Closed Beta That Only I Played Chapter 360

I thought we would be moved back to our reality right away after we escaped from the new continent.
However, after the light that surrounded me and the crowd of over 10,000 people disappeared, what I saw was a blank white space. And I was alone there.
Then a message rang.
[Lumen, Asirante is the 748th escapee from the new continent.
- You will receive the following reward for your escape.
: 252 coins.
:1 remaining stat point.]
Actually, it was the reward for the last escapee. As a result, the reward was pretty small.
Given that I spent as long as two months and 15 days in all the stages, I had no choice but to regard this reward as a big loss for me.
But I didn't have any regrets about it at all because this was not the main reward.
As if it knew what I was eagerly anticipating, another message about the main reward rang.
[Lumen, Asirante escaped from the new continent with 10,563 ordinary people.
- You will receive the following reward.
: 3 million golden rings x 10,563
: A small amount of EXP x 10,563
: 5 coins x 10,563
: 1 remaining stat point x 10,563 ]
The message kept ringing as if it was not a big deal.
But it was tremendous. No matter how trivial the initial reward was, it would be huge when it's multiplied by 10,563. Aside from golden rings, the EXP, coins and the remaining stat points were far from trivial. And there was one more thing that stopped any thought that I wasted two months staying here.
[This is a quest with hidden rewards.
-The number of ordinary people who moved with Lumen, Asirante has exceeded 1,000.
: Additional 2000 remaining stat points.
-The number of ordinary people who moved with Lumen, Asirante has exceeded 5,000.
: Additional 20,000 coins.
-The number of ordinary people who moved with Lumen, Asirante has exceeded 10,000.
: Additional treasure chest.]

[All the rewards have been issued.
-After 10 minutes, you will be transferred to your original location.]
"…"
To be honest, I felt grateful to Andrei and all the members of the Borneche Expedition who
sympathized with him and deserted the ordinary people.
If they had not abandoned the ordinary people, I wouldn't have had a chance to receive such a reward. I thought that if Andrei and his group had taken care of the ordinary people from the beginning, they would have been engaged in a bloody fight among themselves, for they would find it extremely hard to give up the enormous reward.
As a matter of fact, even though they were afraid of me, Andrei and the Borneche Expedition members could not give up the reward easily. I would have acted the same way if I had been in their position, for I was just as greedy as them.
In particular, Andrei and the Borneche Expedition didn't take the initiative to take away the ordinary people because they were afraid of me, but I would certainly have done so as the strong did to the weak. In that process there would have been numerous casualties.
"Was this probably the best choice for me or Andrei and the Borneche Expedition who abandoned the ordinary people?"
Suddenly, such a question came to my mind.
Of course, this was all just 'what ifs', so I stopped thinking about it while shaking my head. Besides, a series of messages rang to distract my attention.
[You have leveled up.]
[You have leveled up.]
:
:
[You have leveled up.]
This kind of message always made me happy.
In the meantime, there was another message.
[You currently have the title 'Quest Master'.
- Upon clearing a quest, you will acquire additional 100~300 remaining stat points depending on the difficulty of the quest.
- We are calculating the difficulty of clearing the quest 'Escape from the New Continent with the Borneche Expedition'.
:100 remaining stat points.]

Even if it was somebody else's quest I was participating in, it was obviously a quest.
So I wasn't surprised that the quest master message rang because I expected it would ring.
However, compared to the 300 remaining stat points I had received from Quest Master upon clearing a quest every time so far, 100 remaining stat points was very small. Of course, I understood why.
The Borneche Expedition directly proved that it was not a big problem for those who raised their reality actualization rate to get to the 5th gate without taking care of the ordinary people, even though passing the 2nd gate was difficult.
Moreover, I didn't pay much attention to the Quest Master reward because I had already gained so much. Anyway, when the messages about my level-up stopped ringing, I opened my mouth with a slightly trembling voice.
"Check status window."

"…"
10,563 remaining stat points I earned from 10,563 players thanks to 1 stat point per person.
That went up to a whopping 12,963 when I included the 2000 as part of the additional rewards and the 400 stat points I gained from leveling up 40 times.
Finally, the 100 stat points I acquired as the Quest MAster eventually changed the total to 13,063.
Given the effect of Mutual Growth, the number was practically 32,500.
So I was preoccupied with thinking, "Can I really claim all these rewards?"
I had a whopping 32,500 remaining stats. Obviously, ordinary people could never obtain such a huge number of remaining stat points even if they reached level 1200, leveled up and added their items and skills.
Of course, 32,500 was possible because of my trait, Mutual Growth.
Even without that, however, I would still be left with 13,000 stat points.
If these remaining stat points were converted to levels, it would amount to a staggering 1300 levels.
So I just stared at the message for a long time.
Then I got to my senses, and invested all of the remaining 13,000 stat points in Intellect, increasing my intellect to over 77,000.
What's more, my stamina was over 60,000, and my Willpower over 40,000.
Of course, there was more change.
1 Health and 1 Willpower increased health and mana by 100, respectively.
In other words, it meant that my health increased by 1.3 million and my mana by 650,000 at a time. So I could not help but be surprised once again until I felt as if I was being dragged somewhere. Of course, the place I was being dragged to would be the Myongjin Shelter where I was before the quest started.
After a while.
"My brother-in-law!
"Son!"
"Juyoung!"
My father, my mother, my brother, my sister, my sister-in-law as well as my sister-in-law's father and mother, who traveled with me there for two and a half months, greeted me warmly.
I knew immediately that my sister-in-law's parents moved directly to their original locations like other ordinary people, unlike me who received the reward.
"Good job. You really did a very good job!"
"Thank you very much!"
"Awesome!"
They kept welcoming and praising me for as long as ten minutes.
Given their reaction, it seemed that they had already told my parents about my dramatic performance. That's why my sister-in-law spoke to me, crying tearfully like that.
I felt a bit embarrassed by their praise because I didn't act with only good intentions.
But I didn't show my feelings.

Tales of the Legendary Scholar
They meet in the most unlikely moment and turned their life around. Freidrech newly arrived in his own nation's capital city, which is so foreign to him compared to his village's idyllic and nondiscriminatory atmosphere, after he is forced to come. Now, he is facing a royal prince and tells him to bow. This draws out one of his late father's teachings from the deepest recesses in his mind. "The blood of your great ancestors runs in your veins. Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. Also, giving in to oppression is directly telling the oppressor that you're easy prey and open for manipulation." He is uncertain on how to face this oppression right now. Will he bows or not? What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. "I, Freidrech Goederf Gerboud, son of the late Village Chief Louvel Gerboud of Wrilon, will challenge you, Your Highness, to a battle of riddles… If you win, I will not only bow but be your servant for the rest of my life." This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Little did they know, this boy who Prince Theodrech takes in as his confidant and friend in the most ridiculous fashion is someone indispensable in his life and the one who can help him succeed the throne when he almost believes he has lost. Thus, the Tales of the Legendary Scholar begins. ------ o ------ Old Synopsis: A famous ancient adage stated, behind a successful man is a woman BUT… In these lands, the monarchs are seeking not a woman to stand behind them but the man hailed as the Legendary Scholar.
