Rebound: A 2nd Chance Chapter 189

Jason turned around and smiled as he saw some familiar faces "Yo what's up guys? Been a while since we've seen each other."
It was the Silva twins. Danilo walked over to Jason and high fived him "It might have been a while since you've seen us but me and Alex have been watching you."
Alex walked over and patted his brother on the shoulder before high fiving Jason "Yeah, you really showed out at the county and state tournament.
Me and Danilo were really rooting for you guys. Too bad about the injuries man. If your squad was healthy then I definitely think that you could have made some serious noise at nationals."
Kyle walked over and smiled at the twins "Thanks. You guys were pretty good too. Definitely made us work hard for the win."
Alex and Danilo took a seat as they began to chat with Jason and Kyle. They talked about everything from what kind of shows they liked to watch to what kind of training they had done.
From the looks of it both Danilo and Alex had grown a few inches since the last time they had played against each other.
Danilo looked to be around 5'10 (1.77m) now while his brother Alex looked to be about 5'7 (1.7m). They had both changed their hairstyles as their hair was now cut short all around with a fresh fade on the sides.
Jason and Kyle's food arrived as they were talking with the twins. Jason and Kyle politely offered to share some but Alex and Danilo both respectfully declined.
They continued their conversation. They talked for another ten minutes as Jason finished up his double cheeseburger.
Just as he was going to reach out for his strawberry milkshake he heard another voice from behind him "Damn! Looks like I made it on time. I thought that I was going to be late for a second."
Jason, Kyle, and both of the twins turned around at the same moment. In their field of vision was a huge figure that seemed to make even Kyle look small.

3D's huge and bulky figure made its way toward Jason and Kyle. He stuck his fist out "Sup." Jason bumped 3D's fist back with his own and Kyle followed up and did the same.
Jason greeted "Sup man. Should have known that you would be here." Kyle added "Sup 3D. Sucks that I didn't get to finish up the game against you guys."
3D put his luggage down at the side as he took a seat "Yeah, real shame man. You and the muscle head were the only ones that could actually make things a little hard for me.
But congrats on getting into the top eight at the state tournament. This your first time going to a Nike camp?"
Jason, Kyle, and even the twins all nodded their heads in agreement. 3D pulled out a chocolate bar from his bag.
"Well have fun. The first day is normally exciting for newbies. But after a few years you get used to it."
Jason took a sip from his large strawberry milkshake "I forgot. You're a eighth grader right? This was your last year of middle school. Did you pick a high school already?"
3D ate his chocolate bar "Yeah. Kinda sucks that I couldn't get to nationals in my last year but it is what it is.
This is going to be my last time going to Nike's middle school training camp. Next year I'm going to start going to their high school training camps."
Danilo chuckled before turning his head to look at 3D "Sounds kinda cocky don't you think? Last time I checked Nike has to send you an invite for you to go."
3D crumpled up the wrapper in his hand before stuffing it into the side pouch of his bag "It's not cocky because I already know that Nike is going to send me an invite.
They send invites to the best high school players every year. That means that I'm going to get an invite next year and for the next three years after that.

You know what does sound cocky is talking to me like we're on the same level." Danilo leaned forward as he began to glare at 3D.
"The fuck you say? You think you're better than me?" 3D pulled out a bag of chips from his bag and ripped it open.
"I don't think I'm better than you. I know it. My team was the runner up in the county tournament. Your team didn't make it past the first round."
Danilo jumped to his feet as he clenched his fists tightly "If it wasn't for our shit eating teammates and dumb ass coach then we would have been the ones to play against Jefferson instead of you."
3D put a handful of chips into his mouth "Haha that's cute. I would have dropped a sixty piece on your guys' heads.
Jefferson had Kyle and the muscle head to guard me. Your team doesn't even have a Big half as good as them."
Danilo took a step toward 3D who was sitting a chair away from Jason. Alex stood up and put his hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Let's not do this Dlo. We're in a airport man, you wanna get kicked out? Not to mention that mom told you not to do anything stupid."
Danilo hesitated. He seemed to want to get in 3D's face but his brother's reminder about his mother's warning rang in his ear.
Seeing Danilo's hesitation 3D stood up and took a step toward the twins "What's wrong little guy? Your bark don't match your bite?"
Danilo brushed his brother's hand aside as he took a step toward 3D "Shut the fuck up you fat ass piece of shit!
If I really wanted to do anything to you I would just make you run a mile so that you would get a heart attack."
After hearing Danilo's shot at him 3D began to glare at him "Small dogs always bark the loudest huh? Why don't you try something tough guy?
I promise you. As soon as you touch me I'm smacking you so fuckin hard that the melanin disappears from your body. You're gonna wake up looking like an ugly ass piece of white dog shit."
There was only a arms length of distance between the two. The tension was palpable as they intensely stared at each other.
Just as things were looking bad a small figure pushed it's way between the two "You guys really need to check yourselves.
This is a airport with actual police officers around. You guys wouldn't make it past ten seconds before the police tackle your asses."
Danilo and 3D were both surprised to see that Jason had put himself between the both of them. Jason looked at Danilo.
"Just give it a rest Danilo. If you really want to get back at 3D then just wait till we're at the training camp. Hoopers should do their talking on the court."
Jason then turned his head and looked at 3D "And you. You don't have the space to be talking so much shit.
You talking like you're the second coming of Shaq, but last time I checked me and Kyle we're the ones that knocked you out of the county tournament?"
Danilo looked at Jason and thought about it for a second before putting his hands up and sighing "Alright. You got a point Jaya." He then took a seat.
3D looked at Jason for a moment. After a few seconds he sat back down also "You're lucky lil guy. If Jaya wasn't here you'd get a hell of an ass whoopin."
Even though the situation had been defused the atmosphere was still terrible. Kyle was fidgeting around in his chair as he looked at Jason "The mood is kinda wrecked. You got anything to fix that?"
Jason shrugged his shoulders "Nope. And I don't need to." Kyle looked at him questioningly "What do you mean?"
Jason then pointed to the electronic display "Our flight's ready. It's boarding time."
