The next morning, Selene woke up in a bright mood. Her face was glowing with joy. Eros completed her night as they had fun flying in the night sky.

She rewarded him with a kiss. She was carried away by her feelings. She was supposed to kiss him on his cheek but ended up kissing him on his lips.

She felt so embarrassed after the kiss. She was the one who initiated it. Fortunately, Eros didn't say a word.

He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. He somehow knew that Selene would feel a little bit embarrassed so, in the end, he diverted her attention by flying around at a fast speed while holding Selene in his arms. Selene enjoyed it so much.

Eros also got hyper since he was rejoicing after being kissed by Selene. They had fun together without realizing that someone had seen them kissing.

Meanwhile, Renz was also awake. He was fixing their things and putting them back in the car. The tent was the only thing left.

When Selene got out, Renz gave her a cup of hot coffee. While Selene was drinking her coffee, Renz was dismantling and folding their tent.

They would go back home in a few minutes. Micaela asked them if she could join them going back to the City of Sierra. She didn't have a car.

After a while, Micaela approached Renz while holding her tent. They put all their things inside the car trunk.

"Good morning, Selene!" Micaela greeted her as she joined her.

"Good morning too, Micaela!"

Eros rolled his eyes upon seeing Micaela. He was sitting next to Selene when Micaela arrived.

"Did you have fun last night?" Micaela asked her.

Selene bobbed her head with a wide grin. Micaela had no idea that Selene had fun because of Eros.

"Good to know that!"

"How about you? Did you also enjoy last night?" Selene asked her back.

Of course, Micaela said yes although all she felt was jealousy. How could she enjoy it if the only thing he could see last night was the sweet gestures of Renz towards Selene?

"Do you have another plan next week? Please invite me!" Micaela asked Selene curiously. She wondered if Renz and Selene would have another date.

But Selene shook her head. "I will become busy in the next few days. I am currently working on a project."

Micaela nodded her head. Mr. M informed her that Selene was trying her best to keep her CEO position in her company.

Micaela wondered if Selene could really do it. Was she capable enough to protect her position? If not, then it would certainly be taken away from her just like how Micaela was planning to take away Renz from Selene.

"Okay, I understand. I wish you more success in your career. Do your best, Selene!"

Selene smiled at her while nodding her head.

"Are we going back to the city now?" Micaela asked Selene, peering her eyes at her surroundings as if she was searching for someone.

"Yes, Renz is preparing the car now. He is checking whether we put everything back in the car or if we have forgotten something."

"Alright. Inform me if we are about to leave. I will just call someone. My classmates and I will have a seminar tomorrow. They keep bugging me about the presentation. Sigh!" Micaela lamented to Selene.

Selene giggled seeing her frustrated expression. "Tell them to help you out. They are always passing all the work on to you."

"Sigh, I know right?! But I can't refuse them. I am just a nobody. A scholar with a simple background. Whereas, my classmates have wealthy and influential families in the City of Sierra!"

Selene patted Micaela's head. There were complex emotions on her face as she recalled that Micaela already lost her parents. And according to Azrael, she was doing her revenge for her parents who passed away.

"You can do it! Don't let them take advantage of you. Who cares if they have a strong family background? They have to work hard and study well to graduate!"

Selene and Micaela burst out laughing after Selene said those words. She had a point.

After a few seconds, Micaela excused herself and called Mr. M.

"Is everything set? We are about to leave. When are you going to implement our plan?" Micaela asked him, feeling a little bit impatient.

"Just take it easy. Everything is prepared. Just do your part. That person is on the move now. You will see him soon," Mr. M responded.

"Okay. Got it. I should go now."

"You will get his message," Mr. M added before the call ended.

Micaela hung up the phone and went to join Selene. That was the time Renz came to them, telling them that they could leave now.

Then she received a message from an anonymous number.

[ Ma'am! I'm going to move soon. Be prepared! I am in the parking lot now. ]

Micaela smiled inwardly after reading the message. She also replied to him.

[ Ok. Got it! We are on our way now to the parking lot. ]

The man responded promptly.

[ Noted! ]

Selene, Eros, Renz, and Micaela were now walking towards the parking area. Eros was frowning because he would sit in the back passenger seat together with Micaela.

He glanced at his surroundings one last time. He could still see the grim reapers following them. There were seven of them in the area. But he didn't see any sign of Zaki. Eros felt relieved about that.

The four of them reached the parking area. They were just a few meters away from Renz's car when someone from behind called their attention, specifically Renz.

"Mr. RENZ CHOU!" A stranger yelled, causing the four of them to turn around.

They were shocked to see a man wearing a mask and a cap. He was standing a few steps away from them while holding his gun and pointing in their direction.

Selene, Eros, and Renz were both shocked and frightened after seeing the man.

'What is he going to do?!'

"Say goodbye to your friends, Renz Chou!" The man said before pulling the trigger.
