Closed Beta That Only I Played Chapter 90

It was immediately obvious that my attack was overwhelmingly more powerful than all the others since it could cause various wounds to the trunk of the long-rooted ancient tree, compared to others' attack that didn't inflict any impressive damage at all.
Less than 20 minutes after my attack started, Lee's members began to whisper, overwhelmed by my attack.
"Wow. It's been a while since we had such an easy boss monster raid."
"You bet. Check the time. It took less than 20 minutes, let alone 30 minutes, to get rid of the boss monster."
"Man, how can just one guy deal with the monster like this?"
"Damn it! This guy with the ID Asirante is so cool!"
"Hey. Captain is approaching him now. By the way, this guy must have joined our guild, right?"
"I have no idea. If he is already a guild member, he would have no reason to be fighting alone like that."
"If he is not a guild member, then if he joins the Sungchang Guild…"
"There will be a big uproar, I think. A guy with this high of a level? To be honest with you, I thought he was the administrator or a player abusing bugs. And even now I still think he is."
"Are you kidding? Don't you know what kind of game this is?"
"Yeah, I know."
"Anyway, it will be great if he joins our Sungchang Guild."
I could clearly hear them talking with each other about these things.
Soon Kilyoung Lee approached me and opened his mouth.
"Asirante, I wonder if you can join our guild…"
"No thanks. I am currently hunting on my own. It's not my style to join a group."
"Ah! I see. Obviously there are only a few guilds that can scout powerful men like you, Asirante. However, even though our Sungchang Guild is behind giant guilds in terms of size, we are completely different from them in terms of our guild culture and operation. In particular, unlike other guilds, we guarantee individual freedom, so some who have joined don't even feel like they are part of our Sungchang Guild."
Lee sincerely persuaded me to join the guild, so I responded politely.
I responded, 'I see,' then nodded.
"Even if you don't want to join now, I wonder if I can add you as a friend…"
He wanted to connect with me at all cost, so I replied with a smile, appreciating his efforts.

"Sure, no problem. I enjoyed this boss monster raid very much this time."
"Hahaha. Thank you."
[You have received a friend request from Dukgu.]
Apparently Dukgu is his ID. I immediately accepted his friend request.
"Thank you very much. By the way, we're going to give up our guild's share of the items dropped by the boss monster this time. Obviously you played the biggest role, and it was you who got here first to hunt the boss monster."
"Thank you."
I didn't reject his offer because I didn't have to. So, I just expressed gratitude to him.
After spending almost 10 more minutes talking with him, I left the place with an exhausted expression because it seemed like he would talk to me for another hour if given the chance.
Tramp, tramp.
Since I was left alone, I slowly moved to the place where the boss monster, the long-rooted ancient tree, fell.
As if they were conscious of me, the Sungchang Guild members deliberately didn't turn their eyes to the items dropped by the boss monster even after they left.
Of course, I didn't have high expectations for the dropped items because they reminded me that the items here were not worth the effort of hunting the boss monster, hence it was basically an abandoned boss monster.
Anyway, I headed to that place without much expectation.

At the Sungchang Guild's headquarters.
Guild leader Jangsu Park and the other executives were seated in the huge conference room, remaining silent while watching a video from start to finish.
"..."
"..."
"..."
The video was about 30 minutes long. Their silence continued even after the video ended. Then, Park, who sat at the head of the table, opened his mouth first to Kilyoung Lee who brought this video.
"The rest of the members of the second team also filmed this?"
"Yes. I can confidently say that all 50 members of my team including me filmed it."
"Hmm..."
Park groaned at his reply. After hearing his boss groaning, Jintae Kang, his right-hand man and the head of Sungchang's intelligence division, opened his mouth.
"Even if you order them to delete their recordings, they won't listen to you. Don't you see their greedy intentions? They think they will earn a lot of money if they sell it to giant guilds including the Mirae, Myongjin, Daesung, Kusan and Daeyu Guilds. So, please don't covet it because it will only worsen the atmosphere."

