Selene was still warming herself in front of the bonfire when Micaela and Renz returned. Renz started setting up and assembling the parts of the telescope.

Selene and Micaela were watching him. While they were doing that, Eros had a better idea of how Selene would enjoy stargazing.

Eros also loved watching stars in the night sky. It was his favorite pastime. He would fly high and settle down on the clouds. While floating in the sky, he could watch the stars closely.

Later, if they got the chance, Eros would try to sneak out together with Selene. He would fly together with her and watch the stars while floating in the air.

He just needed to find the right timing. He would invite Selene once Renz was already sound asleep. Aside from Renz, he should also avoid being seen by the other grim reapers.

Micaela didn't leave yet. She stayed with the couple as they started stargazing. Selene was watching the star through the telescope.

Renz was standing behind her, hugging her waist. Micaela felt jealous by watching them. Renz looked so happy while taking care of Selene.

He was making sure to give her warmth, unlike Micaela who's freezing in her spot if not for the bonfire.

Aside from Micaela, Eros also felt a little bit jealous. However, he was also happy for Selene. Accomplishing his mission was a must to keep Selene safe.

Eros didn't forget Sienna's warning. She said Selene's life would be in danger once Eros failed his mission.

He was willing to sacrifice everything just to make sure nothing bad would happen to Selene.

Besides, a love between a human and an angel was forbidden. It couldn't happen. Even heaven was against this. Eros had strict rules to follow. However, he couldn't deny the fact that he already broke some rules because of Selene.

It was already midnight when Selene and Renz stopped stargazing. Micaela also said goodbye, returning to her own tent.

Renz entered their tent first, arranging their beddings and comforters inside. He was trying his best to make Selene comfortable when sleeping inside.

Before Selene stepped inside the tent, Eros grabbed her elbow thus stopping her. He leaned closer and whispered something in her ear.

"Sleep well, Selene. I will wake you up later once Renz falls asleep. There is something I wanna show you."

After saying that, Eros kissed Selene on her forehead before leaving her. Selene just watched Eros as he walked away.

Eros didn't want to see Selene and Renz sleeping together inside the tent so it was better for him to leave. He would just go back when it was time to wake Selene up.

But the moment Selene entered the tent, her mind became occupied by Eros. She could no longer sleep just thinking about Eros. She was curious about what Eros wanted to show her.

On the other hand, since Renz got tired from driving he drifted off to sleep immediately. Selene was still laying her head on his arm while Renz was hugging her waist with his other hand.

Selene glanced at Renz. There was a dim light inside their tent. The faint light came from a portable heater with a matching flashlight.

She got to observe Renz's sleeping face. Renz was also very handsome. He was thoughtful, sweet, and caring.

She appreciated his effort. She was grateful to him for organizing this activity for her. She really enjoyed it.

However, Selene realized that her feelings for Renz were slowly fading. They were not as strong as before.

'Am I getting tired of loving him? Am I falling out of love? Do I already accept that Renz and I can never be together?'

Selene was asking herself as she assessed her feelings for Renz. She raised her hand, touching his face.

'Whatever feelings I have for you right now, I promise that I will keep you safe. I will try to prevent that incident from happening again.'

'I know it is also painful for you to watch me die in your arms. It is also a traumatic experience for you. I guess you were blaming yourself for what happened to me.' Selene's eyes lingered on his face.

'You were always kind to me in our previous life. But that kindness didn't transform into love.'

Selene smiled faintly, still caressing Renz's face.

"Even if we don't end up together in this lifetime. You will always hold a special place in my heart," Selene mumbled before planting a soft kiss on his forehead.

Selene slowly removed Renz's arm that was wrapped around her waist. She got up and silently left the tent.

Eros saw Selene leaving the tent. He immediately got down from the tree and excitedly approached her.

"Selene!"

"Eros…"

"Are you ready?" Eros asked her, fixing Selene's jacket.

Selene bobbed her head with a smile.

"Yes. Where are we going?"

Eros's lips stretched up into a cheeky smile before pointing his finger at the sky.

Selene looked at him confusedly. She didn't understand what he meant. Eros just let out a husky laugh after seeing the confusion in her eyes.

"Selene, do you have a handkerchief with you right now?"

Though puzzled by his motive, Selene nodded her head and picked up her handkerchief inside her pocket.

Eros used it as a blindfold. Selene's curiosity intensified. After a few seconds, she just found herself being hugged by Eros.

Eros's hug got her distracted. She failed to notice that they were already ascending in the sky. Eros was holding her tightly as they flew above the sky.

Selene couldn't feel the night breeze because Eros's large beautiful white wings were engulfing her body.

It did not take long when Eros requested Selene to take off her blindfold.

"You can remove it now, Selene." he was still holding Selene in his arms.

When Selene removed the blindfold, Eros's handsome face greeted her sight. He was smiling charmingly at her.

She blinked her eyes several times before she realized that they were floating in the air.

"E-Eros… are we flying?"
