Renz's plan of spending time alone with Selene was ruined because Micaela joined them. He felt uncomfortable in her presence.

Micaela tried to interact with Selene while Renz was busy grilling barbeque. He also made a bonfire as a source of warmth on that cold night.

Eros was there with Selene, listening to their conversation. According to Micaela, she wanted to unwind, that's why she tried outdoor activities like camping.

This place was one of the famous camping sites so Micaela chose this place, not expecting that she would meet Selene and Renz. Of course, Micaela was just making use of this as an alibi.

"Selene, are you okay now?" Micaela asked her out of the blue.

Selene gave her a faint smile. "Yes, I'm slowly coping up."

Micaela touched her hand, gently squeezing it.

"Good to hear that. If you need someone to talk to, just always remember that I am here for you."

If Selene hadn't known that Micaela was plotting something for revenge, she would believe her words. She looked sincere while saying those words. Selene didn't know what Micaela's true face was now.

Day by day, she was becoming wary of her. Her suspicion and doubt were increasing. She needed to know why Micaela wanted revenge.

And who was she targeting? Was it Selene or Renz? These questions were running in Selene's mind.

Selene already hired someone to investigate Micaela's background. She would be able to get the report next week. Fortunately, the agent she hired was very capable.

"I heard that you have been pretty busy lately. If there is something I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to tell me, okay?"

"Okay, I will keep that in mind. Thank you," Selene plainly responded.

Meanwhile, Eros rolled his eyes after hearing Micaela's words. He couldn't understand why but he couldn't appreciate Micaela's gesture. All he could see was 'Fakeness!', not genuine at all.

In order not to be affected by Micaela's presence, Eros just focused his attention on Selene.

"Selene, are you cold?" He asked her.

Selene could hear and see Eros. But since Micaela was there, she just simply nodded her head as a response to Eros.

When he got her answer, Eros offered his hand. He wanted to warm her hands by holding them with his own hands.

Selene's lips curled up into a gentle smile. She loved Eros's gesture. While sitting and facing the bonfire, Eros was rubbing and squeezing Selene's hands with his hands.

Not yet satisfied, Eros moved at her back, hugging her from behind.

"Hmm, this is so much better," Eros mumbled. There was a conceited smile on his handsome face.

Selene tried her best to act normal. If she would react to Eros's remarks, Micaela might notice something.

Selene and Eros remained in that position for several minutes. Eros just released her when Renz sat down beside Selene. He was done cooking some barbeque.

The girls started to dig in together with Renz. Eros couldn't help but drool while watching them eat the saucy meaty barbeque. They looked yummy and delicious. Too bad he couldn't taste it now.

Selene was trying her best to hold her laughter. She could see Eros whose eyes were fixed on their food. He wanted to taste the food but he couldn't.

'Hmm, next time... I will grill some barbecue for Eros. Or maybe I should invite Eros, Azrael, and Sach to go camping like this.' Selene made a mental note.

After eating dinner, Renz planned to set up the telescope they would be using for tonight's stargazing activity.

He said goodbye to the ladies in the meantime and went to his car to get the large telescope.

Micaela secretly followed him. She just said an excuse that she would go to the comfort room. There was a comfort room intended for the campers. It was located near the parking area.

When Selene was no longer looking in her direction, Micaela turned to her left going to the parking area. She saw Renz pick the large bag containing the telescope. He would assemble it near their tent.

Renz just closed and locked his car's trunk when Micaela approached him. A deep crease appeared in Renz's forehead upon seeing Micaela.

"What are you doing here? Why did you follow me?" Renz asked her indifferently.

"Renz, can we talk? Just spare me a few minutes of your time. There is something I want to tell you. Please," Micaela said with her pleading voice.

After contemplating for a moment, Renz agreed with Micaela's request.

"Just make it quick. Selene is waiting…" Renz said.

Micaela bobbed her head, thanking him. She was glad Renz didn't ignore her this time.

"I just want to apologize for my actions. I realized my mistake now. I promise I will never do something that will hurt you and Selene."

"I'm already content that once in my life I got to know someone like you. Thank you, Renz. I'm really sorry. Please don't hate me."

Renz was having mixed emotions after hearing Micaela's apology.

"Don't worry, Renz. I will not tell Selene. Just like you, I don't want to ruin my friendship with her. Please take good care of my best friend. She needs you now."

"But Renz… I hope… we can also become friends. Let's forget what happened between us. Let's start all over again."

After saying those words, Micaela extended her hand in front of Renz. She wondered if Renz would accept her.

'Did he believe me or not?' Micaela was still waiting for Renz's reply.

After a few seconds, Renz accepted her hand using his free hand.

"Alright. Let's be friends… forget everything and have a fresh start as friends."

Micaela's eyes brightened up! Renz finally gave in, thinking that Micaela was genuine with her words. This was just her facade of getting closer to him… another strategy that would make him soften towards Micaela.

"Thank you, Renz, for giving me a chance…"

'...giving me a chance to make you mine.' Micaela added in her thoughts while smiling triumphantly.
