Closed Beta That Only I Played Chapter 373

At the level 1500 hunting ground Land of Titan three days later.
Puck! Puck! Bang! Bang!
Like any other day I was absorbed into hunting as usual when a message rang.
Of course, I could figure out what it was about because there was only one thing that it could refer to now.
[Your opponent in the King of Kings contest to select the strongest guild has been decided.
-You will be transferred to the arena in 30 minutes.
-If the registered persons do not connect within 30 minutes, only those users who are connected will be moved to the arena. If more than two-thirds of the participants do not connect, it will be an automatic loss for the team.]
As soon as I heard the message, I immediately moved to the Myongjin Guild's in Rodon Castle. This event was upgraded to the extent that not only the winning event participants, but also their entire guild would receive some reward regardless of the number of people in the guild so I had no choice but to pay quite a lot of attention to it.
"Wow, Juyoung has come!"
When I arrived there, not only the other 29 members of Myongjin Team 1 but also many other people welcomed me vehemently. Of course, they were all Myongjin Guild members.
First of all, I returned their welcome by raising my hands because I didn't need to be cold to these people who were greeting me so warmly.
After that, I received enthusiastic support from them until I moved to the arena.
Soon the arena that I moved to and from so many times appeared before my eyes.
[You have three minutes of preparation time until the battle begins.
-During these three minutes, you can use and replace buffs and items.
-The guild that wins the battle automatically advances to the next round, and the guild that loses is eliminated from the event immediately.]

Along with the message, I could confirm my opponent through the transparent barrier in the center of the arena. But they were guys who I had already seen several times. They were none other than America's Holdridge Group
Since the transparent barrier did not block sound, I could hear their conversations.
"Damn it! We're so unlucky!"
Some of them expressed disappointment when they noticed me.
But there were others who greeted me warmly.
"Congratulations on your victory, Juyoung Hong!"
"Thank you."
Since they said they would give up voluntarily, I didn't have to say anything particular, so I appreciated their surrender by nodding slightly. As soon as they confirmed my gesture, they announced they would give up.
[Your opponent has abandoned the duel.
- You have won. You are moving to the next round.]
It was a very easy win.
Of course, not all teams gave up like the Holdridge Team.
"Ignore Asirante! Target those behind him instead!"
"Got it!"
"Yes, sir! Sandstorm!"
"Muddy Land!"
:
:
"Fire Spirit's Rage!"
"My body will be solid steel!"
The enemy gave up on attacking me, and charged at my family and guild members of the Myongjin Guild behind me instead. Of course, I knew that their desperate attacks were born out of despair, for they knew even if they got rid of those behind me, they would have to confront me at the end of the day. But even then, they could not give up on the reward so easily.
So I watched them fighting quietly.
Of course, it's true that I was a big part of the Myongjin Guild's strength but it didn't mean that the other Myongjin players were weak.
In particular, by securing all the hunting grounds including the level 1300 hunting ground from Japan's Mitsuya guild, the level 1400 hunting ground in Mongolia and the level 1500 hunting ground in Korea, the Myongjin Guild met all the requirements of a strong guild in name and reality. Moreover, numerous guys didn't stand in the way of Myongjin's growth because they didn't want to make me their enemy as I was the immediate family member of the Myongjin Guild and not just one of its ordinary members.

In other words, even without me, the current Myongjin members were strong enough.
They immediately began to counterattack.
"Soar! Hellfire that burns even the soul."
"Soar! Thick Wall of Land!"
"Iron wall!"
:
:
"Blow, Frosty Cold!"
"Blessings of life!"
Starting with my sister, who was a fire-type wizard, they began to attack.
Since their counterattack was more violent than initially anticipated, the enemies looked pretty startled. Of course, it didn't mean that my team members pushed them hard enough to break their fighting will. But I was satisfied with their fight.
My opponent was a strong team who won in their own region and came to this place after scoring a win for the second time. In other words, they were pretty strong.
Anyway, I didn't want to keep standing as an onlooker, so I charged at those guys who avoided me, and got rid of them one by one.
Even if I didn't use Blizzard or Ice Tornado, I had many other skills.
Soon my team defeated them all thanks to my help.
[You have won.
- You are now advancing to the next round.]
Starting with the Round of 40, my team advanced to the Round of 20, the Round of 10 and the Round of 5. Finally, we made it to the finals by even beating some teams without fighting.
The next day.
"Well..."
Although he was busy playing the dual role of Yuljung Kim of North Korea while doing his main job as the security chief of the Myongjin Shelter, Captain Lim always habitually checked the defense status of the Myongjin Shelter as well as the movement of monsters the previous night as soon as he woke up in the morning.
At first, he didn't take it seriously. Even though monsters appeared inside the shelter yesterday and the day after, it wasn't strange at all. As soon as the monsters appeared, he got rid of them right away, so there was no big damage to the shelter.
But last night monsters appeared both inside and outside Myongjin Shelter at the same time. What's more, there were some casualties among those living outside the shelter, so he had no choice but to frown because the incidents were becoming more and more frequent
But it was only three days that the monsters appeared in a row. Since he could not conclude that the monsters were appearing more frequently just because they did so three days in a row, Captain Lim could not take any action. All he could do was to tell his men to be more vigilant.
Moreover, tomorrow the Myongjin Team were going to participate in the final King of Kings match.
So, Captain Lim finished his job for the day after writing down the summary of how often and when the monsters appeared and their current status.
If monsters appeared even today when the King of Kings match was happening, nobody would think of it as a coincidence. And today, the most important event 'Strongest Guild Selection' event will be finally over, too.
The upcoming final match.
Strangely enough, there were not 60, but 90 people inside the arena where the final match would take place.
The event started with 40 teams at first, then went down to 20, 10, 5, and finally there were only three teams remaining because of our victory in the previous round due to the other party's surrender.
In other words, three teams were supposed to compete just like they did in the 'Strongest Player Selection' event.

“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.

The Nether Wolf [CURRENTLY ON HIATUS!]
THE AUTHOR IS TAKING SOME TIME OFF.NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SMALL HIATUS MENTIONED LATER ON THE DESCRIPTION. WRITING WILL RESUME LATER THIS MONTH (FEBRUARY). Don't you just hate it when you're walking home from school and you accidentally stumble into another dimension? And now you're stuck in there with no way out, thinking of what to do in this medieval kinda world. Well at least it seems safe...It seems that some people have problem with multiple POV (Point of View) characters and so I'm deciding to alter the description to mention, that sometimes in the story we see the world from other people's point of view than our MC's (Main Character). But there is a MC and the point of view changes are few, except for short point after the season 1 ends. These are mostly done to expand the world and introduce plot elements, nothing more. This story is written in manner of seasons, which aren't marked in the chapter titles and don't really affect your reading experience, but between the seasons are small, 2-7 day hiatuses so the writer can rest and plan.Oh, the website released a mature-content tagging rules, so here: Warning, Mature [17+] Violence, gore and occasional swearing. Mainly put it at 17+ so it doesn't restrict me, but story could be considered as 15+, no way 18+ though.
