Eros and Selene felt like they didn't want to let go as they continued hugging each other. He wondered why Selene was acting weird.

"Selene, is there something bothering you? You can tell me. I will listen," Eros softly said to her while rubbing her back.

Selene broke the hug and looked straight into his eyes. She wanted to tell him but she hesitated. In the end, she just shook her head.

"Nothing. I'm fine. I am just nervous," Selene said as an alibi.

She began to be afraid of telling the truth to Eros. She didn't know how he would react. Renz's betrayal only meant they hadn't succeeded yet with their goal.

But the question right now was 'Can she still continue it?'

Selene was heartbroken once again. She was hurting a lot. She wanted to scream and punch Renz right now.

Selene was still lost in her thoughts when suddenly Eros spoke up.

"Are you having second thoughts now? Are you hesitating to marry him?" Eros asked her expectantly.

Selene was rendered speechless. And because of her silence, Eros continued speaking.

"Just tell me if you don't want to marry him, I am willing to be his substitute. I will marry you," Eros declared to Selene.

Selene: "..."

Seeing her dumbfounded expression, Eros let out a soft chuckle. He cupped her face and gazed at her, his eyes gleaming with humor.

He just wanted to lighten her mood by joking like that. However, deep inside he meant every word.

"Hmm, Selene, look at me and tell me what do you want," Eros urged her, still staring intently into her eyes.

Selene was now tempted to tell Eros to help her run away as far as possible from this place.

She didn't know what to do anymore. Her heart was aching but her mind was telling her to hang on for her grandmother's sake.

Selene gave him a faint smile, feeling grateful. Eros's presence helped her lessen the pain inside her heart. She was comforted by him.

She didn't answer Eros, instead, she was the one who asked him.

"Eros… how about you? What do you want to do right now?"

Eros flashed his charming smile before answering her questions. He made sure not to break their eye contact.

"I want to kidnap this beautiful bride right now. I am thinking of making her mine. I am thinking of replacing the groom. In short, I want to marry you," Eros said truthfully, expressing his thoughts with her.

Selene giggled thinking that Eros was just joking to make her feel better. But thanks to him, she was able to lift up her mood. She even laughed just now.

"You can't do that or else, you will not be able to accomplish your mission. I don't want to be your first failure. I don't want to ruin your reputation as the most capable cupid who never failed any mission."

Eros heaved a frustrated sigh after hearing that. 'I know that those thoughts are just my wishful thinking.'

"Selene, since I can't marry you… can I at least kiss you?" Eros asked her with yearning in his blue eyes.

Selene fell silent for a moment. She was not supposed to kiss another man just a few minutes before her wedding.

But the video of Renz popped up in her mind. She wanted to rebel because of that. She wanted to get even at him.

After contemplating for a while, Selene made up her mind. Just this once… she would allow Eros to kiss her.

She nodded her head and said, "Eros… kiss me!"

Eros was taken aback. He didn't expect that Selene would agree.

He was about to ask her if she was sure about this when Selene grabbed Eros's head as she tiptoed, kissing his lips.

Selene was the first one who initiated the kiss. She closed her eyes, trying to savor this moment.

Eros froze in his spot, his unblinking eyes shot open as he felt her soft lips gently brushing his lips.

Selene had improved when it came to kissing. She didn't feel awkward anymore as she tasted Eros's lips.

Eros felt like electricity was running throughout his body. Selene's kiss brought a tingling sensation deep inside his heart. He was overjoyed.

Eros also closed his eyes as he began responding to her. Their movements were slow and gentle, not demanding. They nibbled on each other's lips, licking and tasting their sweetness.

Eros was caressing her cheeks as he continued kissing her. He felt like he was drowning. He needed to feel her more so Eros started to deepen the kiss.

He urged her to open her mouth for him so that his tongue could explore her mouth. He loved tasting her inside.

Selene parted her lips and eagerly welcomed his tongue with hers. They got entangled inside her mouth, flicking and licking each other's tongues.

Selene let out a soft moan as she pulled his head closer. She was loving this kiss. They stopped for a few seconds to grab some air then they were back to kissing again.

They did it over and over again until they satisfied their yearning for each other. The kiss lasted for several minutes.

They didn't want to stop as if this was the last time they would kiss each other. Their phones started ringing but they ignored them, or rather, they couldn't hear anything aside from the loud beating of their hearts, their panting, and heavy breathing.

They were lost in their own world, just kissing each other.

'Selene, I can no longer stop my desire. I am desiring you now? What can I do to stop? I don't know, or rather I don't want to stop now,' Eros thought to himself.

'I'm sorry, Eros if I am using you right now just to ease the pain brought by Renz.'

Selene became more fierce and aggressive in kissing Eros. She was taking out her frustrations, her anger, and her pain through this kiss.

She clung to him tightly, not allowing him to stop. Well, Eros didn't plan on stopping first. He was following Selene's lead.
