In the church…

Everyone was already there, waiting for the bride. They were about to start the wedding ceremony.

Renz kept pacing back and forth at the entrance door of the church, feeling nervous. This was the first time he felt like this.

In just a few minutes, Selene would become his wife. He couldn't wait for this wedding ceremony to end.

"Renz, stop that. You are making me feel dizzy," Arthur slightly scolded him. He was watching him.

Renz stopped walking and faced Arthur with a bright smile. "I'm sorry. I am just nervous and excited."

Grandma Elysa, Samantha, and Azrael also arrived. They approached Renz upon seeing him at the entrance.

"Renz, why are you still here? You should be waiting at the altar, not here!" Samantha said, teasing Renz.

Grandma Elysa just giggled seeing the anxious expression of Renz. She walked over to him and held his shoulders upon reaching his spot.

"Renz, starting today, I am leaving my granddaughter in your care. Fulfill your promise. Love her and protect her on my behalf, okay?"

Renz nodded his head, feeling determined as he met Grandma Elysa's gaze.

"Yes, grandma. I will do that. I will love and protect her. I will make her happy. You don't have to worry about Selene. I will do my best to become a good husband to her," Renz responded with sincerity.

Renz held her hands. Grandma Elysa smiled faintly, feeling relieved.

"Thank you, Renz. I will now be at peace."

"Hmm, I think you should go to the front now. The wedding ceremony will start soon. The entourage is ready. Selene is coming too," Samantha told Renz and Arthur.

They obeyed Samantha and went inside the church. Grandma Elysa, Samantha, and Azrael also entered the church.

Azrael roamed his eyes at his surroundings. So far, there was no sign of the dark soul. There were lots of people as well. It would take time to find out if the dark soul was among them.

'Where are you? Are you coming too to witness Selene's wedding? Argh, I hope the dark soul will not create any trouble here.' Azrael thought to himself.

His mind was occupied by the dark soul when Azrael felt a soft hand holding his elbow. When he turned to his side, he saw Samantha smiling at him.

"Watch your steps, Azie. You look distracted. Are you okay?"

Azrael just gazed at Samantha for several seconds before nodding his head.

"I-I'm fine…" he replied.

Samantha was about to say something again when suddenly someone wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Jackson, you are here!" Samantha said with her elated voice. She was paying attention to Azrael that she failed to notice Mr. M.

Azrael met Mr. M's gaze. They checked each other out from top to bottom.

Mr. M sneered at him before he turned Samantha to face him, kissing her on the lips. Azrael could only frown at Mr. M's action.

"Sweety, I missed you…" Mr. M softly mumbled after breaking the kiss.

He didn't know what had gotten into him but the moment he saw Samantha walking together with a handsome man, Mr. M felt the urge to let Azrael know that Samantha was his woman.

"I missed you too," Samantha responded, watching Mr. M with amusement.

'Eh, what's wrong with him suddenly kissing me in public?' Samantha wondered to herself.

When she turned to Azrael, he was already walking away from them.

Azrael moved to find a seat without saying anything to Samantha and Mr. M. He didn't like how Mr. M was looking at him.

He just shrugged his shoulders and moved his focus back to finding the dark soul.

Meanwhile, Micaela messaged Mr. M. She already saw him inside the church but they ignored each other.

Mr. M just finished greeting his girlfriend, Samantha when he noticed Micaela's message. He secretly opened her message.

[ Micaela: "Do you think Selene will not show up here? Have you sent the video to her? What if she recognized me?" ]

Mr. M smiled after seeing her message. He could tell that Micaela was feeling uneasy right now. He started typing a message and sent a reply to Micaela.

[ Mr. M: "I'm done. Don't worry. She won't see your face on the video, only your back. Let's wait and see. If she will still show up here and marry Renz then I will commend her for being a fool." ]

[ Micaela: "She is indeed a fool, that's why I have a bad feeling that she will come and the wedding ceremony will continue." ]

[ Mr. M: "Just relax and enjoy the show. Even if she shows up and decides to continue the wedding despite what she has seen, you can always ruin their relationship." ]

Micaela frowned after seeing Mr. M's message. He sounded confident as if they had nothing to worry about.

'How I wish. But Renz is being stubborn, trying to ignore me. I have to do everything to get him,' Micaela sighed at that thought.

[ Mr. M: "Renz is an easy target for you, Micaela. Just focus on taming him. Either he is married or not, it doesn't matter. Everything will work out just fine if he becomes an obedient man to you." ]

[ Micaela: "Alright, I got it. I know what to do." ]

Everyone was still waiting for the bridal car but it hadn't arrived yet. The wedding should have started already.

The guests were wondering why the bride was not yet there. Renz became more anxious since Selene was not yet there.

'Did something happen to her? No, I think I am just overthinking.' Renz felt uneasy.

Grandma Elysa also became worried. Her granddaughter should be there already. What took her so long to come?

"Samantha, dear, can you check and ask Selene or Gabriel where they are now?" Grandma Elysa requested.

Samantha nodded before picking up her phone inside her purse. She dialed Selene's number. It was ringing but no one was answering. She tried contacting Gabriel but he was not answering as well.

"Eh, why is no one answering their phones? Where are they? What are they doing now?"
