"Azrael?" Eros mumbled as soon as he recognized the newcomer. There was a surprised look on his face.

No wonder the mission badge attached to the black robe of the grim reapers looked familiar. He had already seen it on Azrael's black robe.

Among the grim reapers who entered the hotel, only Azrael could recognize Eros in his human form.

"Eros, what are you doing here?" Azrael asked him upon reaching his spot.

"My human contractee is in this hotel so it is natural that I am here," Eros answered matter-of-factly.

Azrael's lips stretched into a broad smile. "It seems that we are seeing each other more often. Is this destiny?"

Eros also flashed a wide smirk while saying, "It seems like your sense of humor is getting worse every day."

Azrael knitted his eyebrows into a frown. "It seems that your skill of 'annoying me' is improving day by day."

Eros let out a soft chuckle when Azrael's expression became ugly. Indeed, he looked annoyed now.

"Anyway, why are you here? I saw the seven elite grim reapers entering this hotel. Are they your teammates in your mission?"

"Oh, speaking of that, I have no time to chit-chat with you. I have to capture a dark soul who happens to be in this building right now." Azrael said, getting ready to leave.

"Wait, do you mean the soul who escaped from the Netherworld?"

"Yes! After a long time, we finally managed to locate that soul. I gotta go. Let's talk later. We must catch the dark soul first before it creates another trouble here!"

Azrael disappeared in Eros's sight in an instant. He was in a hurry.

"Dark soul? Is that soul dangerous? Eight Elite Grim Reapers were sent and mobilized just to catch him." Eros pondered to himself.

"Well, I will commend that soul if he can still escape. Eight grim reapers are trying to catch him. It will be hard to escape now."

Eros decided to go back to the pool area to check on Selene and others. What if that dark soul will try to harm humans while trying to escape? He needed to protect Selene.

~ At the 13th Floor, Pool Area ~

Meanwhile, Selene and others had decided to get out of the pool. It was almost time for lunch. They also needed to check out the hotel after lunch.

Selene and others took a shower in the pool bathrooms as they also brought their clothes. After a few minutes, Selene got out of the bathroom.

She noticed that Renz and others were not yet done showering.

"I should go to my room first. I wonder where my cupid is. Sigh, he is always missing in action."

The memory of Renz visiting and greeting her early this morning with a tight hug brought a smile to her lovely face.

"Why do I feel like Renz is slowly changing? He is becoming sweeter day by day. Is he falling for me already?"

Selene blushed at that thought. She covered her face using both hands. 'Gosh, my heart is fluttering.'

She was now walking to the entrance door of the pool area when she bumped into someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Mister. I was distracted that I didn't notice you there," Selene apologized, slightly bowing her head.

But to her surprise, the man suddenly called her name. "Selene."

His voice was low but she still heard it. She frowned, gazing up to look at the man's face.

'Did he just call my name? Does he know me?' Selene wondered to herself.

Upon meeting his gaze, the crease on Selene's forehead deepened.

'Did he cry? His eyes are red and puffy.'

"Mister, Are you okay? Is there something wrong?" Selene asked him worriedly. She couldn't explain but she sensed some familiarity with him, just like what Grandma Elysa had felt a while ago.

The man shook his head. He just raised his hand, touching Selene's face.

Selene was caught off guard by that gesture. But she remained rooted in her spot, allowing the man to touch her face.

'Who is he?'

"I'm glad… I'm glad… you are back and safe," the man softly mumbled. There was an apologetic look on his face.

'I'm sorry, Selene. I'm sorry. It's my fault…'

Selene became more puzzled when she heard his last statement.

"Mister, what do you mean? Do I know you?" Selene asked him with utmost curiosity.

The man was about to answer her when he suddenly sensed something.

"They are here…"

The man blurted out, feeling alarmed.

"Selene!" Eros called out from a distance.

Selene and the strange man glanced in his direction. Eros was waving at her with a bright smile on his face.

But the smile on his face disappeared in an instant upon recognizing the man who was standing in front of Selene. His hand was still touching Selene's cheek.

'Huh? That man… he is the same guy who followed us in the restaurant. The man who was observing Grandma Elysa. Why is he talking to Selene? Do they know each other?'

Eros walked over to approach them. He wanted to ask Selene to find out about their relationship.

However, before Eros could reach their spot, the man suddenly turned around to leave. He went to another exit door and he was in a hurry.

'Eh, why is he running?' Eros asked himself.

Both Selene and Eros were confused seeing the man running away in a hurry as if someone was chasing after him.

'Where is he going?' Selene pondered to herself.

Just a few seconds when the man left, Eros caught a glimpse of the dark shadows coming their way.

'The elite grim reapers are still here, searching for the dark soul,' Eros thought to himself.

"Here! I can sense his aura here. He was here not long ago!" One of the grim reapers said as he passed by the pool area.

Eros's eyes widened in realization when he heard those words.

'Wait? Don't tell me… the guy who was talking to Selene a while ago… is the one the grim reapers are searching for? Is he the Soul who escaped from the Netherworld?'
