Aside from his voice, Samantha recognized his perfume. She relaxed her body after knowing that the man hugging her behind was her boyfriend, Jackson also known as Mr. M.

"Hey, I thought you were not coming anymore. What are you doing here?" Samantha said. She sounded a little bit upset.

She waited for him when he said he was on the way but it turned out he hadn't left his place yet. He even hung up the phone a while ago without saying goodbye to her.

"Are you mad at me, sweety?" Mr. M tightened his embrace.

"You suddenly hung up the phone! You lied to me that you were on your way," Samantha complained to him.

"I'm sorry, sweety. Don't get mad. Let me make it up to you next time."

Samantha just took a deep breath before nodding her head. Mr. M smiled when she gave in.

He turned her around so that he could see her face. Samantha was surprised to see his outfit today. This was the first time she saw him wearing a cap.

"You look gorgeous and masculine wearing this cap. Do you want to be my model?" Samantha asked him, giggling.

"Alright. I'm all yours. You can do anything you want from me," Mr. M responded to her sweetly.

Samantha reached for his cap and removed it. "But I wanna see your face clearly. Let's remove this in the meantime."

Upon removing his cap, Samantha saw the bead of sweat on his forehead. The weather was hot outside and Mr. M just walked from the nearby restaurant going to Samantha's Shop.

Samantha picked up her handkerchief inside her pocket and started wiping his sweat. Mr. M was taken aback by her thoughtfulness.

Samantha was always caring. If she had free time she would even cook for him and feed him. She was very sweet and loving. He didn't expect to see this side of her.

On their first meeting, she was so annoyed and grumpy, arguing with him. Who would have thought that this woman could be this sweet towards him?

Maybe this was one of the reasons he liked hanging out around her. He was touched by the genuine care she was giving him. It was something he had not experience from a woman, including his mother.

"Are you tired? You look so busy," Mr. M asked her, holding her hand.

"No. I'm not tired. I regain my energy back because you are here," Samantha said, flattering him with her sweet words.

Mr. M couldn't help but chuckle.

"Let me give you more energy," Mr. M mumbled.

After saying that, he grabbed her head and sealed her lips with a passionate kiss.

Samantha was caught off guard at first. But later on, she responded to him, returning his kiss with equal passion as his.

The kiss lasted for several minutes. He didn't stop kissing her until he was satisfied. He missed her so much that he didn't want to let go of her lips.

When they broke the kiss, the two of them were panting, catching their breath. Mr. M pulled her towards the sofa. They sat down with their entangled hands.

He was observing Samantha quietly. He couldn't understand why but he felt a pang of guilt in his heart.

He had sex with Micaela before coming here. And now, he was kissing Samantha as if nothing happened.

"Sam…" he called her name softly.

"Hmm?" Samantha turned to her side, giving him a questioning gaze.

"Do you have any plan tonight?" he asked her expectantly.

Samantha paused for a moment, thinking about her schedule.

"I think I'm free tonight. Why?"

"I said I'm gonna make it up to you. So… can I go to your place, tonight?" Mr. M asked her with a cheeky grin on his face.

Samantha just nodded her head in agreement.

"Hmm, I'm gonna cook tonight. What do you wanna eat?"

Mr. M's eyes brightened up when he heard that. He couldn't wait to have Samantha's home-cooked meal. He loved eating when Samantha cooked it for him.

"Really? Can I go with you to buy the ingredients?! Let's drop by the supermarket after your work!" Mr. M suggested with so much enthusiasm in his voice.

He enjoyed those simple things that he and Samantha were doing~ cooking food, buying things in the supermarket, and having little chit-chat during their meals.

"Sure! Let's do that!"

"By the way, how is your friend, Selene?" Mr. M simply asked her as he didn't forget to get an update about Selene.

"Hmm, I think she is doing better now compared to before. Diverting her attention and focusing on her work helped her forget the sorrow of losing her grandma."

"Work? Is she working already? I thought she was still a student."

"She is working on one of her company's projects. She called it Blackpearl Project. She even asked me for this collaboration. Selene and I are working on this project now!" Samantha cheerfully informed him.

Mr. M was a little bit surprised when he heard that.

'As expected… I can still get useful information from Samantha when it comes to Selene. Hmm, Blackpearl Project? Interesting.'

Mr. M asked Samantha more about this Blackpearl Project. He remembered that his accomplice told him that Selene made a bet with them.

Once this project failed, Selene would step down as the CEO of the Lockhart Enterprise.

Mr. M's lips stretched out into a mischievous smile. He could monitor the progress of this project through Samantha.

Now, it would be easy for him to sabotage this project and make Selene fail. But for now, he would not intervene. He wanted to see how capable Selene was.

There would be no fun if Selene would go down easily. He wanted her to climb high so that it would be more painful when she falls down.

After spending the rest of his afternoon in Samantha's office, the two left to buy some ingredients before going to Samantha's place. Mr. M had forgotten that his assistant was still waiting for him inside the restaurant.
