Some girls started approaching Eros, giving him bottled water and a handkerchief. A lady even wiped the sweat on his forehead, causing his teammate to tease Eros.

Selene heard the voices of the other team. She glanced in their direction only to see Eros being surrounded by beautiful ladies.

Their eyes met. Eros was also looking in her direction, with his gloomy expression. Selene didn't know what to feel after meeting his gaze.

'Why does he look sad even though he is already catching the attention of the beautiful ladies around this beach?' Selene pondered to herself.

Selene was the first one who looked away. She could no longer watch Eros while being pampered by those girls.

Selene decided to take a CR break and go to the comfort room for a while. Eros saw her leaving the beachfront.

Eros's lips curled up as he just found a perfect time to approach Selene. He excused himself first. They still had ten minutes before the start of the third round.

Eros followed Selene and waited for her outside the comfort room.

Selene almost jumped in horror when someone suddenly pulled her upon coming out of the comfort room.

"Gabriel?!!! You gave me a fright!" Selene hit Eros's chest the moment she saw his face.

"What are you doing here?" Selene asked him exasperatedly.

Eros pouted his lips while putting on a pitiful face.

"Selene, can you cheer for me too?" Eros begged her with his pleading tone. He looked like a cute puppy asking Selene for food.

Selene: "..."

"I am your friend too, but you never cheer for me," Eros lamented to her, still holding her shoulders.

Selene's perfectly shaped eyebrows were drawn together upon hearing Eros.

"There are lots of women out there cheering for you!" Selene scowled at him as she recalled the image of Eros being surrounded by the ladies. She was a little bit annoyed.

Eros heaved a deep sigh, still not giving up.

"But I want you to cheer for me, not them," Eros insisted.

"My teammate is about to throw me away because of my ugly performance. Please, can you cheer for me too?"

Selene just rolled her eyes skyward. Eros was becoming unreasonable and childish. Grandma Elysa was already cheering for him. But here he was pestering Selene just for a cheer.

"Alright! I'll cheer for you now."

Eros's face brightened up upon hearing that.

"Go Gab! Fighting! You can do it!" Selene said, raising her fist.

"Now, let go of me. Go back there. I'm done cheering." Selene said, there was a gleam of humor in her brown eyes.

Eros just looked at her blankly. He thought she would do it on the volleyball court while he was playing.

There was a look of disappointment on Eros's face. He was not satisfied by this.

"Hey, what's wrong? Why are you still looking at me like that?"

Eros finally let go of her shoulders. "Alright. Forget it. I know I'm not important to you." He looked

Selene: "..."

'Gabriel is acting strangely again. What is he? A kid? He is being childish now.'

Eros was about to turn and leave but Selene grabbed his elbow right away, thus stopping him.

"Gabriel, you know I can't cheer for both teams. My fiancee is playing on the opposing team. How can I cheer for you? Besides, Grandma Elysa and I are cheering for both of you. Isn't it enough?"

Selene had no choice but to explain to Eros even though she had no obligation to do that. It's just that she couldn't bear to see Eros aka Gabriel acting like this.

Eros heaved another deep sigh. He already knew that. But he was still stubborn. He couldn't help but feel jealous of Renz.

"I understand. But I am still upset. Hmm, I will only feel better if you will give me a good luck charm."

"Good luck charm?" Selene repeated his words, giving him a questioning gaze.

Eros smiled and nodded his head. "Yes, a good luck charm, also known as Lucky Charm. It is better than cheering."

Selene arched her eyebrows in confusion. "What kind of good luck charm?"

Eros flashed her angelic smile or rather his demonic smile before demonstrating what he meant by a good luck charm.

He just suddenly grabbed Selene's chin and the back of her head before stealing a kiss from her. He smashed her lips with his mouth.

Selene's eyes widened in surprise. She didn't see it coming. Eros had caught her off guard again.

Before she knew it, Eros was already holding her head in place as he claimed her lips. It was just a quick kiss, but it was enough to send Selene's heart in turmoil.

What if someone sees them, especially Renz?

Before Selene could react and complain Eros released her lips and fled away.

"Yes! I got my good luck charm! I am ready to claim the victory now!" Eros yelled cheerfully, punching the air.

Selene just watched Eros's retreating back in disbelief. She stayed rooted in her spot, just tracing her lips using her fingers.

After she recovered from her deep stupor, Selene clenched her fists in annoyance.

"Good Luck Charm My Ass! You just take advantage of me, Gabriel!!" Selene screamed but Eros was no longer in her sight.

When Selene returned to the beachfront, the third round had already started. Her jaw dropped seeing the score.

Eros's team was now dominating the entire round. She could also see that Eros was so energized, moving around the court, chasing after the ball.

Renz's team could no longer defend their base once Eros started hitting the ball. Even his teammates didn't know what had gotten to him after the break.

He suddenly became hyper and energetic. They wondered if the ladies' cheering was able to motivate Eros to perform well.

Meanwhile, Selene was still stupefied seeing the amazing performance of Eros.

'Is this the effect of a good luck charm?' Selene asked herself in amusement.

It did not take long when the game ended. Eros's team claimed the victory.

It was a good match between the two teams. Everyone enjoyed it, even the spectators who were just watching on the sideline.

Selene, Eros, Renz, and Grandma Elysa decided to go back to their cottage. While on their way, Eros simply moved closer to Selene, whispering something to her.

"Thank you, Selene. Your good luck charm is the best! It worked like magic. Give me again if ever I will play another game in the future."

Eros winked at Selene before walking ahead of her. The smile on his lips never left. He was in a good mood now.

Selene couldn't believe his shamelessness. How could he kiss her lips over and over again as if it was just natural to do it?

'I have to put up my guard against Gabriel. I can't let him kiss me over and over again,' Selene mumbled, reminding herself.

In the afternoon, Selene and Grandma Elysa were able to bond with each other. They had their private time together.

They strolled around the beachfront, walking hand in hand. Eros and Renz didn't follow them so they could have quality time together as grandmother and granddaughter duo.

They sat on the sand and started to build a sandcastle.

"Grandma, this is our palace. You are the queen and I am the princess," Selene cheerfully mumbled as she carved their names on the sandcastle.

Grandma Elysa giggled. "Yes, my princess. Renz is your prince while Gabriel is your general. Both of them will protect my dear princess."

Selene smiled at her grandma while nodding her.

After they were done building their sandcastle, the grandmother and granddaughter duo turned to the horizon, just watching the sunset from the beach.

They were still sitting on the sand. Selene was hugging her grandmother.

"Grandma, I'm so happy that we can bond like this. Sorry for taking you for granted before." Selene was asking for forgiveness as she felt that she neglected her grandma in her previous life.

"Oh my dear, why are you apologizing? You never took me for granted. You are the sweetest granddaughter in the world. You always show me how much you love me. I can feel it, granddaughter." Grandma Elysa lightly patted Selene's hands that were wrapped around her body.

"Grandma, I'm always grateful to you. Whenever I need you, you are always there beside me. You are my superhero. You taught me lots of things. I promise I will be a better person like you."

Grandma Elysa felt touched after hearing her words. "Of course, I will always be your superhero. I will make sure that no one will make my granddaughter cry or else, this super grandma will give them a taste of my power!"

"No one is allowed to hurt my granddaughter!" she added, with her serious expression.

Selene let out a soft giggle.

"Thank you, grandma. I know I can always count on my super grandma. But now, let me be the one to be your super granddaughter!"
