"Eros…"

Eros's eyes widened in surprise when he heard that familiar voice. He turned around only to see mother angel Sienna standing just a few steps away from him.

'Eh? Mother Sienna came to the human world? Is she doing some inspections too just like Zaki?"

"Oh my, Azrael just left. If he stayed longer, he should have seen Sienna,' Eros thought to himself while shaking his head.

After a while, Eros gave her courtesy by bowing his head and kneeling in front of her.

"Rise, Eros," Sienna commanded.

Eros stood up and faced her. "Mother angel, why are you here?"

"I will be monitoring everyone's work while wandering here in the human world. I decided to drop by to see you first. It will not take long. I will return to Angel's Agape Realm soon," Sienna responded to Eros.

Eros bobbed his head as he understood her.

"Come inside. Let's talk inside, mother," Eros invited Sienna politely.

Sienna followed Eros inside the house. They settled down in the living room. She watched Eros for several seconds, assessing him.

Eros felt a little bit uncomfortable because of the way Sienna was looking at him.

After a while, Sienna broke the silence and spoke up.

"Eros, I didn't expect that you will use your human form. Did Selene already know your adult appearance?" Sienna asked Eros.

Eros was taken aback when he heard that. He didn't expect that Sienna would visit him. Now she caught him on the act, using his adult human form.

"Yes, mother angel," Eros responded, looking down.

He didn't know if Mother Angel Sienna would scold him or punish him for breaking one rule. Selene saw his human adult form.

But mother angel Sienna didn't get mad. She just smiled faintly.

"Is your mission too difficult Eros that you have to use your adult human form in front of your contractee?"

Eros could only nod his head. He couldn't tell her that he started using his adult form because they saved Samantha's life. They meddled with the grim reaper's job.

After saving Samantha, he continued using his adult form because he wanted to bond with Selene as an adult human, not a little cupid. He didn't like when Selene was only seeing him as a child in his cupid form.

Sienna could sense something about Eros but she just stayed silent, not mentioning it to Eros.

She changed the topic right away. "How's your mission? Is it going well?"

Eros paused for a moment before responding to Sienna.

"I think Renz is already falling for her. It's just a matter of time and the mission will be accomplished," Eros said, trying to conceal his emotions.

Sienna flashed a satisfied smile. "I wanna see the progress."

"Huh?" Eros was caught off guard.

Sienna let out a soft giggle seeing the confused expression on his face.

"Have you forgotten, Eros? The magic hourglass… we can measure the progress of your mission through that magic hourglass. It will show you the amount of time left before completing the mission."

Eros nodded his head. He almost forgot about the hourglass. Fortunately, Sienna reminded him.

Eros opened his palm. He focused his magical energy on his palm and summoned his magical hourglass. There were two bulbs, the transparent one and the red one.

If all the sand already transferred to the red bulb, it only meant Eros had already accomplished his mission.

Looking at the hourglass, they could see that Eros was almost there in completing the mission. 75% of the sand was already transferred to the red bulb.

Sienna was glad to see the progress. She heaved a sigh of relief.

After meeting Zaki, she felt troubled and worried as if something bad might happen so she decided to see Eros personally and asked him about his mission.

"Good job, Eros. Just continue doing your best. Selene's life depends on this."

Eros clenched his fists. He knew that but he seemed distracted for the past few weeks, neglecting his true mission.

He was the one who was messing with his mission when he started desiring Selene. He couldn't stop himself.

How could he tell his mother angel Sienna that he kissed his contractee several times?

How could he tell her that he was intentionally seducing Selene because he wanted her for himself?

If mother angel Sienna learned about this, he would be punished right away. She might pull him out of this mission and assign a new cupid for Selene.

Eros glanced at her with complicated emotions on his face. He wondered if Sienna already had an idea about what he was doing or she didn't know yet.

"I will do my best to make her happy," Eros said with conviction.

Sienna patted Eros's shoulder. "I know Selene is having a hard time. I heard her grandmother passed away. Selene had been through a lot of hardships. Do your best, Eros in helping her and making her happy. I'm counting on you."

"Yes, mother angel! I will do that for Selene."

Sienna nodded her head. "I guess it's time to leave now." She stood up.

"Are you leaving already? Selene wanted to see you. Can't you see her now?"

Eros remembered that Selene wanted to thank his mother angel Sienna for helping her. That time, he told Selene that Sienna was seldom visiting the human world.

Sienna looked upstairs. There was a gleam in her eyes as she watched the door of Grandma Elysa's room. Selene was staying there right now.

"I want to see her too. But not now. She's tired. She's already sleeping, Eros. Do you have the heart to wake her up now?"

Eros shook his head. He didn't want to interrupt her peaceful sleep.

"Take good care of her, Eros."

"I will…"

Sienna was about to leave when she stopped on her track. She faced Eros once again.

"I met Zaki a few days ago. He told me something…"

"Eros, you have to complete your mission for Selene's sake. Zaki warned me. If you fail, something bad will happen. Selene's life will be put in danger again."
