Eros punched Renz. He didn't avoid it. He felt that he deserved that punch so he just let Eros do it. His jaw was hurting.

It was a hard punch coming from Eros. Fortunately, he just punched him once and didn't exert more force.

If Eros didn't control his strength then Renz would certainly receive a serious injury with that one punch. His human form also served as a seal, restricting 75% of his angel's power and strength.

Eros grabbed Renz on his collar. "Selene had been through a lot. Do you want to break her heart again, Renz?"

"If you don't love her and you can't cherish her then you should let go of her!"

"Renz, answer me! Do you like Micaela? Do you love her?" Eros was enraged right now.

"No! I don't!" Renz quickly responded to Eros.

"Then do the right thing! Stop seeing her! Ignore her and protect Selene. Don't break her heart, Renz!"

Renz lowered his gaze. He felt so guilty for Selene.

"I know. I've been doing that. I am trying to avoid and ignore her."

Eros finally let go of Renz's collar. He looked away, trying to calm himself down. At least, he appreciated Renz's honesty. He could feel his sincerity as well.

This only meant Renz was not yet in love with Micaela. He didn't want to hurt Selene.

"So what are you gonna do now?" Eros asked him.

"Please give me time, Gabriel. I will tell Selene the truth once she becomes okay. This is not the right time to talk about it. She is still suffering from losing Grandma Elysa."

Eros could only sigh deeply. "Yeah, I know. I understand."

"Renz, I am warning you. If you break Selene's heart, I will not let you get near her. I will punish you, Renz!" Eros threatened him.

Renz nodded his head with a faint smile. "Thank you, Gab. I promise. I will make things right between Selene and me. You don't have to worry."

"I will have your word then. Go inside now. Maybe Selene is done."

Renz thanked Eros once again before entering the mansion. Eros remained outside, having conflicting thoughts.

"You did well, Eros. This is what you are supposed to do. This is your job. Give Selene a happy ending with Renz."

But Eros felt like his heart was being squeezed right now. He decided to transform into his cupid form and flew at the sky.

He felt suffocated that he wanted to let it loose by flying around.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Selene joined Sach and Renz who were sitting in the living room. She looked around and didn't see Eros.

"Selene…" Renz immediately stood up after seeing Selene coming over.

"Renz, why are you here?" Selene didn't expect his sudden visit. He didn't inform her that he would visit tonight.

"I came here to see you. Are you alright? I heard from grandpa about what happened in Hartlock Enterprise."

Selene didn't respond right away. She just sat on the sofa, thinking about something.

Sach, on the other hand, had sensed that his presence was not needed there. Two adults would talk about a serious matter so he decided to leave, giving Selene and Renz privacy.

"Big sis, Uncle Renz, I'm just gonna go upstairs. You can talk here."

Without waiting for their response, Sach stood up and went upstairs.

Selene turned to Renz, noticing the red mark on his face.

"What happened to your face?" Selene asked him.

"Oh, this? It's nothing. I just bumped into something hard a while ago because I was not looking at my path."

Selene raised her eyebrow. It looked like someone punched Renz. Since Renz didn't want to talk about it, she decided to ignore it.

"Don't worry. I fixed everything. They can't remove me from my position in the meantime," Selene said, reassuring Renz.

"Why didn't you tell me? I should have been there, helping you," Renz asked Selene.

"Renz, you already helped me and my grandmother in managing the company. This time, I want to do it myself. I don't want to hassle or be a burden to you anymore."

Renz held Selene's shoulders, shaking his head.

"No, Selene. You are not a burden to me! I am your fiancee. I have to help you and assist you."

Selene was saddened as she realized something.

"Renz, what am I to you? Do you just see me as part of your responsibility because I am your fiancee?"

Renz was rendered speechless because of Selene's frankness.

"If that's the case, you don't have to do it, Renz. I can take care of myself."

"No, Selene. It's not just about my obligation… I truly care about you," Renz softly said while staring intently into her eyes.

Selene was at a loss for words. She wanted to believe him but she couldn't. Because every time she would see him, Renz's scandal video kept on popping up in her mind. She couldn't help but doubt his feelings for her.

Selene didn't know what to say. She just bit her lower lip and stayed silent.

Seeing her expression, Renz could tell that Selene didn't believe him.

"Selene, do you hate me? Are you mad at me?" Renz had decided to confront Selene. He was dying to know why Selene suddenly changed her attitude towards him.

Renz's question caught her by surprise. She was at loss for words once again. She couldn't muster up her courage to confront him about his video.

"I don't hate you," Selene chose a safer answer. She might be mad and upset about him but she couldn't hate him.

"Then why… Why do I feel like you are ignoring me? Did I do something wrong that upsets you? Are you avoiding me, Selene?"

Renz paused for a moment. The sadness could be seen in his eyes.

"I don't know why… but I could feel that you are distancing yourself from me…"

Selene had mixed emotions right now. Renz was opening up to her, telling her about his concern.

It looked like he was bothered by Selene's actions for the past few days.

'I'm sorry, Renz. It's just that… I'm not ready to talk about this. Give me time,' Selene thought to herself.

Selene had decided to give him an alibi.

"Renz, I hope you understand that… These past few days have been very hard for me. I don't mean to ignore you."

Selene was partly telling the truth. Between Renz and Eros, she felt more comfortable with Eros. She had been relying more on Eros even before than Renz.

"I'm sorry, Renz. If I made you feel that way."

"You don't have to apologize to me, Selene. I'm sorry. I just misunderstood you. I just don't want you to avoid me or push me away. Selene, always remember that I am here for you."

Renz was sincere while saying those words. Selene just smiled at him while nodding her head.

Renz pulled her into a warm hug. He just realized how much he was missing her. This hug was enough to erase his fatigue and exhaustion from work.

Meanwhile, in the nearby area, Azrael was also roving around searching for the Dark Soul.

He kept on flying around the area when suddenly someone blocked his way. He was surprised to see the person in front of him.

"Supreme Leader?" Azrael mumbled in disbelief. He didn't expect to see Zaki.

He had been out of their radar. He was moving secretly, not sharing his whereabouts from the other grim reapers.

It was surprising that he suddenly appeared in front of Azrael. He immediately kneeled while they were floating in the air.

"Supreme Leader, you have come. I'm glad to see you," Azrael said cautiously.

Zaki was looking at him intently, not saying a word. Azrael felt anxious because of Zaki's silence.

'Damn?! Why me? Why did he choose to appear before me? There are other elite grim reapers whom he could meet!' Azrael lamented to himself inwardly.

Azrael gazed up to see Zaki's face. He couldn't tell what his supreme leader was thinking right now. His face was void of any emotions. If he was mad or upset, Azrael had no way to find out.

Azrael was about to ask him again when suddenly Zaki raised his hand. Azrael's eyes widened in horror when he saw the black fireball with lightning floating in his palm.

Azrael could sense danger. He had a bad feeling about this. In just a blink of an eye, Zaki threw the black fireball lightning towards Azrael.

'F*ck!' Azrael cursed inwardly as he tried to move and dodge it.

He didn't know why Zaki was suddenly attacking him. Zaki didn't stop as he threw another fireball, aiming at Azrael!

'Damn! I have to run away fast!'

Azrael tried his best to dodge Zaki's attack while trying to figure out how to escape.

After several attempts, Zaki was able to hit Azrael.

"Aaaaaah!" The piercing sound of Azrael's scream echoed in the area.

"Supreme Leader! Why are you doing this?!"
