~ At the Church ~

Everyone was wondering why the bridal car hadn't arrived yet. Samantha couldn't contact Eros and Selene.

In the end, Samantha dialed the number of the driver. She instructed him to check on Selene and Eros inside the mansion.

Selene was the only one missing. Without her, they couldn't start the wedding on time. They were already delayed for several minutes. That was also the length of time Eros and Selene had spent just kissing each other inside her room.

Mr. M and Micaela were enjoying the anxious expression of Renz and his parents. They were uneasy since the bride hadn't arrived yet.

Grandma Elysa just remained in her seat, patiently waiting. She was feeling ill today but she tried her best to look well.

She was looking forward to seeing her granddaughter walk down the aisle in her white dress while her future husband was waiting for her at the altar.

This was her only wish before disappearing in this world. She knew that she didn't have much time left. She could feel it.

She was getting weaker and weaker every day. However, she found it strange as she felt suddenly better whenever Eros, also known as Gabriel, would take care of her.

Eros was transferring his angel's energy to grandma Elysa every night through his angel's breath. So in the morning, she felt better. However, she was feeling weak and tired at the end of the day. But the good thing was she couldn't feel any pain.

She turned at the entrance of the church. Selene was not yet around.

"Granddaughter, where are you now? Come here already. I want to see you…" Grandma Elysa murmured to herself.

Grandma Elysa had a hopeful look in her eyes. She was holding and rubbing her hands together as she waited for Selene's arrival.

Azrael glanced at Grandma Elysa. He frowned as he noticed something strange about her.

'Why is her life energy decreasing drastically? Is she dying?' Azrael looked around but he didn't see any grim reapers in the area aside from him.

'Forget it. I think I am just mistaken. If she is dying, there should be an assigned grim reaper to fetch her soul. Sigh, I didn't even see her name in the book of death when Eros asked me to find out her time of death.'

Meanwhile, Renz could not relax until he could see Selene. He was feeling impatient and uneasy.

He met Micaela's eyes moments ago. He saw her smiling at him meaningfully.

'Did Selene back out today? Did Micaela tell her something? Why is she not here yet?' Renz continued pacing back and forth.

Arthur could only shake his head helplessly.

After a while, someone announced the arrival of the bridal car. Selene arrived together with Eros.

"The bride is here! The bride is here! Get ready! We will start the wedding entourage now!"

The flower girls and escorts, including the groomsmen, bridesmaids, sponsors, and godparents lined up in their respective spots with their partners.

Micaela and Mr. M exchanged meaningful glances with one another. They were surprised that Selene didn't run away and still showed up her face even after watching Renz's scandal video.

'Selene, you are really a fool for still loving the man who betrayed you. Stupid woman,' Micaela thought to herself. Her lips curled upward into a mocking smile.

Outside the church, Selene and Eros were still inside the car. Eros was holding Selene's hand.

"Don't be nervous. You can do it. We are one step in accomplishing our mission," Eros whispered to her.

Selene just nodded her head. She gave him a forced smile. The truth was Selene wanted to talk to Renz first regarding the video. She felt like she couldn't marry him yet.

She thought of running away and not appearing here. But something was stopping her from doing that, or rather, it was someone.

Despite her heartache, she would continue this marriage for her grandmother's sake. She wanted to fulfill her grandma's wish.

She knew that her grandmother would be hurt if she learned the truth about Renz's scandal. She would be sad if Selene didn't come for some unknown reason.

Selene didn't want her grandmother to worry about her. Her marriage with Renz would make her grandma feel at ease. She loved her grandmother so much that she was willing to do this although she was hurting inside.

"Selene, thank you," Eros mumbled.

Selene knew that he was referring to the passionate kiss they shared a while ago.

Selene shook her head. "I should thank you for comforting me a while ago, my angel."

Eros smiled at her but his eyes were gleaming with sadness.

"Best wishes, Selene. Good luck in the new chapter of your life," Eros mumbled before leaning over to kiss her on her forehead.

After that, he stepped out of the car first. He opened the door for her as he escorted her to the entrance of the church.

They closed the door when she arrived. They would open it from the inside once it was her turn to walk down the aisle.

Her grandmother was her only family left so she was the one who would escort Selene going to Renz.

Outside the door, they could hear the love songs Renz and Selene had chosen for this occasion. They hired a singer who was currently singing those love songs.

As she listened to the music, Selene couldn't help but shed some tears. She could remember how Renz treated her sweetly during their photoshoot.

She could feel that he was slowly changing and he was extra caring towards her. She thought he was already falling for her. She thought he could see her now as a woman, not as a younger sibling.

But her hopes were shattered upon watching the scandal video. She assumed that after the woman pleasured Renz, something happened between them.

Selene's heart was breaking as she thought about those possibilities. She could understand that Renz was a man who had needs.

But, why did he have to do it with another woman just a few days before their wedding? Was she not enough for him? Couldn't he wait for his wife?