"I guess so."
"Absolutely. They may leave the Sungchang Guild right away."
Park just smacked his lips at the intelligence chief's words.
Then he turned his gaze at Lee again and said, "You added him as a friend?"
"Yes. Fortunately, I became friends with that guy named Asirante. And he said it's not his style to join a group."
"I don't think so. He may be trying to feel us out. Give him hundreds of millions of won, and he will immediately join our guild right away."
There is a saying that money doesn't solve everything in the world, but Park knew that he could solve 99 out of 100 things with money, and that the ones who didn't believe so and emphasized the remaining 1 did so to comfort themselves .
"This fish is too big to swallow under the Sungchang name."
Park knew that he was a greedy person. That was how he grew the Sungchang Guild to the point it was at today.
However, he wasn't foolish enough to blind himself with money because he was greedy.
So, no matter how hard he thought about it, he realized that it was almost impossible for Sungchang to win over Asirante.
What if Sungchang can't win him over?
"Just sweet-talk him into joining our guild. Instead of winning him over, we will try to establish a connection with him. If we can serve as an intermediary and introduce him to Mirae, Myongjin, Daesung, Kusan and Daeyu, we will be able to receive a huge commission. And if we can win him over in the process…" Park muttered, concluding that was the best option for now.
And this was a good opportunity for the name Asirante to be widely known.

"Ice Field! Multiple Thin Ice!"
Pasasasak!
As always, I was busy hunting in the same abandoned field of trees where the long-rooted sapling monsters appeared. Moreover, three days have already passed since the event with the Sungchang Guild.
But this hunting ground was still empty. To put it precisely, I was alone in the field as if nothing had happened.
So, judging by this atmosphere alone, my operation to widely advertise the name "Asirante" seemed to have failed this time. But I didn't feel impatient at all.
All 50 members of Kilyoung Lee's 2nd boss raid team used a Memory Bead.
Could it be that Sungchang was controlling all the recorded videos?
It was absolutely impossible because human greed could not be controlled.
"Pouring Hailstone! Multiple Ice Arrow!"
Pitter-patter! Pitter-patter!
So I just focused on hunting because my ID "Asirante" will spread by itself over time.
And it wasn't my plan to spread my ID Asirante for external purposes. It was a plan started by my dad and my family members.
At theDaesung Guild's Headquarters.
"This is the same guy, right?"
"Yes, that's correct."
When Daesung Chairman Junghan Kim asked, his chief secretary Insu Jang answered with certainty.
Then Chairman Kim opened his mouth, grinding his molars.
"God damn bastard, Asirante! How dare he toy with us by using the administrator's name?"
An ice wizard dressed in rags.
Daesung once tried to track down this ice wizard in rags because he mentioned that he was the administrator.
Of course, none of the Daesung leadership including Chairman Junghan Kim believed him since it was highly unlikely that such a strong man would be in rags, and even if he was, he would not be hunting in such a low-level hunting ground. Moreover, it was confirmed later that their guild members first picked a fight with him. But they had no choice but to pay attention to this matter because they could not overlook the tiny chance that it was true.
Even before Chairman Kim was done venting his anger, somebody whispered from one corner of his office.
"By the way, I think he could safely be called the administrator given his tremendous strength."
"..."
"..."
Silence fell on the conference room which was so noisy until a moment ago.
Even Chairman Kim, who just expressed his fury openly, was silent.
This man named Asirante in the video, which Daesung Guild secretly obtained, was incredulously strong. So much so that Chairman Kim wanted to hire him by all means.
Kildu Ma, the head of Daesung's special elite team, was responsible for this silence by almost recognizing Asirante as the administrator a moment ago.
He said, "Regardless of our bad relationship with him, we can't lose him because we know his identity now, right? He is a real precious treasure. I don't even want to imagine him joining Mirae, Myongjin, Kusan or Daeyu."
"Then, what should I do?" Chairman Kim asked with a heavy expression while looking at Ma.
However, Ma shrugged, then replied mischievously.
"How would a security man like me know what to do? The smart people here, headed by our chairman, should find a solution."

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.
