Eros and Selene went to his room to check on Azrael. She even brought a first aid kit even though she was not sure if ordinary medicine could help Azrael.

Selene gasped the moment she saw Azrael's sorry state. He looked so bad. He had open wounds in the different parts of his body.

Selene took large strides going to the bed where Azrael was currently lying. His eyes were closed and he was breathing hard.

There was a deep crease on his forehead, indicating that he was in pain.

"Who did this to you?" Selene asked him, checking his wounds. Eros was standing beside the bed.

Azrael slowly opened his eyes when he heard Selene's voice, the voice of the woman who was the root cause of all this.

Was he mad at Selene? Was he blaming her for his misfortune?

Azrael tried to assess his feelings while looking at Selene.

He sighed helplessly. How could he get mad at her if he could see the genuine concern in her eyes.

Could it really be possible to make friends with humans?

With complicated emotions on Azrael's face, he answered Selene. "The supreme leader of the grim reapers. He did this to me."

"Huh? But why? Why did he hurt you? He is so ruthless."

Azrael looked straight into her eyes and said, "Because he learned that I brought you back to life."

Selene was taken aback when she heard that. She didn't know what to say. She felt like it was her fault, that's why Azrael got hurt.

Selene looked away, lowering her gaze.

"I'm sorry, Azrael." Selene apologized to him.

"No, Selene! It's not your fault!" Eros promptly responded.

Azrael also nodded his head. He didn't want Selene to feel bad about this. She was already facing lots of problems.

"Eros is right. This is not your fault, Selene. Besides, it's my own decision to revive you. You didn't force me. We even tried to convince you to go back since you refused at first."

Azrael began consoling Selene. He was being influenced by Eros. He knew that Eros didn't want to see Selene sad. He didn't want her to blame herself for what happened to him.

'Eh, when did I become so soft like this? Maybe this is the effect of hanging out with Eros,' Azrael thought to himself, smiling inwardly.

Since he became closer to Eros, he didn't feel lonely or gloomy anymore. Everyone was thinking that compared to angels of love, the grim reapers or the angels of death were more gloomy and lonely.

However, when he started bonding with Eros, his days became more colorful and noisy, even though they had endless bickering and little fighting once in a while.

He had to admit that he was touched by Eros's actions a while ago. Instead of leaving him, he stayed to protect him.

Azrael's lips twitched into a faint smile. 'Indeed, cupids are spreading love in this world. I felt the love of a friend when Eros tried to protect me against Zaki.'

Eros frowned upon seeing the smile on Azrael's face. He misunderstood him.

"It looks like you are enjoying this. Why are you smiling like a fool although you are not in good condition right now?" Eros scowled at Azrael, thinking that he was smiling because of Selene.

Eros misunderstood the meaning behind Azrael's smile. He thought he was happy because Selene was showing him how worried she was and giving him more attention.

Eros pouted while glaring at Azrael. On the other hand, Azrael was clueless why Eros suddenly became grumpy.

"Am I not allowed to smile? I just remembered something that made me happy," Azrael talked back to him.

Eros lifted his eyebrow. "What is it then?"

Azrael was rendered speechless. He would never admit that he was smiling because of Eros and his thoughtfulness. He just came up with an alibi.

"Because I met your mother angel, Sienna! You fool! Have you forgotten?"

Selene was dumbfounded at the mention of mother angel, Sienna.

"W-What?! You met her? She is here? The mother angel of cupids?" Selene held Azrael's hands as she asked him with her dreamy eyes.

She also wished to see her. She was curious about the mother angel of cupids.

Meanwhile, Eros's face darkened after seeing Selene's hands that were holding Azrael's hands. He had the urge to snatch her hands away.

"Yes! I saw her. She's so beautiful! I feel like I am dreaming. She is so… so…. gorgeous and charming!" Azrael talked about Sienna with eyes glowing with joy and admiration.

"Oh, I'm jealous! I want to see her too!"

"Hahaha. Too bad you were not there. You will certainly fall in love with her beauty!"

Azrael and Selene started talking about Sienna. It seemed that they had forgotten Eros's presence.

Eros became more jealous because of that. He was like an invisible air when the two began talking about Sienna.

His expression turned ugly and it could no longer be painted. He just remained silent as he listened to the two of them.

"Where is mother angel, Sienna? Why didn't she come with you?" Selene asked Azrael curiously.

"She was the one who helped us get away from Zaki. She protected us. I think she is fighting Zaki right now…" Azrael said with his worried voice.

He wondered if Sienna would just be fine. Zaki was powerful and ruthless. He might not hesitate to hurt Sienna. That was what he was thinking but little did they know, Zaki had no intention of hurting Sienna as well.

Selene gazed up, tugging Eros's hand. "Will she be okay, Eros? Will she not get hurt?"

Though upset, Eros still answered Selene, consoling her.

"Don't worry about mother angel Sienna. She is strong. If there is someone who can match Zaki's power and strength, it will be Sienna."

Both Azrael and Selene heaved a sigh of relief after hearing that from Eros.

"Hey, I heard my name. Are you all talking about me?" A sweet melodious female voice was heard at the back of Eros.

When they turned around, they saw a beautiful angel with long curly golden-brown hair standing before them.

Azrael: "Sienna!"

Eros: "Mother Angel!"
