been done for good.

Also, according to the news, those stronger zombies are the zombies who have consumed another zombie's brain.

Those zombies who attacked other zombies are the people who are gravely infected by the previous virus. Their mutation was more potent; making them stronger, more intelligent, and thus able to know that by consuming other zombie's brains, they could mutate further, allowing them to become stronger.

It was also mentioned in the news that zombies who could withstand bullets no longer needed to feed on other zombie's brains. Instead, they would turn their target or prey back to normal living people, just like those most basic zombies that Nile witnessed outside.

The reason for that was still unclear. Just like how the most basic of zombies do not attack other zombies and consume their brain, but only attack other living things instead, it is also unexplainable. Maybe in the future, an explanation will appear, but right now, all the people must focus on surviving first.

But one thing is for sure; those basic zombies could easily infect other people with a bite. Although those bulletproof zombies have not been seen infecting other people, they were instead seen consuming other people's brains.
