They had a mini gathering at night where everyone got to mingle with one another. They rented a spacious venue in the resort.

Unlike the bachelor party where men and women were separated, this time both sides united to throw a party for the groom and bride.

They prepared special numbers like dancing and singing with karaoke, dedicated to the couple. However, Eros didn't sing for Selene this time. He was not in the mood, especially now that Renz was there.

Renz and Selene danced at the center of the hall as the singers sang for them. Grandma Elysa also joined them.

On the other hand, Azrael kept alert at all times, observing the people inside. He was still keeping an eye on them, thinking that the dark soul was there with them.

The dark soul Azrael was chasing after could possess a human body. It was also the best strategy to hide from the grim reapers.

But Azrael could still see the difference in aura once the dark soul merged with someone and took over the human body.

Eros joined him on the corner. He needed to divert his attention away from Selene.

"How is it? Did you find someone suspicious?" Eros asked Azrael curiously.

Azrael shook his head. "So far, everything here looks normal. Don't tell me you just deceived me so that you would have a fake boyfriend tonight?"

Eros narrowed his eyes at Azrael. "I didn't deceive you. Honestly, I also want to catch that soul. He seems to know Selene and Grandma Elysa. What if that soul is one of Selene's parents? Have you checked it? The name?"

Azrael heaved a deep sigh. "Do you know what the funny thing is? Once the soul leaves the Netherworld, his or her name will be erased in the book of death."

"I guess Zaki has a way to confirm it. But once I bring up the topic about Selene, it's like I'm digging my own grave. He will know our deal and what happened to her. I will be doomed so I can't tell him."

"He also forbids us from getting closer to the book of death in the meantime."

Eros exhaled sharply. "Is there no other way aside from letting Zaki know?"

Azrael shook his head as a response.

"If Selene's death has something to do with the escaped soul, I guess it's just a matter of time before Zaki will know everything. Don't kill me soon, Eros. Let me have a peaceful day for now. So I have to catch this dark soul first."

"How about the missing soul who was killed by this dark soul? Any update?" Eros asked him expectantly.

"The missing soul? Hmm, still the same. The soul is still missing! Hahaha!" Azrael laughed after saying that.

Eros hit Azrael's head because of his lame joke.

"Awww! Is this how you treat your loving boyfriend?" Azrael complained to him.

"What do you want me to do? Kiss you?" Eros spat back at him.

When he said his last words both Eros and Azrael crumpled their faces, covering their mouths using their hands and acting like they were about to throw up just thinking about kissing each other.

"Damn, Eros! Don't corrupt my innocent and virgin mind!"

"Heh! I just said it on impulse! I don't have any plans to kiss you."

"I already have a kissing partner," he murmured, smiling foolishly as he thought about Selene.

"Huh? What did you say?" Azrael didn't clearly hear his last sentence.

"Nothing. I said mind your own business."

"Yeah, I will. Besides, my lips are only reserved for my dearest Sienna. I should preserve my purity until then!" Azrael said with his dreamy eyes.

"If you want to be with Mother Sienna, why don't you try and take over Zaki's position first? With that, you will be worthy of her. Both of you will become the leader of two realms. One is the mother angel of cupids while the other one is the supreme leader of grim reapers," Eros suggested, giving Azrael a challenging look.

"Hahaha," Azrael laughed dryly. "Taking over Zaki's position? Well, it's like you are telling me to go and commit suicide!"

Eros arched his eyebrow. "Is he that powerful?"

Azrael narrowed his eyes at Eros. "You know nothing about us grim reapers! Gosh, Eros, are you really my friend?"

"No! I'm your boyfriend right now!" Eros corrected with a straight face.

The two heavenly beings were still talking at the corner of the venue when Meghan approached them.

"Hey Gabriel, and Azrael, are you really in a relationship? You know everyone can pretend. I can pretend and tell my friends that I like women and I have a girlfriend. I can just ask one of my girl friends t act as my fake girlfriend in front of others," Meghan said, confronting the two men.

Talking with them and watching them from afar, Meghan was still not convinced that the two were in a relationship.

Eros and Azrael were both rendered speechless because Meghan's words were the truth. They were just pretending.

'Argh! This girl is another troublemaker!' Eros lamented to himself.

"Gabriel, are you really in a secret affair with Selene?"

Azrael scoffed at her. 'Secret affair my ass?! He is her cupid! Love adviser, not lover!'

"What proof do you need so that you will be convinced?" Eros asked her lazily. He had no interest in talking to her.

"I already said many times, Selene is not cheating on Renz!" Eros could easily get affected once Renz's friends started talking badly at Selene, accusing her of cheating.

'She is not cheating! I am the one seducing her!' Eros admitted in his mind.

Meghan smiled playfully as she eyed Eros and Azrael.

"Proof you say? Hmm, how about you kiss each other in front of me, now?!" She demanded.

"Cough! Cough!" Azrael choked on his saliva after hearing that.

'WHAT?!! kissing Eros? No way!'

Meanwhile, Eros's jaw dropped with his unblinking eyes. 'Damn! I wanna throw this woman in the middle of the ocean and feed her to the sharks! Oh God, my mother angel, forgive me for thinking such evil things!'
